Hey College Football 26 Dynasty fans! Our teams are having a great time reading the stories and moments you’re sharing when playing Dynasty. We’ll have more updates on the way, but for today Dynasty has received several updates following our server maintenance earlier today. Please note that these changes take effect for online Dynasty files only and yes, these will work in already created Dynasty files. We will have a future Title Update to bring these updates to offline Dynasty files, just sit tight! Skill Caps & Position Changes Updates You can now change a player's position within their current position group without penalty to their skill caps. You’ll be free to swap positions within these groupings: Running Back (RB, FB) Offensive Line (LT, LG, C, RG, RT) Defensive Line (LEDG, REDG, DT) Linebacker (SAM, MIKE, WILL) Defensive Back (CB, FS, SS) Specialist (K, P) Athlete (ATH) Recruits can now set their initial position without impact to their skill group caps. A player’s new skill caps are now more strongly influenced by their Development Trait and school year. Younger players and those with higher Development Traits will have higher skill caps at their new position. Additional Updates Addressed a Coach Point exploit when retiring and then creating a new coach character. Reduced the impact of the Reach Your Potential ability (Motivator Tier 1) for better coach ability and recruiting balance. Note: This affects the influence given to recruits when a player at their position hits a skill group cap. As a reminder, we will have more Dynasty updates coming in future Title Updates!EA_BlitzPlace College Football 26 DynastyCollege Football 26 DynastyEA American Football Team22KViews10likes0CommentsCollege Football 26 Launch & Updates
Hey College Football 26 fans! Finally everyone gets to enjoy our labor of love. We’re reading a ton of feedback, checking into streams, and watching your content. You might even see us drop some codes in streams over the weekend! We're here to share some info around some of the gameplay discussions we’re seeing so far. This may not be every little thing, but stick with us - there’s a lot of people playing the game now! First up, kicking some field goals! We have seen some players encounter a rare issue with being unable to kick a field goal. We have confirmed this rare issue only happens if your kicker is left-footed and if the kick was going to be blocked. We’ll get this one addressed for you in a future Title Update. Next up, we’re seeing conversation around two specific gameplay topics: stiff arms being overly effective and pass protection. As the game just hit worldwide launch for a ton of players, we are currently gathering more data on effectiveness of the stiff arm. We always want ball carrier moves to be fun and effective and for the stiff arm in particular, you can always flick the right stick down to counter with a “Cut Stick” which takes out the ball carrier's legs. While we see the sweet highlights and conversation - in the background we’re gathering the data, but there is a built-in counter to the stiff arm, so try that out for us. Head into practice mode and hit one hundred cut sticks before bed! Pass protection received a major overhaul in College Football 26 and we wanted to focus on a few key reminders about how our pass pro now works: Authenticity: All pass plays now come set up with unique pass protections on a per play basis. If you’re calling plays and feeling like your line is sliding to a side without you doing any inputs, that is intended. That is how pass protection would be set by default for that specific play call. Lets roll through some examples: Under Center: Set to base protection by default. Gun: ‘Empty’ protection if all pass eligible targets are out on a route. HB on a Check & Release: Default is set to half-slide away from HB PA Pass: Half-slide away from play fake Responsiveness: Protection on the Fly Protection on the Fly lets you quickly set your pass pro with a flick of the right-stick. Flick left once for a half-slide left and double flick left for a full slide. Control: Un-Target Defender With our pass protection mechanics, you can also just flick up on the right-stick to un-target a defender. Why would you ever do this? It’ll allow you to strategically leave a defender unblocked that’s optimal for your play call vs the formation front. Maybe you’re playing against another user and they’re mugging the gap or maybe you find a gnarly screen play and don’t want your line to chip a specific player. After all, you are the shot caller of your pass protection scheme. So lets say you call Z Spot out of Gun Doubles Y Off. This is a 2x2 formation with the HB on a swing route. By default, your protection is set to ‘Empty’ - even if you block your HB, your pass protection is still set to ‘Empty’, so you'll potentially want to think about making an additional adjustment with your pass protection depending on the defensive look or flow of the game. Of course you can always call a play, pull up the pass protection (L1/LB) and then set the protection to base protection - which may be what you’re used to if you played last year, that was primarily our default protection. Y’all know ball, we trust you. Just be sure to check your pass pro for us via Coach Cam (R2/RT) before snapping the ball. One last thing since we mentioned snapping the ball. We’re seeing some players encounter a rare issue where they are unable to snap the ball occasionally. We have investigated this issue and are working to address it as soon as possible. In our investigation, you can hit this rare issue when you’re at the line of scrimmage and hit RT/R2 + Up on the right-stick and then release them both simultaneously. If you happen to hit this, we are seeing a successful workaround with repeatedly pressing B/Circle several times or attempting another Pass Protection adjustment with LB/L1. This one is for sure on our radar and is a top priority to address. As mentioned earlier, this isn’t everything we are tracking just some of the key gameplay topics. Keep playing, keep enjoying, and keep sharing with us. Thank you all for being incredibly passionate about our game and the wonderful world of college football!EA_BlitzPlace College Football 26 General DiscussionCollege Football 26 General DiscussionEA American Football Team11KViews8likes0CommentsTeambuilder site is down

So I have a RB on my team with a dealbreaker of playing style saying I have F when he is not only the most used player on my offense he is leading the heisman race. You need to take a look at what constitutes a playing style dealbreaker when he is being used as both a runner and receiver every game.2KViews5likes9CommentsProgression of players are not happening
I just finished my 3rd dynasty game & am in the 4th week. I have my game set on manual progression with a 25% penalty, I went to "view rosters" & clicked on 20 plus players & every single one have zero points to progress them. So as far as I am concerned, they are not progressing at all & are not getting points. This is a HUGE deal. You are not able to use dynasty mode like this. None of your players would ever progress. My friend & I are both running offline dynasties to see if we see major bugs before we start an online Dynasty before we play against each other. My friend in his dynasty is experiencing the same issue & he had his set to automatic progression. So it is happening whether you manually or automatically progress your players. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? This is a biggie!!! Playstation 5 Spill_R_tm Dynasty mode. All other information is above. No screen shots because there is nothing to screen shot other than a bunch of players with zero coins to progress themselves. I can take a game screenshot if you need me to but it's pretty self explanatory.1.6KViews4likes13CommentsCollege Football 26 - Dynasty & Team Builder Deep Dive
Welcome Back to the Campus Huddle, your home for news and information about EA SPORTS™ College Football 26! We know you have been awaiting more information about the fan favorite Dynasty Mode and that time is now here! Before we get started with the Campus Huddle, let's hear from Kirk Herbstreit for a video deep dive on Dynasty Mode. BUILDING ON THE FOUNDATION When we set out to design College Football 25, we had a multi-year vision for what we wanted Dynasty Mode to become. That journey began by laying the foundation under three core pillars: Build Your Coach, Build Your Program, and Deliver the World of College Football. Build Your Coach: This encompasses the decisions you make on your coaching journey to the top of the college football world. Whether that’s starting as a coordinator at a small school and making a name for yourself before getting that first head coaching job, or starting as a head coach at your dream school. Every decision you make on your journey matters. Build Your Program: As the old saying goes, “to win in College Football it’s not the X’s and the O’s, it’s the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s”. Recruiting is the lifeblood of College Football and having a consistent winner means you need a roster that is built to reload rather than rebuild. That all starts on the high school recruiting trail, but in modern College Football roster retention and utilizing the Transfer Portal are instrumental in your ability to field a championship team. Deliver the World of College Football: The College Football landscape continues to evolve. In College Football 26, we’ve pushed to reflect the ever-changing reality of the sport, from custom conferences and scheduling to protected opponents and playoff structure. Whether you’re staying true to tradition or reshaping the map, the world of college football is yours to define. College Football 26 represents Year 2 of that vision — a year focused on building on the foundation we set and adding meaningful depth to each pillar. It’s about evolving Dynasty while staying true to what makes it special and delivering on the feedback we’ve heard from our incredibly passionate community. Just like last year, we spent countless hours talking with community members, college football experts, and coaches. We also spent a ton of time watching Dynasty live streams, program rebuilds, Wishlist videos, and of course reading thousands of message board posts and tweets. A large part of our research was focused not just on what is discussed, but how the mode is actually played and experienced by our community. Because as we said last year and still strongly believe today — our team has one singular motto: “Satisfy the Core Community” because “This is THEIR Game”. BUILD YOUR COACH At the heart of Dynasty Mode is your coach. Every decision, every upgrade, and every hire helps define your journey to the top of the college football world and the legacy you leave behind. Last year, we talked at length about what we learned from studying coaches in depth. No coach is great at everything, and there’s no single path to becoming a great coach. That belief continues to shape our approach in College Football 26, and remains central to everything we’ve built. This year, we’ve focused on deepening that experience, introducing more meaningful decision points and further emphasizing that every decision matters. CREATE YOUR COACH When starting your Dynasty, just like last year you’ll choose between creating your own coach or stepping into the role of an existing one. This year, existing coaches are now authentic real-life head coaches and coordinators, with more than 300 authentic coaches. Each one comes equipped with their authentic playbook, scheme, play calling tendencies, historical career stats, and archetypes and abilities that reflect their coaching skillset. Throughout your Dynasty, you will have the opportunity to compete against these authentic coaches in-game and on the recruiting trail. As described in the Gameplay Deep Dive, when you play them on Saturday’s, you can expect their playcalling and tendencies to match their real world counterpart, adding a new layer of immersion. Of course, you’ll also have the opportunity to poach them and bring them onto your staff in the Coaching Carousel. If you choose to build your own coach, we’ve added new ways to customize your appearance. New gear options let you show off your drip and deck your coach out in everything from a hoodie and joggers to a quarter zip and jeans. If you’re really feeling nicey, you can grace the sidelines with a sleeveless shirt and shorts that lets everyone know you mean business. We’ve also introduced coach demeanor and stance customization. Is your coach cool, calm, and collected? Or are they the high-energy, emotionally charged leader that fires up the sideline? Your choice will influence how your coach stands and acts throughout the game giving your coaching persona even more personality on the field. COACH PROGRESSION From the beginning, our design intent for our RPG archetype based abilities and progression system has been that no coach can be great at everything. How you build your coach and manage your staff matters. Your coordinators either complement your strengths or shore up your deficiencies. This intent still holds true in College Football 26 and we have continued to expand upon it. Last year, we saw players hitting the level cap too early — maxing out progression well before the later years of their Dynasty, which was not what we intended. While we still believe you cannot be great at everything, your coaching journey should evolve over time, with new decisions and challenges emerging each season. In College Football 26, the maximum coach level has been increased from 50 to 100. Additionally, we’ve completely rebalanced the amount of XP each goal earns to better reflect its frequency and difficulty. We’ve also introduced a new level progression curve designed to provide early momentum while creating a much longer tail of growth. You’ll still see meaningful development in the early years, but reaching the top now requires sustained success across the full arc of your coaching career. I just noticed this but DO NOT CHANGE ANY PLAYERS POSITION AFTER THE SEASON. I had transferred a 5 star elite LEDG to REDG and they went from zero skill caps to so many skill caps like I basically recruited a 3 star normal rate player. Thanks a lot EA. This needs to be fixed ASAPwith fixing all previous position transfers. I don’t know how you would do it but give us a break. The game is not enjoyable at all in its current state. Ball snap issue even though there is a work around in most cases with OL options, can’t change existing player numbers, can’t do in season position changes, post season position changes screw up the player progression for worse, dealbreaker for playing style is way off, playing time deal breaker is way too strict for recruiting new players, can’t do free practice in dynasty with multiple users so can’t try out playbooks and make favorite plays, I don’t care about this as much but my son is young and plays on freshman to learn and he said he misses that the edge rushers were able to not go off sides in 2025 but now they do, I don’t know about that one being a big problem for most players but he wants me to bring it up because that’s a feature he wants turned on. Just seems like EA didn’t pay at all for beta testing and letting pre orders do all the heavy lifting. I will have to go back to 2025 because if you can’t change player positions without this huge penalty it’s not worth it. I screwed up about 25-30 players skill caps after the season as I switched a ton of new recruits and existing players and the whole first year was a waste.1.5KViews12likes10CommentsAdaptive AI
Another year, another game with mysterious settings that no one knows what they mean. What the hell does the coach type selection in the adaptive AI section do? Why is this all a guessing game? It's a lazy product. This can probably be explained by the distributor in one paragraph. Come on EA. Do the basic thing and have someone draft an owners manual. Content creators are putting up videos and guessing.1.4KViews3likes2CommentsActual Depth Charts/Rosters
How does EA Sports CFB 26 obtain there rosters? They have players in the rosters who are not on the team anymore, taking spots for those who are in the depth chart. This is a big deal for those players left off as they aren’t able to get the $1,600 and copy of the game. Also, they’d love to see their names in the jersey on a video game.1.4KViews1like1CommentCustom Playbooks Not Working
When creating a custom playbook, the "Coach Suggestions" section in-game always present the same pool of plays, regardless of your star ratings/selections in the "My Gameplan" section in the custom playbook menu. Obviously, spending lots of time on creating a custom playbook with unique ratings for the coach suggestions, and then for it not to work is quite frustrating. Let me know if I can provide any more details! I've tried raising and lowering the adjustments, even going as far as having several plays at "100" or "5 stars" and the same 15 plays appear for each situation (1st down, 2 & long, etc.).,1.2KViews21likes19CommentsCollege football 26 issues
I would like to start by saying I am very pissed at this game. I wanted it to be everything ea marketed it as but it’s just not. There were some quality of life improvements and some graphic improvements but that’s where the positives of this game stops. The gameplay is extremely buggy and feels extremely numb. The CPU difficulty is OP and broken to say the least. You can have the best roster playing against the worst team in the country and still loose because the cpu is just that good at knowing everything you are doing and knows perfectly how to stop it. Blocking, tackling, and playing any sort of defense is garbage. Great offensive lineman are getting beat by sub par defensive ends to get straight to the running back/quarterback on nearly every play which is just really unrealistic. Tackling and playing the pass is so numb it makes me want to quit playing the game. The short version is that ea’s frostbite gameplay engine they used in this game need to be thrown out and replaced with something that actually works. Content creators get flawless gameplay while normal people get a really crappy game. I have been playing this game for about 3 to 4 days now and it has left me pissed beyond belief. Currently I have been experiencing a lot of gameplay crashes where I will be trying to kick a field goal and as soon as I initiate the kick nothing happens except the whole team just starts attacking each other and bugs out to where I have to restart the game. All in all very very disappointed in the game and pissed that ea has taken about 10 steps backwards in a game that was supposed to be so much better than last year. EA please do better!1.1KViews5likes6Comments
