kingflorencio That desktop is a great price for its components. The hardware is overkill for Sims 4, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you want to play around with ReShade or other heavy modifications to the game. And it's a significant drop to the next-lower Nvidia graphics card, without a significant price drop most of the time.
All that is to say, if you like it, and it's within your budget, it's a good choice.

kingflorencio Yes, the desktop is better than your laptop. The information you posted doesn't include the graphics card, but your model can only have up to an RTX 3060, the laptop version of which is two tiers lower than a desktop RTX 4060. The laptop also has a weaker processor and half the RAM. So you should have a better experience playing on the desktop.

what gaming desktop do you recommend that is amazing for the Sims 4 including packs, mods, and cc and in a budget??
kingflorencio The desktop you originally linked is far superior to this laptop, and if you want to record or stream while playing, the extra power will make a significant difference. I also don't think I can find anything better for $800. I will look if you want, but other times I've looked, this type of computer starts around $850 and is usually only under $800 during Black Friday or winter holiday sales.
