Recently i can't play BF5 Community Server because i got this popup saying "Could not load configs". is there a fix for this? I bought the game directly via EA and i did Repaired the game but it is still not working.Shinetori16 days agoSeasoned Rookie10KViews139likes251CommentsBFV - End of Round, Weapon Unlock Reward Issues
Update, May 21: Good news, we’ve fixed the end of round issues, and you’ve let us know they are once again showing as intended. Please do let us know if you notice any further issues. We can also confirm that unlock rewards are once again available to all players on console. However, some PC players have indicated that they are still unable to unlock the rewards for reaching level 20. If you are a PC player, and have played until at least level 20 and are still affected by this issue, please reach out to EA Help to have these restored for you. Thank you for staying in touch with us during our investigation, and your continued patience while we’ve worked to restore expected game behavior. Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Hi all, This past week, two Battlefield V issues have been reported to us. Both issues are still being investigated, and I've summarized them for you below. Once further information becomes available, we'll post it here. May 6 - PC - Could not fetch your report at the end of the match The results screen at end of round doesn't show, and instead gives the error "Could not fetch your report". May 8 - PC- Players do not receive class level rewards Upon gaining a level with rewards, players are not receiving the weapon unlock rewards for that level. At this time there is no workaround available. Thank you for reporting these issues and sticking with us while we work to restore normal game behavior.SolvedStraatford874 years agoDICE Team19KViews136likes367Commentsstuck on server loading screen when changing maps (double loading spinner)

Here are some of the BFV Easter eggs found as well as some theories I put together from our findings over at the Battlefield Easter Egg (BFEE) Discord (link in my signature at the bottom). This, of course, doesn't include all EEs, and some of the EEs haven't been compiled yet (at least not by me). Anyway, join the Discord and help us discover new EEs! BFV Firestorm Hangar Room Transcription Compilation With the 23 May 2019 patch, a new room appeared on the west side of the Firestorm preround hangar. There are cryptic writings strewn about on the north and south walls of the room. In addition, among the objects in the room, you will find the same orange devices seen on various vehicles on each of 2 doors on the south wall, 2 Sulis machines along the north side, 5 generators, and a 3-storied catwalk at the room's west end that you can climb to the top with the help of others. When you find and destroy the gnome, its behavior is as follows: 1. Periodically, the gnome(s) you destroy will follow you around, then vanish and reappear repeatedly until you repair the gnome(s) at the original location. 2. When you look at them, they will turn to face you with glowing red eyes. 3. The gnomes are only visible to the player that destroyed it, e.g. if you destroy both gnomes on Fjell 652, both will follow you and are only visible to you; whereas, if someone else destroys one and you destroy the other, then each gnome will only be visible to the respective player who destroyed it. 4. They will not come indoors (e.g. a house). + At Arras, you will be able to find a gnome at 8 possible locations. Note that only 1 gnome will be available among the 8 locations per map load. This is the Settings overview of my Battlefield V Tips (you can find part 1 on Strategy tips here). It's primarily aimed at improving performance, so do keep that in mind as relative visual quality will obviously suffer. Some gamers may have developed various preferences which may detract from the settings below, but many folks will probably find the following to offer a moderate to massive improvement in performance and / or convenience. Mouse-specific settings are in bold red text below. Over time, I'll add to or update the settings tips below. Comment if you have other suggestions, opinions, etc. to add to the list below. Out-of-Game Settings + Update your graphics card Do this first. Nvidia users: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx AMD users: https://www.amd.com/en/support If you're an Nvidia user... Make sure to enable "Use the 3D application setting": Right-click desktop > Nvidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings tab > Vertical Sync > "Use the 3D application setting" You can update your graphics driver directly via Nvidia's GeForce Experience, which automatically detects your GPU and lets you know when a new driver is out. Restart your computer. + Wired > Wireless Use a wired ethernet connection instead of a WiFi connection. Wireless is inherently slower and less reliable than a direct wire connection, all else constant. If your computer is a little too far from the modem to connect to, then it may prove worthwhile to invest in an (appropriate length) ethernet cable. If for some reason a wireless connection is the only option, then there are some settings on your (modem-)router that you can adjust yourself by going to "192.168.01" via your browser's address search. There you can adjust a myriad settings to your router to help mitigate connectivity issues, such as limiting which devices have access to your router, establishing a proper WiFi password, and removing guest accounts (i.e. is someone leeching off your internet?), along with more advanced options that require of you to research your specific device further. + Disable "Enhance pointer precision" This Windows feature makes your mouse movement inconsistent. You want the mouse pointer's distance to move in proportion with your mouse movement's distance traveled, as opposed to your mouse movement's speed. In other words, all else constant, if you quickly nudge your mouse a small distance, your mouse shouldn't change behavior and jump to the other side of the screen. Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Mouse > Pointer Options tab > Uncheck "Enhance pointer precision" If you're using the Logitech Gaming Software for your mouse, there's also an option that defaults-in the Enhance Pointer Precision, and overrides your Windows settings. Make sure that this is left unchecked. + Disable Windows Fullscreen Optimization Disabling this Windows feature leads to fewer crashes when you ALT+TAB out of the game. I'm sure there are other benefits, too. Right click Battlefield V executable file > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations" + Automatic console commands This displays the FPS at the top-right corner of your screen automatically upon the game's launch so that you don't have to enter console commands every time. The second line affects the size shown of the FPS value - a value of 3 is good on 4K, while a value of 2 is good on 1920 x 1080. You can fudge around with the third line but I like mine at 2. If you want to explore this topic in greater depth, check out the pinned thread at the Technical Issues sub-forum on how you can maximize your FPS by @2042isNotBF. Open Notepad and enter these three lines: PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1 PerfOverlay.FpsDisplayScale 3 Gametime.Maxvariablefps XXX Save the file as user.cfg, and save it to your Battlefield V's main directory (typically under Program Files... but you can simply right-click the BFV exe on the desktop and choose "Open file location"). Note that the "XXX" in Gametime.Maxvariablefps XXX is the max fps that you want. For me, that number is 119. For you, that number may be different. Foremost, as a bit of an overview of optimizing your FPS... I like to think of it like rhythm, or analogous to clapping on beat to a song. If you have say a 60 Hz monitor, then 120 FPS in-game is at double its rhythm and is on beat. Basically, a whole number factor of your monitor's native refresh rate jibes well. If you're playing "off beat" at say 83 FPS, then the frame rate is not synced, and you'll see that mismatch in-game (e.g. screen tears). This is part of the point of V-Sync and framerate limiters - to sync the FPS produced with what your monitor can handle, to produce a smooth visual experience. A few FPS off won't really make a difference, but the more off you are will cause screen tears and other non-desirable effects. First, go to a V-sync monitor test site such as vsynctester.com and find out your true refresh rate. Although my native refresh rate was supposedly at 59.94 Hz, the real world test showed that it was a little under that, closer to 59.5 Hz. Next, find out what your in-game FPS typically peaks at, or take the mode (the most consistent FPS value). Then take your refresh rate and multiply it by the highest whole number within your peak / mode FPS value. For instance, if you have a real refresh rate of 59.5 and you max out your in-game FPS at 130, your maximum value is 119. This 119 value is set as the "framerate limit" value in RTSS. I find myself playing at a much more consistent and constant refresh rate of 119 without volatility, which helps with consistent shooting (i.e. the FPS doesn't keep jumping all over the place from say, 130 down to 119 to 125 to 119, etc.). + Disable Origin In-Game You can avoid any sort of lag due to Origin In-Game running within Battlefield V. Also, the Origin FPS counter is redundant with the automatic console commands. Go to Origin > Origin In-Game: Enable Origin In-Game: OFF Also, you must disable Origin In-Game on a per game basis. Go to Origin > My Game Library > Right click the BFV game image > Select Game Properties: "Enable Origin In-Game for Battlefield V": OFF Similarly, eliminate any further lag due to Origin by not sending data to Origin. Go to Origin > Diagnostics > Help Improve Origin: Share hardware info: OFF Share system interaction data: OFF Origin crash reporting: Never send + MSI Afterburner This program overclocks (OC) your GPU. I won't get into the nitty gritty of it, as you can find a lot of resources online regarding it. Instead, this'll be a very simple overview of what you can do if you're looking to get even more performance out of your GPU. This should be the last thing you do among the out-of-game settings listed here, as other, much simpler steps can be taken without taxing your GPU and shortening your GPU's life. After you've downloaded MSI Afterburner, make sure to click on the buttons circled in red below until their highlighted. Since this will be a very brief and a beginner's guide to MSI Afterburner, we'll only be focusing on the Core Clock value. Increase this value in 50 MHz intervals. If you don't crash after playing several games, then you can continue to increase the MHz. Keep going until your game crashes. Then either revert back to your previous MHz value, or tweak it further between the last two values. Note that this is just the maximum MHz value, and it isn't necessarily the best setting. If you're getting a huge increase in performance by overclocking it to say, 100 MHz, and further increases don't see much more improvement, then you don't need to go any higher, even though your game won't crash even at say, 300 MHz. After you've determined your core clock value, click on the save icon shown below. The numbers to the left will blink. Select a number (e.g. 1). This will save that configuration to profile #1. Then, change all of your values back to 0 (i.e. core clock = "+0"). Click on the save icon once more and select a different number to save that configuration (e.g. 2). As it stands now, these profiles need to be applied manually so that the desired overclocking value takes effect. But, that'll be tedious and you don't want the GPU to overclock when you're out of the game (even though MSI Afterburner may revert back to the default 0 value when you exit BFV, this is a safeguard). Thus, you want to have the correct profile load automatically when you open up and exit out of Battlefield V. Settings (gear) icon > Profile tab > Automatic profiles management: 2D profile: 2 <Your default profile when you're on your desktop> 3D profile: 1 <Profile when you play Battlefield V> + Mouse DPI & Sensitivity This is a contentious topic with lots of theories on how to maximize your performance. In reality, it's all relative to your setup and your play style preference. Other mouse settings are in bold red headers above and below this section. Although a higher DPI will offer a smoother mouse movement, the trade-off is that precision aiming becomes too volatile - the slightest nudge will throw your aim off. That's why in some games like CS:GO, the tried and true way to go is low DPI (i.e. 400-800) and low sensitivity. However, there are many other factors to consider, including but not limited to monitor size, resolution, distance to monitor, mouse movement style, etc. You will basically have to do some trial and error to fine tune your mouse's settings to maximize your performance. Here's one method to manually fine tune your mouse: Set your DPI to a factor of your resolution scale: if you're playing at 4K, or 3840 x 2160, then you can try a dpi of 3840*0.5= 1920. Your mouse may only allow you to set your DPI in increments of 50, 100, etc. In which case, round to the value closest to your target number. In our case, that'll be 1900 when you have increments of 50. Next, go to the practice range to test out how your mouse feels. If you tend to drag your mouse with your arm, take the maximum distance of your horizontal mouse movement (typically the lateral width of your mouse pad), look straight ahead at a reference object (e.g. a pole), and drag your mouse all the way across to the other end of your mouse pad. You should end up at the same reference object, i.e. you should have done a single 360° rotation. If not, tweak your sensitivity accordingly, and do the 360° test again until you end up at the same reference point. If it still feels awkward, then that's when you modify your mouse DPI (e.g. from 1900 down to 1800); you'll have to readjust your sensitivity after you do another 360° test. Keep repeating these steps until you are comfortable moving, turning, shooting, aiming, etc. Now, if you're a wrist user, instead of using your entire mouse pad width as your distance, you'll want to measure the actual maximum distance traveled as you pivot with your wrist. That is, measure the horizontal distance you actually travel with your mouse as you do a 360° turn. The rest of the methodology from the arm-mouse player applies. + Close all other programs when playing This is a bit self-explanatory. Depending on your computer's hardware setup, this alone may help you see a marked decrease in in-game lag. Make sure to close all other programs such as internet browsers, and don't forget to close any unnecessary background processes. + Latency Variation (FIX)- If you get the symbol below, you are having latency variation issues. That basically means that your latency, or "ping", is not consistent or stable enough, which may be responsible for a significant amount of lag on your end. To resolve this issue, I've found that a hard reset of the modem/router works best. 1. Unplug your modem's power for 5 minutes. 2. Plug it back in, and wait 2 minutes as it loads back up. 3. Repeat these first 2 steps for the router. If you have a modem-and-router-in-one, then you can ignore step 3. If you're still experiencing issues with your modem, then you may want to dig a bit deeper and see if it may be a hardware issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In-Game Settings All of the following in-game settings are meant to focus on performance. Obviously then, the trade-off is that you will see a relative decline in visual quality. Keep that in mind as you consider the following in-game settings. Check out the screenshots and match them up. There are a lot of small and large impact settings to go through, so I'll leave it at simply showing you screenshots of what I have. And, just like the out-of-game settings from earlier, some of these settings minimize variability in your mouse's input so that it's more predictable and consistent. + Graphics - Video Basic Fullscreen Resolution: <Native desktop resolution recommended> Field of View: 74* Vehicle 3P Field of View: 95 ADS Field of View: OFF Motion Blur: 0% Chromatic Aberration: OFF Film Grain: OFF Vignette: OFF Lens Distortion: OFF *Note that a value of 74 is equal to a value of 90° in horizontal view. If you put the value at its max, then it becomes a 120° viewing angle (the actual viewing angle of humans in real life). You actually don't want this "real" value because your entire viewing angle is scrunched up onto the monitor, which makes objects harder to see the further away they are (unless you have an ultra wide monitor or multi-monitor setup). However, a value of 74 (90°) basically mimics your actual depth perception and cuts off the periphery. In other words, for most single monitors, a value of 74 is closer to how you actually see things in real life. Playing Battlefield™ V should always be a fair experience. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to cheating and the anti-cheat team here at DICE is constantly working towards identifying and banning players who use hacks to ruin the experience for honest players. We’d like to answer some of the most asked questions on this topic and detail how we’re working tirelessly to create a safe, secure environment for the community. This article will touch on the current state of affairs, but our anti-cheat work is, of course, an ongoing endeavor. Going forward, you'll see more status updates on our anti-cheat efforts. Please note: in this article, we are intentionally leaving out some of the key details of our anti-cheat efforts to avoid revealing anything which cheaters and cheat program developers may take advantage of. What are the top five things DICE is doing to prevent cheating in Battlefield V? 1) Working on better prevention, hardening the PC client against exploits. 2) Scaling up detection efforts. 3) Investigating supplementary deterrence methods which can work alongside banning accounts. 4) Investigating methods of improving the reporting flow, including easier reporting. 5) Keeping up to date with the latest cheat developments and reacting to them in a faster and leaner manner. How are you identifying cheaters in Battlefield V? We use a combination of in-game and server technology, such as FairFight, along with information from external websites, player reporting, and social channels. Having worked on anti-cheat for a long time, we have the knowledge combined with a refined set of procedures to identify cheating. However, finding the cheaters' unique identifiers and issuing bans based on them is not a silver bullet. Cheat developers work tirelessly to get around these methods, which creates a cat-and-mouse game in which we constantly need to be vigilant. How are confirmed cheaters being punished? After the launch of Battlefield V... all bans for cheating in the game are now permanent. No more one-week suspensions. We can’t guarantee that cheaters won’t come back using new accounts, though. Players will be banned as soon as we reliably detect them and will be removed from the active game if need be. How can one tell the difference between a great player and a cheating player? This is one of the challenges of anti-cheat work. There are many skilled players who do seemingly impossible things in game, and they are often wrongly reported as cheaters (shout out to Stodeh who highlights this with some amazing plays). Our team at DICE is trained to spot cheaters through its knowledge of different hacks and cheat types, which we constantly keep up to date with. Some cheaters are good in masking themselves. Some are not – and some do not care. These aggressive players are getting dozens of kills without attempting to hide their cheating and are often harassing other users through the chat. Getting into Spectator mode and observing the player is your best bet to spot cheaters. Are they consistently tracking enemy players through walls? Did they make an aim adjustment which seems inhuman? Do they kill players in less than the expected bullet amount? Are all their kills headshots? These can all be clues to help you make an informed decision. How do I report a suspected cheater? You can submit a report through the Origin overlay if you're playing on PC or through your respective consoles if you're playing on Xbox One or PlayStation® 4. This walkthrough on the Battlefield™ Forums will show you how: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/report-players-for-cheating-abuse-and-harassment/ How do you know you won't incorrectly ban players? Before activating bans on players, we always do thorough investigations. In 2018, the number of false positive bans in all DICE titles could be counted on one hand. (Compromised accounts would not be classed as false positives as they were banned correctly in the first place.) We are always cautious to avoid issuing false positive bans that would cause trouble for players fighting fair. You can learn more about banned or suspended accounts here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/. How does cheating impact PC versus console players? Due to the nature of the platform, PC is by far the platform where cheats are most common. We are however aware of the (few) potential ways to cheat on console, and we're constantly following developments in both Battlefield and the consoles themselves to see if further ways to cheat will be made possible. How can I protect my EA Account so it won’t be compromised and used by cheaters? Follow this link to learn how you can protect your EA Account: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/how-to-maintain-account-security/. What can I as a non-cheating player do? Remember to secure your account to prevent compromises. For the health of the game, we will be unable to discriminate between a cheater who is using a compromised account or not, so save yourself from potential heartbreak and learn how to protect your account with a strong password and log-in verification here: https://help.ea.com/help/account/how-to-maintain-account-security. Also, you should be aware of Battlefield V's code of conduct: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/battlefield/battlefield-v/play-by-the-battlefield-v-rules. (Source) With this update, we'd like to remind you to please report cheating through our official channels, instead of discussing or highlighting it via forums. This means going forward we'll close threads regarding cheating to ensure our dedicated teams can action the reports via the appropriate channels.EA_Kent5 years agoCommunity Manager33KViews90likes0CommentsBroken Rank Advancement

Heyo Battlefielders, I just wanted to stop by and firstly apologize for the lack of acknowledgement from our teams over the weekend, this is attributed to lower coverage over the holiday period of Easter. We have seen your various posts on the possible server outages for Battlefield you're currently experiencing and have escalated this to the appropriate teams. Hopefully with this we can see some traction on getting this issue resolved. Please standby, we'll update this thread as we hear back from teams on the resolution of these issues. 2pm CT: Currently no update from the team on an ETA of expected fix. 4pm CT: Currently no update from the team on an ETA of expected fix. 6am CT /11am GMT - We have rolled out updates this morning and servers should now be working.EA_Arcadia5 years agoEA Staff8.2KViews73likes0CommentsBattlefield V Tips, Part I: Strategy
In my view, players can improve their gaming experience by concretely developing what I call the four S's of success, with what's preceding affecting everything that follows: Setup (hardware), Settings, Strategy, & Skill. This bit covers the strategy portion, and is a Battlefield V version of the "Battlefield Tips" that I posted for BF1. Many of the tips have transferred over, and I've weeded out the non-relevant bits while adding a few more pointers. + Drop ammo / med crates EVERY time you stop - This has tremendous leverage, especially given the aura effect of crates - if you're getting shot at, you don't have to choose between dropping ammo / meds, and shooting the enemy. You're able to quickly resupply / heal while attacking, instead of fumbling to drop ammo / meds followed by a delayed shot. Similarly, as medic / support with pouches (preferred), you should be tossing them to friendlies every chance you get. Your teammates shouldn't have to ask for them - be proactive and it saves time and gives your team supply leverage. + Move in the direction of least momentum - Don't move towards objectives that are being capped sufficiently or have tons of your teammates already going after it - you're contributing very little to the objective. Instead, move towards the farther objectives to flank the enemy and force them to turn around and decongest the front lines. Additionally, pull up the map, see what's not being capped, and go there; bind the full map key to something more ergonomic like Mouse Button 3. Also see You win by capping, not by camping below. + Don't move in a herd - If your goal is to cap objectives, then split your forces up (at least into two). Moving as one big herd may make it easier to cap an objective, but the enemy can simply tail you and recap their lost objective. Similar to "Move in the direction of least momentum" above, adding more to the herd has little value added to capping the objective. Notable Exception: Always stick together in Team Deathmatch and Final Stand. There are no objectives to cap, and only kills matter. That means you want to stay together to more easily kill enemies instead of dying off one by one as lone wolves. The probability of getting a revive and successfully reviving others increases drastically over going solo, hence you save tickets. It can often be beneficial to stick as a herd in Breakthrough mode when you want to capture the very first objective out of two, after which you split up accordingly to defend and capture the respective objectives. + Don't block doorways - Get in or get out, and do your thing, but don't create a greater bottleneck for the enemy to take advantage of and mow everyone down. It also wastes time and unnecessarily restricts mobility. + Establish multiple lines of fire - All too often I see teammates capping an objective and hugging a single corner, one in front of the other. This is a big no-no since a single enemy can wipe everyone out (since bullets are great at penetrating...). If you're capping an objective with say one or two other teammates, then go to different corners so you can cover different angles and watch each other's backs. + Play your class - e.g. As a medic, if there's no immediate threat and you must choose between reviving and shooting, revive. Other times you're left with no choice but to kill an enemy in order to reach and revive a teammate. Bottom line: don't leave your teammates bleeding out a couple meters away from you, while the enemy is entrenched 20 meters out. Also note that teammates who are bleeding out can see enemies via kill cam, so they know exactly where they are. Reviving them will mean that they can take very precise action immediately. Also see "Communicate enemy positions" below. e.g. As a recon player, as the name suggests, your primary job is to spot, not snipe. You should be spot flaring as often as possible to reveal enemy positions. This idea seems to allude many newer recon class snipers, who are seen camping all game in the back and taking long range shots at targets. The issue with this can be seen in "PTFO", "You win by capping, not by camping", and "Pile onto the last objective" below. + PTFO - Get good at CQB and obtaining a high KDR, over being a lone wolf sniping to get a high kdr. Even PTFO and a low KDR is better than being a lone wolf. Sniping long distance doesn't help the team to get the W. Remember, in terms of capping, killing an enemy on the objective is a net loss of 1 for the enemy; killing an enemy while on the objective is a net loss of 2 for the enemy since you're also now capping. If that still doesn't make sense to you, then think about it in terms of basketball - if you steal the ball and score 2 points, you're not only up by 2 points, the enemy is down 2 points from not scoring before the steal - a 4 point differential! + You win by capping, not by camping - This may be obvious as an Attacker, but it holds *even more true for Defenders. Say you're on Twisted Steel with the hypothetical objectives shown in the image below (see image below). The enemy controls objectives B & C, while your team desperately holds onto A. Go to C. It's the furthest from the enemy's point of direction. That way, the enemy bleeds reinforcements in transition back to C and decongests their numbers on A (see "Move in the direction of least momentum" above). You don't all have to flank to C, but a sizable force should (see "Don't move in a herd" above). In sum, as Defenders, don't limit your strategy to only defend objectives you hold - attack and recapture points. I created a mnemonic to help everyone remember: ABC - Always Be Capping. + Repair often - If your vehicle has taken too much damage, don't return to battle without repairing. Otherwise, you're engaging enemies in battle with an unnecessary handicap against you. So, retreat then repair. Also, see "As a tanker..." below. + Pile onto the last objective - As a Defender in Operations, if the last objective in a sector is being capped, you and everyone else should be charging in. This is regardless of whether or not you're being shot at. Throw nades and briefly shoot as you move in, but don't stop and camp on the fringes. The same concept applies to Attackers when time and/or reinforcements are running out. + Consolidate squads - You want to be able to have as many spawn locations as possible, to provide quicker strategic action. That means that having a full squad is essential. However, I often see too many players in their own squads, or in a squad with only one other person. This sometimes happens because people leave; but when you recognize that your squad is short, ask for others to join your squad, or join theirs. Otherwise, every time a 2-3 player squad has no one left alive, the enemy gets a squad wipe bonus, which only adds to their squad reinforcement points. + Destroy building walls and obstacles facing you - Deny the enemy its cover and expose them. Don't destroy the walls facing the enemy, as you can use that as cover. This is something I do especially whenever I play as a tanker, and I make sure to run over barbed wire and sandbags. As an added bonus, I often find myself killing enemies hiding behind the cover over those buildings and obstacles. + Fortify but don't wall off your team - This is complementary to what's above. The difference here is building the correct fortifications - not ones that enemies can use against you. This is most evident in more linear game modes such as Grand Operations or Breakthrough. Take for instance the Wake Island example below. The blue indicates the Attacker's fortifications that should be put up (objective A are walls, objective B are railings). The red indicates the Defender's fortifications that should be put up (objective A are walls, the rest are either cement blocks or railings). Simply put, if you need to keep the enemy out (e.g. as Defenders), then barricade the perimeter. If you need to cap an objective, then barricade the enemy's main entryways and don't wall of your team with fortifications facing your spawn. + Issue (the correct) orders - You can maximize points earned by issuing orders to objectives that are already capped or what will be capped soon, whichever will yield the quickest objective squad points. For instance, if your team has one objective capped, one that's currently capping, and the rest are owned by the enemy, choose the one that's in the process of being capped. Over the course of a Grand Operations match, this will yield at least a few thousand points for you and your squad members; whereas, always choosing the enemy's objective has no timer that counts down until you receive squad order points. What's key is that you must play to PTFO to capitalize on this the most. + Use smoke as Attackers, not as Defenders - In Operations, as Attackers, you want to conceal your forward movement to cap the objectives. Smoke helps tremendously to do this, and it should be one of your top choices for your loadout, and is easily among the most underrated items at your disposal. Even still, I do see players make the mistake of smoking just the front of the objective instead of either the middle or the enemies' front. If you smoke just the front, then the enemy will still be able to see you coming while you obscure your entry. Consequently, as Defenders, don't use smoke - you need to be able to see the enemies that are coming your way. It's far better to use other nades instead to soften the attackers. Don't be concerned with using smoke against enemy snipers for the aforementioned reasons, and because if they're too far away, they're not capping. Counter snipe, use suppression fire, etc. instead. Notable exception:: As medics, use smoke to revive teammates, especially when in the open. You should always assume that teammates who are bleeding out means that enemies are around, with their eyes on whoever comes across the same spot. + If you hear gunfire, always assume that it's the enemy's unless you confirm otherwise. Often times I'll see friendlies get killed from a flanking enemy, while teammates are completely oblivious to anything that happens outside of their periphery. Don't just assume that it's your teammates shots that you hear, especially if the tempo and sound of gunfire changes. + If you see teammates bleeding out, always assume that an enemy is nearby. Similar to the one above, when there are teammates bleeding out, approach with caution. If you're a medic or sniper, then this is usually a good time to drop smoke to revive, especially when you're in the open. + If you are bleeding out, be patient and look for a nearby medic. Keep in mind that if a medic doesn't come to help you right away, they may be looking for the enemy who killed you. Too often, teammates skip revives and cost reinforcements, when a few moments later medics will get to you. Be patient and wait for a revive. + When your team loses a sector, always retreat. In game modes like Grand Operations where Defenders must retreat after losing a sector, there is no reason not to retreat. During the retreat phase, 1) you cannot dwindle down the enemy ticket count, 2) the enemy sees all Defenders within the sector, 3) there's a countdown timer after which point you will automatically perish, and last but definitely not least, 4) the enemy receives three additional reinforcements for each retreater who dies in the previous sector. Sometimes it may be difficult to retreat, especially when you're out in the open - this is when I like to pop smoke and make my run out to the next sector where you will automatically be fully resupplied. Notable exception: In Frontlines, the retreat time directly shaves time off of the main timer. So if time is running out and your team is either winning or tied and the enemy has a chance to arm MCOMs, you can stall and end the game by not retreating. Also note that a set number of tickets are given to each team to destroy the MCOMs, so there's no reinforcement penalty for dying as a retreater in this mode. + Before you advance to the next sector, push as far ahead as possible - When you're playing in modes such as Breakthrough, Frontlines, Rush, etc., during the interim before you advance to the next sector, you want to push up ahead of time. This'll reduce the time the enemy team has to prepare defenses and settle in. Do not wait until the timer goes to zero to start pushing out of the previously capped sector. Rather, inch up to the boundary of the next sector. The important point to keep in mind is to not overextend if the cap hasn't been made yet. For instance, on Frontlines, I often see players who are already 1-2 sectors ahead before their team has even capped the objective. If half your team is ahead before capping, then those left to cap will be overrun. And, if you're playing in Conquest or more sandbox game modes, I recommend inching up to the edge of the objective to get ready to move to the next objective. Of course, if there are enemies nearby, then I'd cap while staying put behind cover or concealment. + Fog is your friend - One common complaint I hear is about the weather; specifically, the notorious fog. In actuality, it's a blessing in literal disguise. If you're attacking in Operations, fog will help you tremendously, as it's effectively a global light smoke to help your team advance under concealment. Another bonus is that it limits the sight range of snipers on both sides, so your teammates may want to consider playing other classes. + Communicate enemy positions - Use your mic or type in the chat to communicate where the enemies are. Don't let your teammates unwittingly walk into an enemy camped inside a house. Let them know where the enemies are instead of having your teammates independently discover enemies. While you're down and bleeding out, you should always be pinging the enemy's location, and a red marker will appear if you press Q (default on PC) directly on the enemy for teammates to see. Otherwise, you'll see a yellow marker which can be used to the same effect. Note that smoke prevents you from pinging at enemies. It adds no value to simply look at medics while bleeding out. + Air traffic control - If I'm on the ground, I often hop on the anti-air (AA) and I coordinate with pilots and tell them to lure enemy planes over my AA at X objective. Conversely, if I'm piloting a plane, I like to ask others to get on the AA (which is easier said than done...). This frees up your bombers from evading enemy fighters, so that they can engage ground troops, which in turn helps our foot soldiers cap objectives. So keep your pilots in mind and get on the AA! + "What are those?!?" - If you play looking down at your shoes, then you'll be losing that much time moving your mouse up to target. Look level as you move and you'll be able to snap to target faster. + Reinforcement Count - As a rule, your reinforcement (ticket) count decreases upon permanent death when you're no longer able to be revived. This is the case for all game modes (note, however, that there may be future changes to and other game modes that may utilize what I call a "Cost of Admission" in which ticket bleed occurs upon spawning in). + Darwin Awards - Don't stand next to fire barrels or high explosives areas (e.g. places such as on Conquest objective D on Wake Island below). They explode, burn, and kill you. As a gunner... + Do NOT shoot unnecessarily - If the enemy doesn't see you flanking or advancing while in a tank or other vehicle, then don't shoot wildly out of randomness, spite, etc. You only disrupt the element of surprise. + Play as an Engineer - If your tank is going head to head with another tank with no other soldiers around, often times your tanker can stay still and trade damage, while you repair the tank from behind (use the tank as cover away from the enemy tank's shells). If you're a dedicated gunner, then it helps tremendously to play as a Support class with the Engineer Combat Role, which allows for much quicker repairs. + Do NOT shoot at enemy tanks - The muzzle flash and tracer rounds from the gunner's MG will let the enemy tanker hone in on your position, which is visible through smoke since the enemy can guesstimate where the source of the tracer rounds are coming from. Note that enemy tanks are often in the first person view to target enemies and shoot, so their field of vision is limited. The gunner's MG fire will only draw the enemy tank's attention to hone in on your tank, while your tank loses the first hit advantage. And, when your tank is in retreat with enemy AT units engaging you, it's important to not shoot at infantry unless it's a very high percentage kill for the aforementioned reason. To better illustrate why tank gunners' shots are typically a bad idea, here's a Battlefield Friends episode that highlights the general reason to shoot as conservatively as possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIe2Y-c-0FQ Notable exceptions: Teammates occupying gunner seats... as temporary transport to take you to a destination temporarily to use the tank as a mobile spawn point as housing for the dedicated engineer, who primarily repairs the tank who are in hull mounted weapons, since they make short blasts that don't give away the tank's position nearly as bad as the MG's tracer rounds who you know are very good gunners and do not shoot incessantly (I typically see this with platoon members) + Be aware of your surroundings - If the tank has taken damage and it's parked by a destroyed tank resupply station, get out of the tank and repair the station (unless someone else is there to do it). Also look all around for AT mines - both the gunner and the tanker are responsible to keep the pathways clear of mines. + Don't play top gunner - This may be a contentious idea, but most of the time, playing as top gunner is a very bad idea. You're a sitting duck most of the time and you're well exposed to everything from sniper fire to plane bombings. It's a quick and easy death sentence and arguably and IMHO it's the worst position in all of BFV. Even though the top MG gun absolutely shreds much like the stationary MG, it's not worth the trade-off. I'd also argue against playing the inside MG gunner position, because MG fire not only draws attention, it acts as a beam of light that allows enemy tanks, planes, other AT units to hone in on your tank's position. Notable Exceptions: No more ammo, no resupply station: when your tank (from the previous sector) runs out of all ammo at the last sector of Wake Island - as Defenders, I like to park my tank where it has a good vantage point and have the 2 gunner seats occupied. Hull-mounted weapons: some tanks have a spec upgrade that removes the top gunner and places the gunner inside the tank. The Sturmgeschütz IV's tier 2 remote controlled MG34 has an improved zoom and spotting capabilities, which are exceptional; however, the MG gunner must be keenly aware of enemy tanks and planes and not shoot when they're present. The Chi-Ha's hull-mounted cannon acts as an anti-tank weapon while not acting as a beam of light that calls attention to enemies as MG guns do. As a tanker... + Never EVER ditch your tank as a tanker - You go down with it or don't spawn in with a tank at all. You don't want the enemy to steal your tank, since that lost tank won't be available for your team until you destroy the stolen tank. It also won't become available again if it's left abandoned and hasn't self-exploded yet. This applies specifically to tankers, as opposed to gunners in the tank. + Be aware of the gunners - they don't necessarily see what you see. For instance, your front gunners don't have the third person view that you do and they may not see assaults coming in with AT weapons. It also doesn't help that your main turret doesn't swivel as quickly as in previous BF games. It may be more advantageous to have your front gunners to transition to the mounted MG above. See "Communicate enemy positions" above and get your gunners to focus on the respective targets. + Use tanks to tank damage - Don't camp on the sidelines while infantry get mowed down. The most capable unit against infantry is the tank, so it makes no sense not to push with it. Tank damage and let infantry follow you in. Notable Exception: In Outpost mode, tanks should be camped in a position overlooking multiple towers. The primary focus should always be the towers to prevent the enemy from scoring at all. + Retreat in reverse, not with your rear facing the enemy - The tank's frontal armor is the strongest. With that in mind, it only makes sense to reverse out of danger. Don't take the longer 180 degree turn and show your weak side to the enemy.Solved45KViews72likes70CommentsRussian player need help

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Reach level 50. What happens when the bug occurs? Brings in game progression to a screeching hault. What should be happening instead? Player should be rewarded 1000 company coins EVERYTIME they reach xp threshold after level 50. EA HELP chat representative said to post this here, because it is not on a known list of theirs.Solved7.1KViews65likes532CommentsTides of War missions not tracking progress - MEGA THREAD

Updated... I put this topic into part 1 and Part 2 in part 2 I will put a group of settings to use for the 20..RTX video cards. As well as programs to keep off a PC with settings to use to keep your FPS as high as they can be and your PC stable. The part 1 section is for the PC having a harder time with BFV with FPS... Part 1.. All of this was tested on Dx11 and Dx12 Last part only works on Dx11 it will work in Dx12 if you remove one line see below ... last part in part 1 ... Take note I am still pushing for more FPS to check back as I update this post. Never use a program like GForce experience to set up your video card it only make bad FPS and issues. By playing with your settings yourself you can get more FPS out of your games and your PC will be more stable. To be sure its not the game crashing your PC. It is very easy to blame the game and yes the game has issues still but it is best to rule out everything on your PC first. No question BFV is a CPU hog but BFV can be more stable if your PC is stable. To be sure windows is not the issue please try this to rule it out , I run this after every format once every driver is in and windows update is done it is normal to find a problem the first time you run it so please run it 2x with reboot between.. Test your windows for errors as a clean windows install does not always make a stable windows. NOTE: Running SFC does not guarantee the crash will not happen, but it will ensure it is not because a windows Dll or file is corrupted in windows. This works in all windows O/S vista Win7, Win8 , Win8.1 and win 10 windows system file checker :] Copy and past this to note pad and put it on your desktop. As open programs can give you errors when you run this. -For win7 go to start/ bottom left screen / windows globe .. Right click in search type cmd and right click cmd pick run as administrator. -For win 8.1 and win 10 right mouse click start bottom left of screen / windows box and pick command prompt administrator or Administer windows power shell. 1-Open administrator command prompt and close web pages and programs like Origin, Steam etc. 2-Type or copy and paste in sfc /scannow and hit enter, This takes 5 min to 15 min SSD vs HD 3-This can go one of a few ways ..... no errors ... it fixed some errors ..... could not fix all errors...... does not finish checking and errors out ....... and the last one could not fix errors at all :/ 4-After its done REBOOT PC and Run sfc /scannow again even if you had no errors the first time or had errors, could not fix run sfc /scannow again and when its done a second time reboot. You need to do this a and get no errors 2 x in a row ... 5-So if you ran it 2x and no errors your safe you can stop. If you had errors first time but not the second then run sfc /scannow again and when its done reboot. You need to get could not find any errors 2 x just to be safe. If it still finds errors try and run it a few more times until it finds no errors 2x AND ALWAYS REBOOT BETWEEN RUNNING sfc /scannow. 6- If windows scan keeps failing you should format :/ Regarding Over clocking .... I will never tell anyone to remove a OC on GPU, CPU or ram as long as it has been fully tested and fully stable. With my ram manual OC it was tested 12 hrs on one PC and 8hrs on another PC its fully stable on both PCs. With the new generation of ram you should not use mem test 86 as its not good for the new generation of ram. What I use is Karhu ram test and it turned out to be the best $15- ever spent for ram testing most errors are found very fast. https://www.karhusoftware.com/ramtest/ You can also use the free version of mem test 64 For me I did not like it but that's just me lol, you may love it and it is free https://www.techpowerup.com/memtest64/ Video card driver installs... Yes different video card drivers give different FPS in game as well as how you install them makes a difference how stable your PC is so to try and help more this is how I do my video card drivers in our PCs. And when I find a driver to give the best FPS keep a copy on your desktop so you have it if you need to go back to it .. Copy and past all of this to note pad and put it on your desktop... Try this and do all steps to get you PC cleaned up ...... Note = All the extra JUNK video card drivers install can and will make issues for many. And all the extra junk is just not needed for most people. This is how I do a clean graphic driver clean install......... 1- For NVIDIA go download your driver put it on your desk top. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us For AMD http://support.amd.com/en-us/download 2- Go download DDU ...Display Driver Uninstaller and unzip it on desktop... Read the page fully if you have never used this program and yes it must be done in safe mode for it to work ... https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html NOTE... If you have never used DDU then please read this link first.. https://windowsreport.com/display-driver-uninstaller-windows-10/ 3- Go download the free version of CC cleaner install it.. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner .... install it and clean your registry before you start the video card driver. 4 Once everything is downloaded and on your desktop then reboot your PC in safe mode... to get to safe mode type ... msconfig in run will bring up safe mode go to boot tab and check off safe boot Minimal hit apply and reboot PC. 5- Remove old video card driver in safe mode using DDU in safe mode 6- Once DDU is rebooting unplug your net so windows does not install a video card driver on you if you did not set in DDU settings. Once back in windows then install your video card driver but only install what I stated in step 7 7- When the time comes to install the video card driver you will be picking custom advanced you will only install two things from it for Nvidia cards 1- Graphics Driver 2- PhysX System and check off clean install with a 20XX RTX card you will check off a few more things but keep OFF... G-Force Experience and sound driver they are not needed for most people and G-Force Experience makes problems on a PC . For AMD card Advanced only check off display driver and catalyst control center as well as check off clean install. 8- When new video card driver is installed reboot your PC 9- Once rebooted use CC Cleaner to clean the registry, reboot PC and check the registry one last time for any issues. If it finds any repeat steps until it finds none. CC cleaner will give you the choice to back up or not and the first time you run it it is normal if it finds 80 + errors in the registry as every installed or uninstalled program will leave fragments behind in registry and CC Cleaner will clean this up. 10-Run windows scan again just to be safe I run this about once a week on all my rigs it can save you many a format. sfc /scannow and reboot PC and no open programs as they can give false errors. Once rebooted from windows scan then do step 11 11- Now to pull the most FPS out of your rig open NVIDIA Control Panel and under 3D settings .. Adjust image settings with Preview set it to use my preference and set it to performance and hit Apply. To see fps in game with no typing do this.... To see FPS in game with out fraps etc: 1- open note pad 2-put this in the note pad..... perfoverlay.drawfps 1 Perfoverlay.fpsdisplayscale 4 <<< this can change to 3 or 2 or 1 depending how big or small you want it. 4 is large. 3-when you make the user.cfg in notepad, change the file type from text to all. And name it user.cfg 4-Put in .....:\Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield 5 5-Also close Origin to put cfg in just to be safe :} 6-You will see your FPS in top right of screen when you start BFV NOTE... this works for BF1 as well74KViews64likes49CommentsPATCH 5.2 UNABLE TO FETCH YOUR REPORT

As from today unfortunately the could not fetch report issue is back in pvp games. Breakthrough, Conquest Just got a 3/3 . Info can be filled in later, just wanted to let you know [Edit 18-05-2021] The report issue has been solved I noticed. Be aware unlocks can take some rounds. Costs me 3 rounds and had to play with that type of gun. Perhaps EA can clarify, though play patiently and use different weapons while playing I guess.
