My Sims 4 Keeps crashing

I never had problems with my game till now, during the black Friday sale I bought 2 new game packs, leaving my computer with an extra 70+ gbs, my computer runs on 8 rams and the sims 4 game requires at least 8 rams to run properly. The game was also just recently updated so i am not sure if this has anything to do with my issues. Now to get to my issue every time I try to enter build mode my game crashes as well as using certain items from the new and old game packs I have purchased. Now I am able to play the game, but I can't travel to any location, and I keep notes in my head based on what items I can and can't use so it doesn't crash but after a while it gets boring, and I still can't figure out the root of my problem. 1. I don't play with any ccs no mods nothing just basic game play with only the packs I have, 2. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall my game already and that did not help, 3. I've updated my computer to the newest update because I was told it might be that too. I've deleted everything I didn't need on my computer to leave more room than before for the game to run and I play with nothing else opened in the background. Also I do have a windows computer so it's not a mac issue can anyone help?

  • adaskob  Please force Sims 4 to run in DirectX 11 mode.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.

  • adaskob  Please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Dangyell13  I'd like to see a dxdiag from your computer as well, but please also describe the issue(s) you're seeing.  The other user listed several, and I need to know which ones apply to you and whether you have any other symptoms as well.

The only thing I can think of is my computer might not be able to run properly and let me play sims without crashing because of the amount of game packs I have and the rams it uses. I attached the dxdiag below

  • adaskob  Please force Sims 4 to run in DirectX 11 mode.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.

any luck? im having the same issue and nothing seems to be working for me since getting the life and death pack along with the update

  • TaylorTailoredIt  The original poster marked my suggestion to use DirectX 11 mode as the solution, so presumably it worked for them.  (And the error in their dxdiag was very clearly related to DirectX 9 mode.)  But that doesn't mean it will help you as well.  You can try it, of course.

If DX11 mode doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag, as described above.
