From Madden 17 to Madden 26: 10 Years of Missed Potential
Dear EA Sports Development Team, We, the Madden community, have played through many iterations of Madden football, and we truly appreciated the Ignite engine’s balance of realism, user skill, and competitive gameplay especially in Madden 15, 16, and 17. When Madden transitioned to Frostbite, many of us noticed the gameplay quality declined despite the improved graphics. The new engine brought more scripted moments, animation delays, and gameplay inconsistencies that compromised player skill and enjoyment. We urge you to reconsider the future direction of Madden and either return to or build upon the Ignite engine’s core strengths focusing on gameplay fluidity, responsive controls, and fair AI—rather than prioritizing visual fidelity at the expense of the game’s soul. Please listen to your community and bring back the Madden we know and love.bandzdag12 hours agoRising Novice4Views0likes0CommentsExtremely Broken Transfer Portal!!
I've tried my hardest to play this game either by searching for sliders and what not but seriously this game is soooooooooo bad right now and is an embarrassment to college football as a whole, EA should be ashamed honestly. I'm beginning my third season in Franchise mode at Georgia Tech (finished 9-4) in the off season about to recruit. I have my coached with the recruiter arch type and I have the "Portal King" trait for the following positions: QB, RB/FB, WR/TE, OL, DL, LB, CB/SS. With that being said, I go to the transfer portal to recruit and ONLY 36 PLAYERS ARE INTERESTED IN THE ENTIRE PORTAL. EVERY ELSE IS LOCKED OR WE DON'T MEET THEIR DEAL BREAKER!!! How does this even happen lol? I could not believe what I was seeing and went through every position and only 1 person is interested in coming to our school. This is completely embarrassing EA and the logic system you guys are using is completely illogical and makes no sense. I never saw this in the previous College Football game and you guys are absolutely killing the emersion of this game a year after the much anticipated College Football game. This is horrible and no way shape of form a representation even close to what college football is! This is a huge step back from last years game. Definitely will NOT be getting madden again this year after this underwhelming monstrosity of a game!kejohnson046 hours agoRising Newcomer11Views0likes0CommentsMadden 26 Official Launch Trailer

I think the rating in madden 26 are a little like are we sure? But I think madden should have a mutt draft for people who don’t have the online for madden so they can still do all the fun stuff to and kinda like cfb 26 they should add more postions for road to glory or whatever it’s called in madden 26.NFLPRO173 days agoNew Novice8Views0likes0CommentsTransparency of Madden Ratings Needed
I want to be positive, but these ratings really lack transparency and seriously are more based on getting people to talk about it on social media. That, or it's EXTREMELY legacy based. Take for instance Anthony Richardson. Sure he's a 72 and I can get with that, but there's data and a track record that he can throw a deep ball but struggles with short and intermediate throws. So why not give him a better deep ball rating and turn down his short and intermediate accuracy? Another call out is Jesse Bates. If you watch Falcons film last year, he's far from a 95 rating. With all the real-time data and 10 years of data they're mining for things, you'd think they'd incorporate more of that into player ratings. My only other gripe is that I feel there's wayyyyyyy too many 80+ rated players and that the rookie ratings really need to be scaled down a bit and leave room for progression. I'm eager to see if franchise is still broken where after the first year there's a laundry list of NFL players with 3+ years experience sitting in the free agency pool because the CPU logic doesn't think to sign them anymore. I feel like NBA 2k, at least in years past, really got the ratings dialed to where superstars felt so different than other role players and backups. Surely, there needs to be a progression where you can build a 68 rated guy into a superstar if your progression calls for it, but I feel the game would play so much better if they scaled some ratings down so it really felt monumental when you hit on a killer draft pick or got that 80+ rated player or 90+ rated player to sign with you in free agency. In the end, I do get these ratings are a marketing ploy for Madden to get people to talk about them, but it's really puzzling to see guys like Matthew Golden, who ran sub 4.3 at the combine, get 91 speed. If anything, he has more straight line speed than killer burst, so why not give him 95 speed with 93 acceleration?! Just would love more transparency in their rating decisions.youngtheryan4 days agoSeasoned Newcomer9Views0likes0CommentsMadden 25 weekly ratings updates wiped?
All of the Madden 25 weekly ratings updates at https://www.ea.com/games/madden-nfl/ratings are gone in favor of a pre-release version of the Madden 26 ones. This must've happened within the past few days, because I was using them exactly 4 days ago. All of the old weekly update URLs (whether it's by player or by week) just redirect to the new main page. Is there an archive of the Madden 25 weekly ratings or something? Or are they gone for good for basically no reason besides promoting the new game11Views0likes0Commentsco op game modes?
Hey everyone, am I able to play 2v2 or even a 4 vs ai yet online? I'd like to just pick normal teams with their normal rosters and be able to play with my friends online either in a 2v2 or 4 vs ai format. We haven't bought a madden since madden 20 due to this not being an option. So, the question is, is this something that's going to be available with madden 26? Thanks!TodaysKiller7 days agoRising Novice16Views0likes0CommentsPLEASE STOP RESETTING H2H RECORDS
I fear I may be too late. But I speak on behalf of every madden h2h player in the world. No one wants their record reset every month. This is the single worst decision in the history of Madden since the QB vision cone (shoutout Donavan Mcnabb) I am convinced this was some sort of mistake in 25' because surely EA could not be this out of touch with there own community or just reality as a whole. If I was a conspiracy theorist (I 100% am) I would think this is a diabolical way of getting h2h people to switch to MUT. Why else would MUT records never reset but online H2H does? For a second, put Madden aside for this thought exercise. Imagine if every time you played a game, regardless of your progression or achievements, your progress was reset in 30 days back to zero. If you are thinking to yourself 'that wouldn't make any sense' , welcome to the hell Madden h2h players have faced these last 365 days. We dont ask EA for anything. But just this once, think about all your fans, not just the ones that play MUT.ld2wlyo1gwrq8 days agoNew Novice29Views1like0CommentsClean Screen

I think they should add spectating in Madden 26 for different online game modes, especially Franchise. It would be a huge upgrade to watch your friends play each other in online franchise instead of waiting forever. They also should bring back dead leg jukes16Views0likes0CommentsHuge Issue With Cornerbacks in Franchise.
Cornerbacks, listed as “CB1” on the depth chart, line up on the right side of the field, meaning that AI superstar corners like Sauce Gardner and Patrick Surtain are covering the user’s number 2 WR. This makes the game really easy with your number 1 WR getting easy looks all game on the AI’s CB2, and is really a quiet and unrealistic thing that breaks immersion and makes the game less enjoyable. Please fix this or at least let the community know you are aware of the problem. It’s such a small issue that has a huge negative impact on gameplay.xZANYYx11 days agoRising Newcomer21Views0likes0CommentsGameplay Suggestion
Hey EA I just have one ask for the game coming up in August. Can you pls bring back the different type of aggressive and possession catch animations that game look realistic with like new cb/wr physics. I suggest to use what you guys have on madden old gen with wr/db physics as the animations for recievers on old gen madden look amazing and realistic and I am really hoping you guys could bring that to new gen please. As u realised this was missing in college football 26 and I think this could be big step and make madden levels better than college football 26 as It brings those star recievers like JJ and jamar chase to life so we can virtually replicate what they do in real life. And if you're not able implement this at launch pls do in an update for madden and hopefully college football 26 as wellijk6h37pu00t12 days agoRising Newcomer17Views1like0CommentsMadden NFL 26 Ultimate Team Deep Dive
Hey Madden Fans! Welcome back to Gridiron Notes, your home for Madden NFL 26 News and Updates straight from the developers. Today, we’re deep diving into Madden Ultimate Team. We are delivering a deeper, more rewarding experience, built around your feedback. Whether your focus is head-to-head or solo play, everything this year is built to reward your football IQ and creativity while keeping the experience smooth, fresh, and rewarding week after week. There are new ways to play and more reasons to build, so let’s dive in! More Programs. More Events. More Football. Our goal heading into Madden NFL 26 was simple: Deliver more and deliver better. We’re expanding both the volume of programs and the variety. Each major content drop will bring a new wave of Live Events, designed to push your strategic depth, stretch your lineup, and offer rewarding gameplay in both Solo and H2H formats. Every single major content drop will feature both a CPU and a H2H event, allowing you to choose your preferred path to play. Rewards are tailored to reinforce your team-building experience and tied to each event. With events delivered on a consistent cadence, something fresh is always available. KICKING OFF THE YEAR In Season 1, we’ll be kicking things off with a pair of events for our Preseason Standouts program: Long Drive. You will take on opponents in either H2H or CPU under special house rules. Following this up will be Campus Heroes with College OT for H2H players. Solo players can look forward to Campus Chaos, a unique twist on a Solo Season where you will play through four years of college (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior), each represented by 2 games serving as the semester. This culminates in a Graduation showdown against the Campus Heroes themselves. Our final program of Season 1, Game Time, will launch our first team building event of the year. For H2H players, you’ll take on an abbreviated 5 game H2H Season with the most lucrative rewards for those that can manage to string together multiple Super Bowl wins. For Solo gamers, you’ll take on a Game Time twist on our new Solo Champions mode, including a slugfest against the Game Time Champions. As the year goes on, we’ll be delivering a wide variety of events, some of which are making their very first appearance in Ultimate Team. For example, while the Trick-or-Treat CPU event will be returning for Most Feared, it will be coming with a new twist: randomized House progression, each with its own house rules and attribute modifiers. Zero Chill will be bringing the heat with a new MUT team building event, where your event rewards will directly feed into your progression in the event as you bolster an event-specific lineup. You can also expect throughout the year some unique squads opportunities, a new type of battlescore-driven CPU event, as well as the return of some events that have been missing for a while now, such as the “Race” house rules event. SEASONAL EVENT PASS To capture all of the event goodness coming out this year, we’re introducing the Seasonal Event Pass. Building on the Showtime Showdown event from last year, Events in Madden Ultimate Team 26 will contribute to their own dedicated field pass. This will provide more flexibility in rewards and a more cohesive event experience across the entire Season. For Solo Players, you’ll be excited to hear that the Event Pass has room for you too, with our lineup of Solo Events this year also contributing to the Seasonal Event pass. WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT PASS In addition to the Seasonal Event Pass, another new pass will also be joining the mix – the Weekly Spotlight pass. The Weekly Spotlight pass will showcase specific programming throughout the year in a shared field pass experience to provide more freedom for rewards and progression. As part of this, all weekly programs will now share a single token, providing greater flexibility and giving you more control over your rewards. We’ll be debuting the Weekly Spotlight Pass with Legends. For its first iteration it’ll feature Legends, Team of the Week, and Collector’s Series. Collector’s Series Collector’s Series is a new weekly program that will have a new theme (Series) each Season, each with its own distinct style. Additionally, each Series will have a unique Collection Champion: if you can manage to get your hands on all of the Champions for that series, you’ll be able to earn a special, more powerful, version of your choice of Champion from that series. Collector’s Series will be debuting with the Signature Series for Season 1. Solo Play Overhaul We heard your feedback about solo play in Ultimate Team and we made it a priority to design a deeper and more rewarding experience for our solo players. This year, solo play gets the overhaul it deserves. We’ve completely redesigned our Solo reward structure to better support progression, pacing, and meaningful rewards. Solo players can enjoy the full Ultimate Team experience - team building, progression, and challenges - without needing to play H2H against others. SOLO CHAMPIONS This year we're introducing Solo Champions: a 12-game weekly gauntlet of escalating difficulty. It will serve as the pinnacle experience for Solo Players, measuring where your current skills are at. To enter, you’ll be given an entry token every week, and can earn more by completing weekly objectives. Then, you’ll choose your difficulty and rack up battlescore to earn rewards. Build up your Ultimate Team, hone your skills, and work your way up to tackling the highest difficulty levels of Solo Champions. Can we please have CB1 match up against WR1..? I'm not sure why this has not been a thing for years. Why does the CB1 spot matchup on the left side of the defense (right side of screen), when the WR1 (X) typically ends up on the left side of the offense? Or, bring back the direct matchup, where you can assign a certain DB to a certain offensive player. As it stands, there are issues when you want to have your CB1 or CB2 be also work in the slot. Also, can the spell RB option come back as well? I miss that feature as a quick RB substitution option (might have only been in older NCAA).thebirman312 days agoSeasoned Newcomer13Views1like0CommentsOnline Franchise Co-Op
Dear Madden Development Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and confusion over the continued lack of online same-team franchise co-op in Madden. For years, my friends and I have wanted to play together on the same team in Franchise Mode online, each controlling our own created players, playing against the CPU in a season-long franchise. This feature is fully possible locally on the same console, but for some reason, it has never been implemented online, despite the clear demand and technological feasibility. There is no reason why this cannot be done. Many other sports games allow online cooperative play in franchise or career modes, and Madden’s continued omission of this feature feels like a fundamental misunderstanding of your fan base’s desires. I have been a loyal Madden player since the 1990s, but I have stopped purchasing Madden in recent years because of this missing feature and the general disconnect between the game and the community’s needs. It is frustrating to see incremental updates each year while critical, community-building features like online franchise co-op are ignored. Imagine the potential: Friends controlling themselves as QB, RB, WR, etc., on the same team online in Franchise Mode against CPU opponents. Creating and building stories with our players season after season, competing cooperatively rather than just head-to-head. Increasing engagement and long-term retention from groups of friends who want to enjoy Madden together without forced solo or adversarial play. It blows my mind that in 2025, Madden still does not allow this, and I am asking you to prioritize this feature for Madden NFL 26 and beyond. Until this feature is implemented, I refuse to purchase Madden again. I hope this feedback is taken seriously by your team, as it represents a real opportunity to reconnect with long-time Madden fans who want to enjoy your game with their friends in a meaningful, community-building way. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Disappointed, Lifelong Madden FanTommyGunz525813 days agoSeasoned Newcomer26Views1like0Comments
