❗️macOS Monterey and new Sims 4 update - crashing problems

Oh ok, that's good to know. Yes, that was the one I first posted in. Because I noticed everyone in the Monterey thread mentioned they had the Intel chips not the M1 chips. So I wasn't sure if the Monterey x M1 chip combo would produce the same issues as the Monterey x Intel chip. But I think I'll just hold off on updating to Monterey for now. Hi, could you help me too? My sims 4 keeps crashing when I go through making a sim, it either freezes and I can't do anything or it gives a black screen.

Here's my mac info

Hi there I’ve been having the same problem. 
I’ve got a 2012 MacBook 

macOS Monterey 

Version 12.4

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

processor 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Startup Disk Macintosh HDD

Graphics Display 3 MB

it was working the other day and then when I went back into it it just sent the message 

I’ve reset my Mac 

Repaired Sims 

uninstalled and reinstall Origin and Sims 

Clean Bot 

So this problem started feb 2022, when it crashed every few other days but always opened up after reopening it. I had been playing the game since 2019 and never had any problems. But then suddenly one day It crashed and never opened up again. I emailed back and forth with EA and their solutions worked; and then the crash thread came up again making me never be able to open the game again. I deleted origin, deleted and reinstalled sims4, deleted Cache, removed my mods and many other things; I even factory reset my computer with nothing on it completely clear and empty only to be hit with the Crash Thread 26; Bug type 306 again. I put off playing sims4 for months because i was so frustrated with it not opening and i had also just bought a new pack.

This is my last asking for help, for there is nothing else i can do but quit sims4.

So yes, my sims4 game has nothing from previous gameplay on it; no saves, no cc no tray files.

I updated to MacOS Monterey 12.4 yesterday.

I also tried opening the game again and i now got a different crash thread: 22.
