LE: Exception raised while processing zone spin up sequence
puzzlezaddict I’m having the exact same issue with a single lot - Avenida de la Eternidad in Cuidad Enamorada. I can enter build mode, demolish the lot, and set a new lot type but I cannot build or visit using another household. I’m also unable to enter the lot with the resident household. Another weird glitch is that visiting with another family or exiting the lot from build mode causes an endless load screen, which requires me to force close the game. I’ve tried moving the residents out and following the steps you laid out above and still no luck. Would be open to looking at my dxdiag if I shared it? Thanks!
So I checked your save and I believe you have this issue: Endless Loading/Crashing when trying to load a certain lot (broken object(s)) | EA Forums - 5037252
The LE is probably unrelated to the endless loading as I didn't get that one.
Now, the problem with bulldozing the lot is, that you can't get out after bulldozing. For me it's keeps getting stuck on endless loading when trying to (a typical sign of the thread linked.).
I was able to load the lot by doing these steps
- Enter load from map in build mode
- Bulldoze both terrain & house
- Save the game under a new name
- Shoot down the game
- Restart the game.
- Load the save game (I would not use resume)
- Try to load the lot.
- For me that worked
I think something is broken about the lot itself. Not sure how important the house is for you. If it's not, just place/build something else.
If it's important, there are ways to troubleshoot as outlined in that other thread but it's very time consuming. I currently don't have time to look into it further but maybe you can do your own testing what is actually causing the issue.
I did not do a lot of testing. Just tried loading into the empty lot. I didn't try to visit.
