Sims 4 macOS Catalina v10.15.4 troubleshooting

I started playing Sims 4 on my MacBook Pro (2017) earlier this year. It was working completely fine but after updating and installing macOS Catalina I've had constant issues to the point where I have to force quit the game when I do attempt to play it (after troubleshooting).

On start up the main menu screen is speckled white, as is looking at the world maps. When I go to play my household or go into build mode, there is really bad lag, the game freezes, and switches back and forth from the loading screen, sometimes the screen even goes black with the music still playing.

I feel like I've been to every sims 4 forum and have done all recommended techniques to fix the issue but to no avail.

(I have attached images of my Macbook specifications for your understanding).

Thanks a lot In advance for any help!

    I have done that but still have the same issue.
    I previously have also repaired the game through origin, made sure origin is disabled in-game, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both origin and Sims 4, I even restored my MacBook to factory settings incase it was the problem.
    I don't use any mods or cc if that helps also.

    Could you post a screenshot of your in-game graphics options? Could you set up a new user account on your Mac and see if it happens in that account?

    Oh no ☹️

    Do you have anything running that could be conflicting with the game? Any apps launching on startup like monitoring software, antivirus, streaming? Could you also post a screenshot of the speckled screen you describe?

    @Bluebellflora

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    I don't have any apps or programs that could conflict with the game. I completely restored my MacBook to its factory settings and wiped it of everything just in case it was the issue. I am completely stumped as to why Sims 4 just doesn't want to work for me :/

    I've attached a couple of images of the speckled screen.

    Thanks for your continuous help 🙂
