Upon trying to get into the lobby for APEX on PS4 I keep getting told that it can not complete EA Account sign in after flashing a grey loading screen (with the same loading symbol used on this site). According to the people I play APEX with there was an update to the TOS today. Is EA's bad coding on a simple ToS update blocking me from being able to play APEX anymore? How do I get this fixed when EA's site to contact them literally wont do anything. I have tried unlinking-relinking my account to EA/origin, I have tried changing my EA password, I have tried resetting the PS4, and closing and reopening the APEX legends app, nothing has worked. Edit: I have also tried loading up Battlefront 2 and had no problem at all playing online. EDIT #2: Since no one from EA seems to have replied or anyone in the community I've found that there seems to be a work around by connecting your Playstation to a different network (LAN cable if you're on wifi, or wifi if you're on LAN, using a Hotspot might work as well but I didn't try that).11KViews12likes23CommentsSomeone made an account under the email I'm using for said account?
So I got an email saying someone had made, and verified, this account using my current email address, naturally I made sure to change the password to this account and all its information, but... I don't understand the motive? Were they waiting for me to log in so they could get my details on the off chance I didn't change the password? To be clear, I did not make this account, it was made using my email and I'm just trying to stay logged in till I know what's going on. I'm not sure what to do about it, are there any other security measures I should be taking here? It's not like they had access to my payment methods or anything, I'm really baffled and concerned. I also changed the password for my email of course, it did scare me that they managed to verify the account somehow, but there's no new logins detected on gmail so I have no idea what's going on. Also if it matters, the email address I received all this info from was mailto:EA@e.ea.com, I wasn't sure if it was legit so I made sure to only log into the website itself, wasn't gonna risk falling for a phishing scam. I recently picked up the game and was excited to dive into some matches. Initially, everything was running smoothly, and I had a great time playing. However, now I’m trying to play a quick match with a few friends, and we hit a frustrating snag. Whenever we select our teams, an error message pops up on the screen stating, "Unable to retrieve your kick-off names data. Please try again." It’s such a disappointment! A few days ago I tried to login into my old account to unlink steam. The problem is ea doesn't send me 2fa verification code. I contacted support and they sent me this link and said to reach live chat support (Screenshot 1) There is no option to contact live chat there. After that they just closed my case. So I opened a new one where I spesifically stated that I need to contact with live chat support. After waiting for another 2 days thay send me this (Screenshot 2) Link is different now but it literally goes to the same page. The case status is now "whaiting on player". Like what do you want from me? THERE IS NO OPTION to contact live chat. I wrote it in my case. What exactly does your support team not understand? At this point I am not even sure that these cases are beign reviewed by real people. And the fact that I have to wait 2 days for each of these responses... I have all required information to login into my account. This problem isn't coming from my side. This is getting beyond frustrating. I paid extra for early access to NHL 25 so I could actually enjoy the game early and get a head start, and yet here I am, completely unable to play anything. Meanwhile, everyone else is out there upgrading their teams and enjoying the early access events, and I’m stuck, missing out on everything. To make things worse, we’ve heard NOTHING from EA. No patch, no fix, no acknowledgment, and definitely no compensation. We deserve something for this disaster. I paid to get ahead, and now I’m being punished for it. I can’t play any online modes—HUT, World of Chel, Online VS, Nothing. The only thing that works is Franchise mode, and even that crashed right after my draft, so I lost all my progress. Deleted all files in game and put everything to default and nothing.
