sammiejewel2000 To make sure the issue is the save and not the game overall, please try loading a new save. If it works, save your progress, quit, restart your computer, and try again to load the new save. If you have issues with it (the first time or the second), stop here and let me know.
If the new save is fine, try loading a different household within your main save, just to see whether it works. If it does, you can play that other household for a few sim-hours and then try to go back to your main one.
