Re: Disconnecting when I am in a party

Hi there @The_Lukos77,

If you're playing with friends, please make sure that you've opened the ports needed for Origin and Apex Legends.

There's an EA Help article that shows you which ports should be opened for Apex Legends:

https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/#apexlegends

We've also got a handy guide with connectivity troubleshooting for PC, which can be found here:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc

Could you try these and let me know how you get on?

  • I have been having this same issue but only with the playstaion that is on the same network as mine. I have all the ports open and sometimes it does work but then it will stop and not work again until we both restart our playstations and only sometimes. Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.

  • I tried adding the ports and I have tried clearing my dns using cmd prompt, clean restart, uninstall\reinstall, running Apex and origin as admin. I ha e made windows and graphics card are up to date.

I played for about an hour by myself and it worked fine and when I joined a friend's party, I played one game and it kicked me twice in a row.
  • Thank you for the responce jason. I do have that type of router actually its brand new in the last 6 months and has what is called smart connect so not all the options listed in these articles are exatly the same. I have tried to turn off the security and that did not fix the problem. It will not let me set a fixed ip as both of my playstations are wired. Besides it will let me in we played three games the other day zero issue. Fourth game connection errors both consoles. We had to restart the consoles to get the game to load at all. I enjoy playing this game but this issue has been a major turn off. We play fortnight and several other games together on this same internet connection without issue so its hard for me to want to have my internet unsecured or have to have a custom router set up because of a glitch with the ea systems. End of the day id rather just play another game then spend hours trying to work around something that should be resolved from the other end so thank you again for the responce and i hope apex does great.

    Just a quick update.....

I found a fix for it in my case at least for the time being. I am running an AMD fx 6300 six core processor and found that this seemed to be a common issue for people with the same processor based on other threads.

In my case, I took some of their advise and disabled 2 of my core's in my processor so I'm only running 4 and haven't had this issue in a few days of playing now.

I am still occasionally having the issue of the game crashing to desktop with no error message but that seems unrelated as it was happening before and it has only occurred a few times in the last few days I have played since this "fix".

I know this isn't ideal as there is a slight drop in performance but I have a potato of a PC and for the most part the game still runs fine until they can find a better solution. Hope this helps.
