Esports Plans? Bug Report Permission? WRC Ending?
Hello EA SPORTS WRC Team and Community, I would like to share some thoughts, feedback, and questions — some about WRC, and one about F1 Esports. Please read carefully. 1. Will There Be Any Esports in EA SPORTS WRC? I bought this game hoping to compete in an esports challenge because I feel much more confident in this game compared to the F1 series. However, nothing official was ever announced. Can someone confirm whether an esports tournament was ever planned or if it was canceled because of unresolved corner-cutting exploits and anti-cheat issues? It would be great to know whether there’s still hope or not. Please let us know if the idea was scrapped or is still in progress. 2. May I Submit a Bug Report in Video Format for Time Trial Mode? I found a bug in Time Trial which I explained long ago in a written forum post, but it seems it wasn’t understood. I believe it needs to be shown via a gameplay recording. Can I upload or link a video here in the forum to make sure the devs can finally understand what’s happening? Or would that be pointless now, since you announced that development is ending — though you didn’t mention exactly when it stops, so maybe there’s still time to fix a few things? 3. One F1 Esports Question (Sorry if Off-topic): I know this is the WRC forum, but my question is about the qualification process in the F1 Esports Series. The official qualification results only go up to F1 2023: https://f1esports.com/qualification/results/2023 And the latest video guide is from 2022: https://f1esports.com/qualification Yet new drivers appeared in F1 2024 and even F1 2025 seasons: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One_Esports_Series How did these people qualify in F1 2023 and F1 2024 when there was no visible Esports mode in the game like before, where you had to complete a scenario and appear on the leaderboard? Was the process hidden or done internally? 4. Sad News About WRC Development Ending – Please Reconsider I was disappointed to hear that EA and Codemasters will no longer develop EA SPORTS WRC. Honestly, I think you are making a mistake. Here’s my guess why you stopped: I noticed that in some Time Trial Stages, there are only 6.000 to 15.000 leaderboard entries. Compare that to F1 games Time Trial Tracks, which often have 100.000 to 500.000 entries. So maybe the game didn’t sell well, and you didn’t make enough from DLCs either. But this game had huge potential. It is the most complete rally game I’ve ever seen—so many rally cars, stages, and surfaces. I still don’t have time to try them all. It’s sad that such quality is being dropped while other titles with much less effort continue yearly. That being said, let’s talk honestly about the pricing. The base game launched at 60 euros, even though it was broken at launch—frequent crashes, stuttering, and even an anti-cheat conflict that made it unplayable for 3 months. And on top of that, you added four separate DLCs, each costing 20 to 30 euros. Sorry to say this, but that’s greedy behavior. Asking 60 plus 100 euros for a game that didn’t even work properly at first? That’s unacceptable. You lost player trust because of this — not just because of bugs, but because you treated your audience like walking wallets. 5. Final Words – WRC vs F1 Game Quality WRC is a model for how a serious game should be developed. You kept one platform, added meaningful content, and built a long-term experience. Despite early issues, it evolved into a polished product. This is exactly the kind of long-term, player-focused development that earns trust. By contrast, the F1 series feels stuck in a yearly outdated money-printing cycle — rushed releases, recurring bugs, minimal innovation, and inflated pricing. Many fans accuse the devs of copy-pasting features, and I agree. There’s a clear lack of responsibility for quality, especially when players are asked to pay 60 euros for a product that sometimes doesn’t even function properly at launch. On top of that, just like in WRC, the F1 games also include multiple expensive DLCs, adding even more costs for players. This kind of pricing strategy feels greedy and exploitative, especially when the base experience is already unstable. I strongly believe the F1 series should follow the WRC model: - Stop releasing a new game every year - Keep one base platform and simply update it with new cars, driver lineups, and features - Don’t remake laser-scanned tracks annually — it makes no sense This is the approach that games like WRC and Counter-Strike 2 have taken. They evolve, improve, and actually listen to their communities. That’s why CS2 never releases annually — it doesn't need to. Its value grows over time instead of being reset every year, and that is why it succeeds. WRC was close to achieving that same standard. Please don’t throw away such a solid foundation. I sincerely ask that you reconsider your decision to end development. Thank you for your time. I hope someone from the team reads this and takes it seriously. All the best in the future

Is this the end? No more WRC?
https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-wrc/wrc-24/news/wrc-development-update Says WRC development has been paused. Reading between the lines and EA loves to cancel games. Sounds to me as development on any new games has been cancelled. Was my first Rally game and love it. But what is concerning as EA have announced more layoffs across its studios. I'm worried for the guys at codemasters. If F1 flops this year I'm more worried for Codemasters as a studio. Been playing Codemasters games for 30+ years and one of my all time favourite studios. Be gutted if EA closes them down. Just want to thank the team for developing a game that I've had a awesome time playing and will play for hundreds more hours. ❤️

EA Play content released for all
Dear E.A. Seeing as you have discontinued support for this game can you please release the locked-out content for everyone? The EA play content specifically. Just wanted to add that although sales were not as expected, over time this will be rectified as more players come to the party. It really is a shame a game developing company with such a deep history in the industry has been treated like this, Codemasters deserve much better!

Tires problem on Long Events
The last time I wrote about a car repair problem, EA fixed the bug, I hope it will be similar this time 😇 I run a league in CLUB, which consists of several stages during the Rally (sometimes for 30-40 drivers) . Often it is 14-20 stages. We are struggling with the problem of tires, having two sets of tires (soft and medium) for the entire rally. It is impossible to get finish event. I am asking you to really solve this problem, either add more tires, or add them in relation to the number of km per event, or allow the admin to choose the number of available tires. 😇 Fingers crossed🤓

Help Regarding Stutters
After installing a new driver, deleting the "saved" files folder and updating the DLSS .dll I got the game to run using the in-game VSYNC, still having to go through the "basic graphics menu" sometimes though... Then I went through a lot of locations where it would stutter to a point where it would mess up my timing, (specially annoying on big stages) and fine tuned the settings to be able to just get in and do some rallying... finally. Most of them cleared up after a run, or tonned down to a minor hitch at worst. BUT now I stumbled on a specific location on Rally Mediterraneo, on the Capannace stage... Where it has a massive 2-3sec stutter mess no matter what I did. Tried all, vsync off, framecaps, fullscreen, borderless, all upscallers, DLDSR, all combinations of settings, AF off, on, even 720p locked at 30 the da**ed place would still stutter. If anybody could try it to see if they can replicate it so I at least know the problem is not on my end I would really appreciate it!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcyHHYzestE It's the section at around 6:04 right on that right 3, facing the ravine WHILE HAVING HEADLIGHTS ON. Time doesn't seem to matter. But it is worse at sunset... Obs.: The video is not mine, it's just the stage I mentioned. Can someone please check?

Rally school. Unexpected car reset on snow stages
That in the title. Platform: Xbox Series S Language: Spanish Location: Argentina Version: 2.3.109.3358 When you play snow stages on the rally school the car automatically resets as if you pressed the digital down button. That happens on several snow stages, in some, like the first one, it happens right after you cross the start line. But this prevents you from completing rally school due to penalties and loss of momentum.

Newest patch completely broke VR (not exaggeratin, it's now actually unplayable)
This newest update completely broke VR. It wasn't great before, but it was at least playable prior to the update, but now everything is completely misaligned and weirdly warped on my right eye. The left still works as it should. WTF man? Did no one playtest this update? VR is now quite litterally unplayable... This needs an immediate fix. Edit* I use the original HTC Vive

Just after starting the stage there is a reset penalty of +5 seconds imposed, same place as in earlier lesson on snow.

Peripheral inputs not registering.
My wheel is recognized by the game, but none of my button presses are being recognized. No issues with any other sims. Thankful for any insights. I have even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. This is also happening with my shifter and handbrake.

NATIVE OPENXR SUPPORT
Good day E.A. It has been some time since my last unanswered question, among many others, who are getting an E.A unanswers for this particular question. Would you please take 5 seconds out of your busy schedule to confirm whether there will be native support for openXR hmds? This question has been circulating since the game was released. I have no idea why you blocked the openxr.dll, though whatever the reason it will never be good enough for those with openxr hmds. At the very least put us out of our misery! Please upvote this thread, maybe then it will get some well-deserved attention. Your truly in good faith. Concerned openxr hmd consumer....

Strange VR frame rate behaviour
Just posted to the reddit as well but figure its a big enough bug to post here too: I have micro stutters and performance issues at 90hz on VR headset that aren't there at 120hz. There are no changes to the graphics levels (medium) between framerates and I'm using reprojection. There are stutters at 90hz and its butter smooth at 120hz. I'd like to bump the graphics up and run at 90hz if the stutters are fixed. I've found that if I slow down during the stage to a stop then the micro stutters disappear for the rest of the level. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this or experience this before? Computer - i7 10700k, RTX 4070, 96GB ddr4, Quest 3 (Virtual Desktop - VDXR, Ultra, H264+, Wifi 6, ASW), Game has DLSS swapped and 'Auto' select on.

Xbox Series Consoles Screen Tearing and FPS Problems
Hello I've been playing wrc 24 lately and I'm enjoying a lot but on my series x there is visible screen tearing and game doesn't feel as solid 60 fps especially in crowd ares. Could you please fix screen tearing issue? I already tried VRR off but still there is some screen tearing on gameplay.

Gutted about the recent news but as a final request could we please have all the liveries from the seasons unlocked. For the first few seasons I only managed to get to level 13 or 14 and missing some of the nice car designs. If it's too much to just unlock them could they just be added back into the current season so they can be earned ?

Cannot connect to EA
Since the last DLC Update I can't connect to EA. When I start the game Iit says "Connecting to EA" but nothing happens and the login dialog is not shown. The only thing I can do is to skip the access and play offline. I'm running on PC-Steam. After discussing this issue on the EA WRC official channel it seems that I'm not the only one having this issue. Thank you for your attention.
