Will My Progress Transfer from EA Play (Xbox Game Pass) to Steam?
Hi everyone, I currently have Battlefield V through EA Play via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but I’m planning to cancel my subscription. Instead, I’m considering buying the Definitive Edition of Battlefield V on Steam. Will my progress, unlocks, and cosmetics carry over if I purchase the Steam version, as long as I connect it to the same EA account I’m currently using? From what I understand, progress is tied to the EA account rather than the platform, but I’d like some clarification before making the purchase. Is this assumption correct? Do I need to take any extra steps to make sure everything transfers smoothly? Thanks in advance for any help, I just want to make sure I don’t lose all my progress when switching from EA Play to Steam!Agent_Dumm23 hours agoRising Newcomer13Views0likes1CommentBattlefield 5 Slow Startup and Long Loading Time
Update (Edited: 06-08-2025): Even BF6's open beta loads fine on the same PC—just 50 seconds from clicking "Play" to reaching the main menu. Update (Edited: 30-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. Original Post: For EA Staff & Devs Bug Report ID: 6ad91d36-9f32-4e49-98f0-e1c42c510896 Help Case ID: #215668482 I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my Omen 16 laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Ran both the EA App and BF5 with administrator privilege and in clean boot mode. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date. Performed a reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; cleared DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" in-place upgrade. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. For reference (especially if any DICE developers are reading this), here’s the BIOS and Windows update I installed, not sure which is causing the trouble: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/model/2101129710/swItemId/ob-348379-1 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/june-26-2025-kb5060829-os-build-26100-4484-preview-e31ba7c2-ff65-4863-a462-a66e30840b1a I’ve also attached my DxDiag file to this post in case it’s helpful.OJSU2 days agoRising Novice604Views1like2CommentsEA App : "You don't have Access" Battlefield V on Steam
Hi, I have a question about Battlefield V. I just bought it on Steam two days ago. After downloading it, I can't play the game because the EA app says "You don't have access," even though my Steam and EA accounts are clearly linked. I've tried several tutorials on YouTube and methods my friends have given me, but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me? I'm really stuck on this.26Views0likes0CommentsBATTLEFİELD 5 online problems

hello, i bought a ps5 recently after not having used a console in several years and it wont let me play online, Ive reset the password but when I try to link my account to the psn its linked to an email address that shows its a disabled account. i have reached out to support but cant get ahold of anyone, I cant find a chat bot option and now i'm stuck with a new console and games i cant play. i just paid for a year of PSN so i dont want to have to make a new PSN account as it would be a waste of money and would mean having to re buy the games. i think it may be linked to an old email from highschool back in the battlefield 4 days but i would have lost that email years ago. ive sent the emails, tried to find the chatbot but every link brings me to a 404 page. is there anything i can do??mapleman553 days agoSeasoned Newcomer52Views0likes8Comments"Battlefield V is no longer downloadable or playable through the EA app"
This is the error I'm getting when trying to launch the game. When searching for this exact error I literally get only one result, the advice there unfortunately didn't help. Tried clearing cache (app recovery), restarting app/EA services, repairing game files, launching directly from the .exe but alas. Any ideas? I bought the game (again) recently because of the sale - I already owned standard edition, bought premium. I can run BF1 just fine.TheWaltt3 days agoRising Newcomer63Views0likes1CommentDefinitive edition upgrade not working

As the title says, every battlefield game is crashing on startup. I just installed them, so deleting settings folder doesn't help, reinstalling drivers either. After launch, I only have this screen and then immediately crash.NordoNyle5 days agoSeasoned Newcomer204Views1like10Comments- 21Views0likes1Comment

Dear EA Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report an issue in Battlefield 5 where a contact (such as a friend or squadmate) is missing from my in-game contact list or friends list. Despite multiple attempts to refresh and restart the game, the contact does not appear, and I am unable to interact or team up with them in multiplayer modes. Could you please assist me in resolving this missing contact issue? If there is any information you need from my side (such as Origin ID, platform, or screenshots), I will be happy to provide it. Thank you very much for your support and quick response. Best regards, SadeceGezegenSadeceGezegen8 days agoSeasoned Newcomer38Views0likes1CommentBattlefield V crashing when I load into a match
