Get rid of the bots
The bots aren't helpful at all and are distracting when trying to distinguish them from real players in chaotic situations. Every time I start shooting at a bot not knowing it's one, I get melted by a real player. I'd rather have a game of 10 vs 10 of real players instead of filled with bots. Not to mention, they're obviously easier to kill and can throw a whole game off.
After finding a game, it stays on a black screen and returns to the main menu.
Hello everyone. Many Battlefield 2042 players have been experiencing a black screen error after finding a game mode, resulting in being redirected back to the main screen, for a full month now. This error occurred in Conquest and Control modes. A few friends and I were playing Team Deathmatch because it was the only mode where we didn't get this error. Now we can't even play that mode. You're a huge game company. You haven't been able to solve this problem for a month. What's your goal? Do you want to discourage players from playing this game and force them to buy the latest Battlefield game, or do you want them to switch to Call of Duty? You're a big company, act like one and solve this problem. By the way, I should also mention that there were online issues in FC26 until two weeks ago. I think the problem is with the EA servers. Because my friends and I are connecting to your game from Türkiye. But when I checked the forum topics, this problem exists in countries like Germany and Canada as well. That leaves two options here. Either there's a problem with your servers or there's a problem with the EA app.
Is there any way i could reset my account?
Progression is fun, and i know there is not going to be any atemps in inplementing any "Prestige" to encourage people to do everything all again. so, any way i could like, ask someone in EA to do a acount reset? (i have killed so many bots, my name is full of shame)

[BF2042][Official Conquest] Received a magazine as in BF Hardline
It was an awesome surprise to me: On Casipan Border Conquest, while reloading my M16A3 with PB Heavy Suppressor attached, my Blasco received a magazine as in BF Hardline. Look as someone was throwing a mag to me, i catched it and reloaded the weapon. Sadly this surprisingly event was too quick to take a screenshot. Great stuff. Please add (and please re-add) more QoL into BF2042 :)
Breakthrough Chaos... Was good. Latest adaptation, No.
First let me say I can play well with whatever circumstances there are to deal with but I play with a lot of people who party with me for the assists I make with my squad and team. I play 96% breakthrough and make moderate kills, go suicidal to revive my squad and place t-ugs, insertion beacon and spawn beacons down as often as possible where most crucial as a Recon so my team can use the minimap. I play point guard and don't need a triple double to be happy, just assists. Breakthrough chaos has been awesome in the past with faster move speeds, some occasionally vehicle allowances per map, faster respawn times and so on. This newest adaptation however nerfs recon specialists massively. No proxy sensors, no T-ugs. Recon is left with spotting actively with Casper drone and Paik also active emg scanner which is minimal and puts Paik on the enemies minimap. Blasco's insertion beacon can be used but is paired well with a t-ugs in near vicinity for passive assists when kills are made by team within the disruption area. Every class has a clear and obvious ability that used right benefits the entire team, not just squad or themselves (talking to you medics who sniper with ammo packs all for yourself). Recon, aside from the sniper stability which is easily worked around by binding breath with aim down sight, is effective by providing the team with a populated minimap and has sensors specifically for this. I don't care for kills, or at least having the most. I are about supporting my usual party members or making things better for newer/non friend players while i play point guard and spot the map and drop spawn beacons where most effective while i get some kills and revives along the way. I cannot do this nearly as effectively especially at such fast paced movement and action while most still have all their abilities/gadgets. I can adapt if this was a permanent change but I see no reason why those who play a true recon has to be so limited while Rams zoom around blowing up half the sector before most can even respawn or even know what happened. If you're gonna nerf spotting gadgets and expect teams to play balanced on some maps with limited vehicle choices as defenders/attackers in first sector of maps, maybe eliminate vehicles as well. Or eliminate explosives or rockets for assault and limit to engineer. Do something more balanced. EA, Dice, Whoever, please take everything into account when a modified mode is made. I currently cant play a normal breakthrough where I am best assisting the team because everyone is on chaos who are perfectly happy as sniping medics and crawfords miniguns everywhere and 10 dozen Sundances and her stupid scatter grenades which if anything needs to be nerfed as all hell in the game.
BF2042 Summary
BF2042 will go down as my least favorite Battlefield game. Despite that, I still had fun with it. The maps were cool and interesting (climate change theme, ship demolition, rockets...) but they lacked the war ambiance. Having Conquest/Rush of Ages in Portal was an awesome revisit to past games. Unlike BF1 and BFV, this one will be permanently uninstalled from my console. Good bye BF2042 and hello BF6!Bring Back Small Conquest 64 Mode
Hello EA and Battlefield team, I would like to request the return of the Small Conquest 64 mode in Battlefield 2042. It was one of the best modes for players who prefer faster matches, more infantry-focused combat, and less vehicle dominance. The pacing felt better and the maps worked great in a smaller scale format. Many players enjoyed this mode, and bringing it back (even as a permanent or rotating option) would be amazing for the community. Please consider adding Small Conquest 64 back to the official playlist. Thank you.Heartbeat sound when downed - a way to remove it?
I know it’s an irrational idea but hearing the heartbeat sound makes me extremely anxious and i couldn’t find any way to remove it. I really want to play the game but I had to uninstall it and request a refund due to just that noise. Is there a way to modify the sound file so it’s silent instead? Im playing Battlefield 2042 a while and i after the release of Battlefield6 i stayed with 2042.But im really bad at Multiplayer so im most of the time in coop,but it is not possibile to get your weapons to T1.So i would find it cool if you could level your weapons and Vehicle and Gadget in coop and first this decision would likely bring back some Players and some Players (me to) would make it happy. So please make it possibile.
Did anyone at DICE actually test Conquest matchmaking in 2025?
Weapon and specialist progression in Battlefield 2042 is fine up to Tier 3 because it can be done against bots. After that, you are forced into PvP matchmaking. The problem is that matchmaking barely works anymore. Not only Conquest, but even Breakthrough often fails to start. You wait for a long time, a few players join, then leave, and the lobby dies again. It genuinely feels like the minimum player requirement is being kept artificially high to reduce server usage in an already low-population game. Why can’t matches start with as few as two players, the same way bot matches work? People who don’t want to wait would actually get into games faster, and those who stay would at least be able to play instead of staring at a matchmaking screen. At this point, preventing people from playing the game they already own feels more damaging than any balance concern. I really hope this isn’t another case of quietly pulling the plug on a dying player base. It may already be late — but actively restricting matchmaking is not how you keep what little life this game still has.battlefield 2042 playlists
I was just wondering not sure why they don't already other than possibly competitive boosting can we get rush as an al time playlist its pretty rare that its available ppl in the portal browser only play against bots there's never really any servers hosting rush game modes.
We need new players , make game free to play for this christmas.
With many major multiplayer titles going free-to-play during the holiday season, this Christmas feels like the perfect opportunity for Battlefield 2042 to do the same. Making the game F2P—even temporarily—would bring in a huge wave of new players, help populate servers across all regions, and give the game a second life when player numbers are clearly struggling. The core gameplay has improved a lot since launch, and a free-to-play period would allow new players to experience that firsthand, rebuild the community, and potentially convert them into long-term players through cosmetics and future content. The peak player count goes to 2500-3000 only , which is a shame for a game franchise like battlefield , please make it free to play for this christmas , so it can boost player count.
