huge lag and stuttering while playing BFv
hi I'm playing BFV with my friends and over the past few days my game keep freezing and lagging while in the match. the stuttering remains for a few sec and while its happening FPS drops from 100 to 15 and game takes no input until I stop moving and wait a few sec. this keep happening randomly in different times. might be 10 sec , might be 2 min later. I tested this in both community and Dice servers. I asked around and a lot of my other friends have been experiencing the same problem. my ping stays the same throughout this experience. my pc is old (GTX1060 - i7-4970) but well within game requirements and i never had this problem before the recent updates. also my other friends with the same problem have very very better computers than me .(RTX-3060 or above) and still having the same problem so I know its not a problem with my PC. we are all lvl 500 and receive a lot of reports from the lower lvl players. ( i thought that to be the problem maybe) the only way we have found to fix this problem (sometimes works) is resetting the pc multiple times and trying to get back into the game each time to see if the problem still exist. pls fix this problem . thanksGenShepherd_19885 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer51Views3likes5CommentsThe game stutters any time I press a key
Using the keyboard causes the game to stutter. This never happened until a few days ago. Most keys are affected, some only cause a stutter on press, some on release, some on both press and release. This includes keys not bound to any actions in-game. Typing in chat is also affected. Even in the main menu pressing random keys produces stutters. Pressing keys whilst alt-tabbed out of the game (in borderless mode) does not produce stutters. Restarting the game seems to slightly change which keys are affected or by how much. Raw mouse inputs are not affected. This issue cropped up in the last few days despite absolutely no changes on my end, though on the 11th of this month I received updates for the EA Desktop launcher and the EA Javelin anti-cheat. When I played on the 10th this issue was definitely not present. I didn't play on the 11th and 12th but I still I launched the game to check some stuff in the main menu, and at the time for me this issue wasn't noticeable yet, if present at all. Considering the nature of the problem I suspect there is something wrong with the recent anti-cheat update. Judging by user reports found online, both on these forums here and elsewhere, the issue seems to affect all Battlefield games protected by Javelin (confirmed on Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, and Battlefield 6). I've tried disabling RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) as suggested by some people and it reduced the severity of the stutters, but it did not get rid of them. I've also tried to power through the stutters and play for a few rounds to see if the issue would go away on its own, and so far the answer seems to be no. By the way my CPU is not maxing out when playing and I have GBs of RAM to spare. As the title says i'm looking for logs. I have encountered the unacceptable configuration detected 115 error in BF5 (PC EA app version). And i would like to know if there are logs from ea anti-cheat to research the problem. I would like to know what configuration is unacceptable. Running windows 11 Pro (legit) Played without problems 2 weeks ago. Now suddenly gives me the error. As far as i know not running any illegal software. I have regular AMD radeon software (adrenaline). Does anyone know if there are logs and where to find them. I hope they will give some answers. I did al the stuff from the forums. Update (Edited: 06-08-2025): Even BF6's open beta loads fine on the same PC—just 50 seconds from clicking "Play" to reaching the main menu. Update (Edited: 30-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. Original Post: For EA Staff & Devs Bug Report ID: 6ad91d36-9f32-4e49-98f0-e1c42c510896 Help Case ID: #215668482 I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 Seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Ran both the EA App and BF5 with administrator privilege and in offline + clean boot. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date. Performed a reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; cleared DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" in-place upgrade. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. Cant join to any serwer. I have been unable to enter Battlefield 5 for two days. I have over 900 hours in the game and since yesterday I can't make any server. Nothing with my computer has changed since then, no changes, no updates. When I try to join the game I get a black screen including the bf5 logo on the corner and after about 30 seconds it goes back to the server interface screen. ( once i got error 0 ) Please help. After completing the Onslaught mission in War Stories, when it's done playing the game reloads and starts the cut scene all over again; ships firing, Spitfires flying in bombing and strafing, Mason & Bridger saying the cavalry showed up. Cut scene finishes, then game starts to reload as if it's going to the Nordly's mission, but then the same cut scene repeats, did this 3 times then I gave up and quit out of the game. Hello. I have an issue with the weapon mastery progression for the Madsen MG in Battlefield V (Support class). I completed Mastery I–V, and I have already unlocked the Gold Receiver and Gold Stock. However, the remaining gold parts (Gold Muzzle, Gold Barrel and Gold Magazine) are still locked. Earlier, the Madsen MG Mastery VI assignment appeared for me. I activated it and started progressing it. After restarting the game, the Mastery VI assignment completely disappeared. It is not in my active Assignments, it does not appear under Special Assignments, and only the Proficiency assignment for the Madsen MG is available. I have already tried removing all active Assignments, changing servers and regions, playing with another Support weapon (KE7) and completing its Mastery tasks, returning to the Madsen, making kills and finishing full rounds, restarting the game and the EA App. Nothing worked. Mastery VI never appears again. This means the mastery progression for the Madsen MG is stuck in a broken state on my account. Could you please help by either resetting the Mastery progression for the Madsen MG, so that Mastery VI becomes available again, or manually granting the missing gold parts (Gold Muzzle, Gold Barrel and Gold Magazine). Hello, I would like to provide an additional possible fix for BF V Javelins issue - failing to launch, which may help you in your case. I am running a Dell Latitude 5810, Xeon E5 2697v3, R9 390x. The errors were failure to start Javelin (7) (2), and invalid parameter for the service itself. What didn't help: Reinstalling Javelin Reinstalling BF V Reinstalling EA App Clearing Javelin installs manually Using the separate Javelin installer Changing any exploit protection or DEP settings Disabling Windows Defender Enabling Secure Boot Running anything as admin Changing security settings Cleaning services from registry Reinstalling GPU drivers What helped: Disabling TPM 1.2 in the BIOS. Yes, it seems that the anti cheat may fail to discern TPM 1.2 and 2.0, and attempts to use the invalid version, failing on startup. Amazing. So dice/ea pretty much have zero plan to do anything about the rampant cheating/aimbotting/wallhacking etc.... is that about right? Reporting does absolutely nothing ive been running into the same cheaters weeks/months on end. They've all been reported. There all still cheating away. EA claim they review the reports.. but these cheaters are blatant. Its crystal clear they are cheating and nothing happens to them. So obviously there is nobody reviewing anything. They are relying on software to do it and obviously these hack programs get around that. This tells you they just dont care. Probably because cheaters buy the games too and EA doesnt want to lose the revenue. Definitely don't waste your money on battlefield 6. When the Hell are you guys gonna deal with the CHeaters and Hackers in your servers. You seem to have given up on this game in that regards. They are ruining your game.
