What should I do from the recommendations because I removed the Origin in game and tried to update the Intel Graphic card and it was unsuccessful.
@MiddleEarthFan1 did it end up working? If you have issues with installing the drivers for Intel, contact Intel or the store you bought the computer from.
Your drivers are from 8/4/2015, so there should be an update on them.

I keep getting this error message when I try to update the graphics card. Also, roughly around the same time this started doing *, I implemented a secondary screen, could that have done it?
The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtained the appropriate driver from the computer manufacture.
After saying yes, it takes me to this link: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005469.html

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
To gather a DxDiag on your computer, please follow the steps here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
You can attach the txt file to your post directly. - Anonymous9 years ago
I already put my dxdig on the first post.

Sorry, somehow thought you were a different user then OP. Dah
leaving this to @Phantomlover1717 then
I would suggest taking the screen out to test if that is the issue.
The message you get is a common thing, I think Asus should have drivers then.
I'm having the same problem but I've tried all the things listed and still the sims 4 won't run. I'm pretty sure my pc meets requirements but her they are just to make sure.

I also tried all the advice found above and elsewhere on the net to no avail. I eventually fixed the issue by checking "Disable full-screen optimisations" in the Compatibility properties tab in Explorer. The file to change is TS4_x64.exe (or TS4.exe for 32-bit Windows, presumably...) in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin. Screenshot attached.

thanks for that info. That's interesting and would explain why some people have luck running the game in windowed mode but not in full screen.

What is odd is that this problem just developed overnight. I've had The Sims 4 running happily for months until it suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago (my kids tell me). Presumably a software update from EA or MS or Nvidia broke it.

I'm having the same problem, my Sims 4 worked just fine for a whole year but suddenly a few months ago it just kept giving me that same error and I haven't been able to fix it, no matter what I try. This is really frustrating.

Please post a DxDiag:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/Updates in the game might cause this if your under system requirements. If you're not, a change in the computer might cause this. If I can look at your specs I might be able to tell you something about it 🙂
- I tried doing this but I couldn't find "Disable full-screen optimisations." I tried every single suggestion but nothing is working for me. I've been trying to play for 4 hours already but nothing works! I'm deeply saddened, but do you guys have any other suggestions?

Sorry to necro an old post, but I'm having this exact problem. It started after Origin's most recent update and I've been unable to run the Sims 4 since. I'm quite certain that my computer meets all system requirements and I've updated my AMD drivers. I've also tried disabling the full-screen optimizations and have run a repair on the game. Won't seem to run in either full-screen mode or windowed mode.
Attached my dxdiag here. Please help! - crinrict8 years agoHero+
Here's a few more suggestions (in case you haven't already tried those)
please try the following things
- Turn off Origin In Game
- Uninstall and reinstall your graphics drivers
- Rollback to earlier graphics drivers
- Right click on the game in Origin and press repair game
Test after each step

Looks like I had to uninstall and reinstall my drivers. Thank you so much!

Glad that worked. Enjoy the game
- Anonymous7 years agoThe same thing happened to me and I just couldn't figure out how to solve the problem... I went to my game settings and made it 32-bit instead of 64-bit, and voila! It started working! Not sure if you've already tried this but you should, it might work.
