Without any notification or announcement via email or the appeal system itself my account was seemingly unbanned on the 14th of February . I’m posting because my account was wrongly locked out for over a month, and even though I’m unbanned now, the way this was handled is not acceptable.
Summary: I received a ban for “gameplay enhancement.” I appealed multiple times (around 8) and every appeal was denied. Today my account was suddenly unbanned with no clear explanation or acknowledgement.
Result: I lost over a month of access to the game for something that was ultimately reversed. I’m glad I can play again, but that doesn’t undo the fact that I lost a full month of a live-service game (ranked time, events, battle pass progress, time with friends, etc.). What’s frustrating is the complete lack of transparency: if it was valid, why was it overturned? If it was a mistake, why were my appeals denied repeatedly?
What I’m asking EA/Respawn to address: What changed that caused the ban to be reversed after a month of denials? What steps are being taken to prevent false bans like this from happening again? Is there any consideration for compensation for players who are wrongfully banned (lost time/events/ranked split), or at least an official acknowledgement when a mistake is made? I’m not asking for special treatment — just basic fairness and communication. Being locked out for a month and then quietly reinstated after multiple denials makes the support/appeal process feel unreliable and one-sided.
I hope others that were affected by this issue get the justice they are deserved and there accounts rightfully reinstated.
