Endless household loading across multiple saves and computers

For over a year, through many game versions, the game frequently gets stuck on an endless loading screen when loading into a household. The Plumbob keeps spinning until it becomes choppy, and the laptop fans ramp up, and the household never loads. I have most expansion packs and have tried reinstalling everything, repairing, and deleted all folders and files. I am not using any mods. This has been an issue on both of my laptops with the same EA account. I've tried lowering graphics settings, but my laptop is designed for gaming and seem to be running well when I play otherwise with the CPU at 25-35%, however when the game gets stuck like that the disk usage is at 0%. Windows does not report "Not responding". Some days, I cannot play the game at all.
