I play Apex in EU and for the last couple of days the game has been very laggy and stuttery. Every 2-10 seconds I will get a little skip like the game is missing frames and suddenly I teleport forwards. My framerate is not showing any drops at all.I am connecting to EU data centers (belgium, frankfurt etc.) but the problem seems to persist across all of them. Some games are worse than others... occasionally when the stuttering is bad enough I will start to get the "prediction error" warning showing on screen, but often I am getting little freezes without that showing.I am running GTX1080ti with gsync... in firing range things are smooth. Everything is updated and I have tested my internet connection and am getting good consistent upload and dload speeds with no packet loss.On this page https://gameserverping.com/apex all the EU data centers are showing 30-40ms BUT they are prone to spiking every few refreshes and suddenly jump from 30ms to 100ms-200ms and then back down.Is there anything else I can do to try and fix this or diagnose it? It is getting really annoying and the game is mostly unplayable.

@kartikins Please let me know the cache works.Public dns is something you can set up on your pchere is googles public dns:https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dnsHere is Cloudflare's dns:https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setting-up-1.1.1.1/windows/There is multiply dns's you can try out.But this is just to verify if your ISP may have an issue.

@EzyHawk I will... I haven't had time to do it yet. Am going to try this evening. I am a little scared of messing about with my DNS settings, but I guess if nothing else works I can try.However I am still confused as to why this should suddenly start being a problem, I've played Apex on same PC with same ISP quite happily for months now.Thank you for the help. @kartikins I have DNS problem where my PC won't load a few webpages but my laptop/other pcs will.Sometimes it's a hardware related issue or just dns on your pc/router or IPS thst is messing.I don't know if this is the case here but might as well try?

Problems with stuttering/lag for last 48 hours in Europe.

Public dns is something you can set up on your pc
here is googles public dns:

Here is Cloudflare's dns:
https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setting-up-1.1.1.1/windows/

There is multiply dns's you can try out.
But this is just to verify if your ISP may have an issue.

Tbh I didn't think DNS had anything to do with the type of direct server connection used for online gaming... I thought it was only relevant for viewing web pages on named domains. I had one time when my DNS was completely broken and I couldn't view webpages, but I could still game online on Steam with no problems.

@EzyHawk So I tried all the changes you recommended... I thought it had worked cos last night and this afternoon I didn't seem to be getting any stuttering. However this even the problem has started again... constant stuttering and freezing, and when is really bad am getting prediction error sign in top right. I have no idea what to do now.

@kartikins Remove the dns and try without it.
or try another DNS.

However it feels its your network that has the issue so i would do the following

1: Verify router got all drivers
2: Factory reset router
3: Call your ISP to investigate sincw the issue seem to be from there end knowing DNS solved yourbissue yesterday.

@EzyHawk Actually the DNS was the one thing I didn't change the first time... I only tried that this evening after cleaning the cache didn't fix the problem. I'll have to reset the router completely tomorrow I guess... my ISP won't do anything, especially as I can't exactly identify what the problem is. I'll have to see if there is some way I can monitor the data transfer between my PC and the server to see if ping is spiking or getting packet loss or something.
