Battlefield 6 – Ideas and future plans
This document summarizes the main points and highlights Ideas for keeping the BF game going and bringing more players for the upcoming years.
Initial Success and Current Momentum Loss:
1. Slow Reactions to Game-Breaking Bugs: While the latest patch brought excellent fixes, the response time was long (it should be shorter since a lot of Players reported it).
2. The Issue with Skins and Aesthetics: The game was initially praised for its grounded and realistic military aesthetic, a welcome change from competitors, but the launch of Season One caused the original aesthetic to “completely go out of the window” with the introduction of bright, unrealistic skins. (which results in players feeling the game will go into cartoon skins, and things are far from the BF environment) Please keep it real and close to skins and camo that is out there in real life. (authentic base skins only)
3. Battle Pass and UI Design: Battle Pass Presentation: The current battle pass layout, with its seven different categories, makes the game feel like a “cheap free-to-play game.” The Players prefer the “nice and simple” horizontal line of previous titles.
• Main Menu UI: The main menu uses a “Hulu Netflix style with the tiles” that constantly moves things around. The Players request a simple fix: allow the first three tiles to always be the core game modes (Conquest, Breakthrough, and Escalation).
4. Server Browser and Low Population Regions: Missing Feature: One month after launch, there are still no official quickplay servers in the server browser. Impact: Players in low-population regions (e.g., South Africa, UAE, Australia) are forced to play with bots or experience long matchmaking times. (Could connect player from UAE to EU server, it's better and will decrease waiting times) Ping Issues: Players are being placed on servers far from their location (e.g., East Coast players on West Coast servers), resulting in unnecessarily high Ping.
Highlight: The Players question why official quickplay servers cannot be listed in the server browser, as they were in previous games, to give players a choice and better server access.
5. DLC for Future: Bring back BF2,3,4 maps and Weapons: most of BF6 players base are ppl who lived and played the games since BF2,3,4 and later on brining it back with DLC could be priced depending on content (if it include maps ex: Op Metro, OP Locker, Golmud railway, and more) it will push the players to stick more to the game. Please think about this, I’m sure players will be crazy about it, especially with the right trailer about how BF knows well how to do I’m sure a lot will buy this DLC.
6. RedSec BR: Its fun and amazing BR experience but it need a little changes to balance the thing in the game for ex: removing of the Targeting mission (it feels like giving other squads the position of other players for free) better to keep the Targeting player location unknown and if its down (killed) from other players they take points without giving location of the targeted player.
At the End, I’m thankful for your time, effort, and hard work you have done so far to bring the BF series to its right place, where everyone knows the game for its amazing atmosphere and times.
