This game has stopped being about fun
I've played Apex with my friends since launch and this is the worst it's ever been due to the horrid matchmaking. I'm a casual gamer who plays maybe once a week with my friend who's long distance and this game things that I'm an apex predator because that is the only people I see in my lobbies. Ranked is smurfs in low lobbies and full pred stacks when you hit platinum. Pubs is somehow worse with every single lobby having full stack sweat lords who apparently have never touched grass. I should lose to someone I just completely destroyed because they stood still and healed in the middle of the open. There is no trail not visual effects nothing that displays any way of finding him after that point and don't say "oh you can hear him" some people including myself can't due to hearing loss caused by occupational hazards not to mention the fully deaf population. So what they can't win because of their physical disabilities. I'm not even fully deaf yet and I still can't hear him using a shield battery. Mirage is an operator than can already use his tac and ult to confuse enemy players that requires skill but his invisibility needs to be nerfed or removed because it’s not a skill used tactically it’s most of the time luck and results in unskilled fights with better players which result in complete luck if he already has 2 ults that he can utilise to heal why does he need invisibility aswell it’s a joke at least make him semi visible or even ban it from competitive because I can see there are fun and competitive aspects in other game modes but not in ranked apexej213223t9m95 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer33Views2likes3CommentsIdea for universal directional strafing.
Hi. I'm a controller player, and I've played Apex since launch, I sadly stopped playing about two years ago when Steam configs got patched. Now don't get me wrong, removing exploits like recoil cancelling, and neo strafing was a really good call! But it also removed directional strafing for legitimate controller players on PC, and honestly, Movement was the thing that kept the game fun for me generally, So this is why i quit, i also posted about it here at the time. I came back about two months ago because I still love Apex's core gameplay, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it! But after two months of playtime, I'm reminded every session of what's missing: being able to utilise the whole spectrum of movement available for only certain input players in Apex. The movement just feels stiff and a bit lackluster compared to what I was able to do with strafing. Here's an idea I've been thinking about for a while: What if directional strafing became a universal, intentional mechanic that everyone could access natively? What if both mouse and keyboard and controller would have the same streamlined strafe mechanic built in to them right off the bat? No extra buttons or binds, but regular directional input that triggers a strafe? Give all players movement outright! I know this needs balance consideration alongside it. Also, general adjustments to controller aim assist would help if we're trying to keep things fair across inputs, so that movement and gunplay complement each other rather than aim assist doing all the heavy lifting on its own. Horizon and Axel brought some great movement expression to the game, and I appreciate that. But having strafing available as a baseline for every legend, regardless of input, would be a very welcomed change in my eyes, and That's the version of Apex I'd love to see, and I think a lot of the community would too. Ranked System
Hello, Like many other players, I strongly disagree with this new ranked system. I recently reached Diamond IV and can no longer play with my friends who are still in Platinum. I can understand that restriction to some extent, but what makes even less sense is that I can't even queue with other Diamond IV players. In my opinion, if you wanted to introduce stricter matchmaking restrictions, they should only apply to the very highest ranks. A full squad of Diamond IV players does not negatively impact the competitive integrity of anyone's matches. Even with this new system, Apex Predators will still end up in the same lobbies as Diamond players, which has already happened to me. Because of that, I don't understand the reasoning behind these changes. My friends and I were working together toward reaching Masters, but now we've completely lost the motivation to keep playing ranked after finding out we can't even queue together in Diamond. Hello everyone, I was really excited for the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration and was planning to buy several items from it. Unfortunately, the Rampart Rebecca skin turned out quite disappointing. It barely resembles Rebecca from the anime - it looks much more like a slightly modified default Rampart. The proportions, face, hair and overall design feel off and unattractive. I also have concerns about the Lucy skin — it doesn’t capture the character’s look well either. Many players feel the same way (you can see similar comments under official posts on Twitter/X and TikTok, and even in comparison videos with other Cyberpunk collaborations). I truly appreciate all the hard work the developers put into this collab, but I hope they will consider improvements or redesigns for these skins. Loba - Buff/Rework Ideas
Hey Respawn, I'm a support character main and Loba is my favorite character to play. She has certainly fallen off with the most recent buffs to other characters and how well y'all have cleaned up the loot pool and distribution around the POIs. I wanted to share some of my ideas to buff Loba to put her back in the rotation while keeping her central as the "loot" support character and her thief lore. Passive: Buff/Rework Idea #1: 1) Epic and legendary loot seen through walls, can be pinged, and can open armories without keys. (current passive) 2) Loba and her teammates are able to see ALL loot for 30 seconds right after landing from the dropship. (new) 3) Loba and her teammates default backpack is always blue quality, even after respawning. (new) 4) Loba receives a 5% movement speed buff when running towards Legendary & Mythic loot. (new) Buff/Rework Idea #2: 1) Epic and legendary loot seen through walls, can be pinged, and can open armories without keys. (current passive) 2) Loba shares her loot vision with teammates while they are within 15m of Loba. (new) 3) Loba and her teammates default backpack is always blue quality, even after respawning. (new) 4) Loba receives a 5% movement speed buff when running towards Legendary & Mythic loot. (new) Buff/Rework Idea #3: (most ideal) 1) Rare, Epic, & Legendary loot seen through walls, can be pinged, and can open armories without keys. (current passive *buffed*) 2) Loba and her teammates default backpack is always blue quality, even after respawning. (new) 3) Loba receives a 5% movement speed buff when running towards Legendary & Mythic loot. (new) Tactical: 1) Reduce cooldown by 4 seconds (From 24 seconds to 20) 2) Reduce base range to 50 meters (previously 70m) 3) Allow the bracelet to be canceled mid-flight. However, if canceled, endure a 4-second lockout. 4) Increase beginning animation speed slightly (where she prepares her bracelet to be thrown). Ultimate: 1) Increase range/radius by 30%. 2) Auto-collect banners with mobile respawn, if available. 3) Increase interaction range to 4 meters (previously 2 meters). Upgrades: Tactical: Integrate current Wolf's Claws into base kit. (NEW) Blue #1: Increase tactical range (2x), travel speed (2x), and height (1.5x). (NEW) Blue#2: Loba becomes cloaked during the throw and briefly after landing (1.5 seconds) Ultimate: Integrate current Shopping Spree into base kit. (NEW) Purple #1: Loba and teammates become cloaked while in the Black Market. (Will get canceled with movement/shooting). ive played apex legends for 19 seasons now & this has to be the absolute worst ive ever seen it, so much so that i felt it was necessary to leave feedback. The matchmaking is so unbalanced and unfair to anyone who is diamond or below. constantly getting put against pred & master teams.. all while being unable to play ranked with friends. its literally the exact same thing as before just having to do it with a random fill squad. its still 2 preds 1 master to a team or 3 masters and they just run through the diamonds and plats that should not even be in the same lobby. this needs to be fixed asap as its the most unplayable season ive ever been apart of. the constant loss of rp and then being demoted makes it increasingly demotivating to continue to play this game that ive loved and enjoyed for so long. im sure there are better ways to implement more balanced matchmaking that keeps the solo queue aspect that you're hoping for, but the way it currently is its a massive L. 😓18Views0likes1CommentMatchmaking Issues
im sick and tired of constantly being put into lobbies with Masters and Pred players when ive only ever hit gold. i dont usually play ranked i play to have fun but i can play 9/10 games and have either Masters or Pred players in my lobby making it unplayable. why is this still and issue ive been playing for years and i swear its getting worse. not only that but the servers are terrible. this game has been out for 7 years and somehow has the worst serves out of any shooter. i really do love this game but the current problems with it for the people who play casually and play to have fun is unbearable. ive just got my friends into it recently who are on new accounts and we're getting in the same lobby as someone who was once #73 in the world. it doesnt make any sense and it wasn't fun for any of us. this needs to be fixed asap. pubs should be for casuals to go and have fun with people of equal level not fighting Masters and Preds who shouldnt even be in those lobbies to begin with34Views2likes4Comments- zhaodehaan1 day agoSeasoned Newcomer10Views0likes2Comments
Save apex remove eomm and sbmm before it's too late

I feel the ability to gain height and drop from height is too easy, it's just an ingrained mechanic that people do naturally and pay no mind to. The advantage that high ground gives you in an end game ring situation gives the team on height a significant advantage because all they have left to do is drop down and clean house once they get some free damage. I think a legend that counters vertical movement by enabling fall damage would be interesting and would force you to think about the consequences of vertical positioning. Obviously the advantage of height is usually earned through positioning and rotation so I'm not writing this as a complaint, it's not an issue that needs fixing, but I think it would be interesting to consider an "anti movement" type legend that makes players think twice about what might be considered a "god spot". Especially now with the addition of so many vertical movement abilities (valk, revenant, fuse, alter, pathfinder, octane, horizon, ash, vantage, loba, newcastle). The ability to gain height fast is mind numbingly easy. Maybe the ability would be like an aoe ult that increases the gravity in a certain space for all players. Could just be a horizon rework honestly. Or maybe like a seer tac type ability that imposes increased gravity or fall damage onto one player for a short period called like "boots of iron" or something, more like a high skill timing type ability. The legend could wear heavy **bleep** boots but since their legs are jacked as **bleep** they would run the same speed as everyone else except with a passive that does damage to players that you jump onto. I am writing to strongly urge you to reconsider the current matchmaking design for Bot Royale. I understand that there is currently a 5% to 15% chance (depending on peak hours) that another real player squad will be matched into the same game. From a player's perspective, this ruins the entire purpose of the mode. Players choose Bot Royale precisely because they aren't looking for PvP combat at that moment. Forcing actual players into the mix completely ruins the mode's original intent. Since there is no proper skill-based matchmaking for this mode, high-level players are frequently matched with absolute beginners. For skilled players, beating such opponents offers no sense of achievement or satisfaction. (On the rare occasion they face someone of equal or greater skill and lose, it’s jarring; they are playing with movement strategies suited for bots, so they might suddenly find themselves in a 2v3 or 1v3 situation.) Conversely, for beginners, getting instantly eliminated by a real player while trying to learn the game against bots is incredibly frustrating. (After all, the current bots are already formidable enough for a total novice.) As a dedicated player, this decision feels like a cheap attempt to cut server costs at the expense of player enjoyment. (Such unpleasant experiences directly discourage in-game spending. Seriously—I paid a full $100 for Crypto.😅) If you want to maintain a healthy player base and encourage more engagement, you need to respect the game modes players choose. Please revise the specifications to make Bot Royale a strictly "100% PvE" experience, with absolutely no real players mixed in. edit: Due to translation issues, the wording inadvertently suggested a scenario where "humans are mixed in at a rate of 5–15%," whereas the actual intent was that "there is a 5–15% probability of an additional human unit being included."
