SDX Error

I haven’t been able to play online because I keep getting a Sims Delivery Error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is what I’ve tried so far:

I have onedrive turned off. I use Norton for an antivirus and have the game added to exceptions. I moved my mods folder out and deleted the localthumbcache.package, but it didn’t change anything. I repaired the game and cleared the cache too. I also ran the EA app as an administrator.

I’m not sure what to try next. I’d appreciate any advice!

If that's not the issue, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  Give the account a simple name (e.g. Test) to keep things simple.

puzzlezaddict  I think because I have Norton instead it doesn’t allow me to add exceptions for Windows Defender. I don’t have the option available to. If I search it then it says unavailable. I tried creating a new admin account but it didn’t fix it either.

  • McKenzieM98  If Norton is disabled, Windows Defender should take over.  If Defender is still deferring to Norton, that likely means Norton isn't actually disabled. You might need to remove it entirely, at least temporarily, which would also be a useful test.

The new admin account is only a thorough test if a) it's local (not tied to a Microsoft account or any email address) AND if it was created while your antivirus couldn't interfere.  So with Norton still running, I wouldn't consider the new account a failure yet.  But that also means that your main account might start working again once you have the AV situation sorted out.

puzzlezaddict  i got it to work! I just missed one thing in Norton I needed to also temporarily disable to have it not running. I just have to remember to turn it off when I want to play the game now lol. Thank you so much for your help!

  • McKenzieM98  Would you be willing to list all the settings you had to change or disable?  I've had a couple other players say the game wouldn't work with Norton installed, even with it supposedly disabled.  So it would be helpful to be able to point to your list of what changes actually need to be made.
