PSN linked to unknown EA account

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for advice or escalation help regarding my PSN account being hacked and linked to someone else’s EA account.

Background:
My PSN account was compromised.

The hacker linked MY PSN to their own EA account.

I contacted EA support and explained the situation.

The EA advisor asked me to go through the account recovery process for the hacker’s EA account, but all the details required are related to the hacker, not me.

I can’t provide information about an account I’ve never owned.

My Concerns:

The only recovery process EA support has offered is for an account that was never mine.

I don’t understand how my PSN could be linked to someone else’s EA account without my consent.

I want to escalate this because I believe there may be a security loophole or an error in the account linking process.

What I Need:

A way for support to verify my ownership of the original PSN account instead of details about the hacker.

Steps to escalate this matter within EA or PlayStation support so that I can regain control or have my accounts unlinked.

Advice from others who may have faced a similar issue.

Thank you for any guidance or escalation contacts. I’m very frustrated and want a fair resolution.

I'm with the exact same problem. I tried to contact the support chat but it looks like I'm talking to a bot. They steer me towards resetting the hacker's account. I mean, I want to spend money with EA but I can't! Impressive...

  • I'm having a similar issue where my EA account is linked to my brother's friend's father's email address. Except I have no clue how it got linked to his email address. And I can't even get to the point of submitting a ticket because it's forcing me to choose a console. Despite many attempts of typing out different consoles the automated drop down just says no results found, so I can't even submit a ticket about my issue.

i got a hold of support after many attempt's Que was down to 3 hours and they could not help me with unlinking a account from my PlayStation. after a 45 minute interrogation and screenshots proving i owned the Sony account they denied me. im now trying to contact data protection. i wouldn't bother with support unless you have all the information on the linked account they wont help you an will waist your time.

The whole point of having a account linked forever does not make sense

Please, let us know if it works for you. I sent an e-mail to dpo but already recieved an auto reply message stating: “This mailbox is for questions about EA’s privacy practices and our Privacy & Cookie Policy. We’ll reach out to you if your message is about one of these topics”, so im not that hopeful…

  • Ok guys, after several waiting hours, a support agent managed to recover my account. I basically explained the same thing, I didn't say anything different. He found that I had an old EA account which was connected to my psn id (I didn't remember, from 2014), and, actually, the hacker got access to this old EA account changed the e-mail address of the account to the unknown e-mail. He basically changed the address of this old EA account to match the e-mail of my psn account and I could regain access.. I think it's about finding a good agent. Good luck guys

I think the difference here is that that EA account was your old EA account so you could relate to it, but when it is a completely different EA account that you have no relation to it, they cannot do anything.
