Re: 0x887A0006-DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Hey!
My buddy is having the same issue just as often as some others here. It's getting very frustrating for him to play and disheartening for us as his crew for him to go through it.
I'm here in hopes to help solve the issue or at least give some details of my system.
I personally have only ever seen a crash issue like this maybe once or twice. It really doesn't boil down to driver issues because so many people have reinstalled drivers but still encounter the issue. So that tells me (even as a very beginner developer) that its not the issue.
My system is running a GTX 1650. Driver date: 2020-09-30.
Driver version: 27.21.14.5671
I'm not sure why my 1650 is working perfectly but someone else's RTX 2080 (much newer and benchmarking way better) is not.
Could it be an issue with Hard drive or installed RAM not allowing data to be transferred properly?
My RAM is 2 x 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws Vseries DDR4 and I have a 512GB WD blue nvme m.2 SSD plus a 2TB Seagate Barracuda.
If there's others with a similar setup out there, are you having issues?
[Admin - splitting this off to its own thread because the original was rather old and has been inactive for a while]
- @EA_Kent Sadly the error came back after two days. I tried everything (firewall rules, reg fixes, run as administrator, repairing the game, reinstalling the game, clean boot etc. etc.)
I ended up buying a new graphic card and now it seems to work. The problem started with the update for season 11 and I only had issues with Apex Legends. All other games worked.
