Game Crashing [Info Requested]
Hard crashes in menu and had it crash in play now right on the intro. This has happened since last College football 25, I am on an Xbox Series X. [CM - updating thread title and tags for clarity and visibility] update- issue still exists but what worked for me was trading in Xbox Series X I had gotten last year for an Xbox Series S haven’t had any crashes personally could be something with certain years of Manufacturer of Xbox Series X’s causing the crashes, my old console last year on CFB25 crashed even after the supposed fix, I hope this helps for people not getting any traction from EA, I know it’s not ideal but my faith in an actual fix is probably lower than 0%.An Open Letter, re: NCAA Football 26
Dear EA, I'm writing this after my 35th+ attempt to complete a single game in NCAA Football 26. I've tried everything - different teams, game modes, saved files - and yet, every single time, the game crashes during gameplay. I am one of THOUSANDS experiencing this issue. For me, the pattern is consistent: the crash always occurs during a deadball situation - timeouts, between quarters, or after a play ends. Not once has it crashed mid-play. One time I was able to get deep into the third quarter, but I had to simulate the rest of the game just to avoid another crash. I’m convinced if I hadn’t simmed, it would’ve crashed again. In Year 2 of my offline Dynasty, after 19 attempts, I'm finally 1-0. 15 attempts later, and I'm still 1-0 because I cannot get through my second game of the season. Year 1 went completely smooth. During the offseason, I brought in 25 high school players and 10 transfers. As an invested fan of the game, I spent hours changing the names and gear of every single high school commit (I never touch attributes). Gameplay outside of the on-field experience has been solid, with no major issues. However, the core of the game is PLAYING THE GAME! And it's clear the gameplay is broken and no one is communicating any solution on how to fix it. Let me be very clear: I bought this game to play it, not sim my way through seasons. Right now, I physically cannot finish a game. EA_Kent and any other EA representatives: You owe the community a direct response. This is a widespread issue. I see others reporting it. And still - it's radio silence. It’s disrespectful to the loyal fans who waited over a decade for this franchise to return, to those of us who pre-ordered it before the 2026 release, and to those of us who spend their hard earned money on a product that they cannot enjoy. This matter deserves regular updates! This matter deserves information! This matter deserves an apology! And I even believe this matter deserves some type of compensation (gamer points, a discount towards a future purchase, something). Trust is broken with one of the most passionate fanbases in sports gaming and the lack of information and is incredibly frustrating. I'm not asking for the impossible. I'm asking for transparency, accountability, and a timeline for fixes. Acknowledge the issue. Communicate your progress. And please-don’t gaslight our community by pretending this isn’t a real and repeated problem. We paid full price for this game. At a minimum, we deserve the ability to play it. EA, fix this. CFB26 / EA Games Crashing
I'm making a fresh post as it seems EA_Kent , EA_Darko have stopped responding. Xbox Series X Gamertag & EA Account: Retropyro Game crashes to dashboard constantly. Now and then it will shut off the console. This only ever happens with EA made games, never any issue with Call of Duty, GTA V, Delta Force, Halo, Rainbow Six Siege etc. Xbox Series X. Fix attempts I have tried: Delete and reinstall the game Delete saved data Delete profile and readd Clear Alternate MAC Address Delete persistent save data Static IP (already done) Port forward DMZ Console cleaning (done by professional) Redo thermal paste (done by professional) Replace power cable Replace HDMI cable Use different profile Reset console Factory reset console Add external fan Remove expanded storage Move game to expanded storage Delete all games off internal storage except CFB 26 Turn off game capture Turn off auto updates All the above have failed. Looking to have the power supply replaced, but I don't want to spend the $125 to buy one only for it not even be the issue as the issue seems to be software. Would love to see some from EA fully acknowledge the issue. If it is something that is still being investigated, let us know. Give us a weekly update just to let us know. If you can't replicate the issue internally, I will gladly let you take my console for testing (so long as you send me one of yours to use while you test)Are we seriously going to lose another weekend?

Being a community manager means responding to the community even when the message may mean you get chewed out. We deserve transparency. Where are we on the fix? Unsurprisingly title update 2 doesn’t mention the main issue so many of us have with this game which is that it’s quite literally unplayable at the moment. There seems to be a serious issue in CFB 26 with some formations and plays not showing up with my custom created playbook when I go to use it in game. Sometimes only a few, out of all, the plays I’ve selected for a formation will show up, or entire formations will be missing from the playbook. I made sure I haven’t exceeded the allowed amount of formations, sets, plays in set or play count. Even when I go in and un-add then re-add certain plays they won’t show up. It’s gotten pretty frustrating when I’m trying to audible to a certain play or find one for a specific situation and it won’t show up when I know I’ve added it/set the audible for that play in the formation. In addition I can’t set my favorites because half of those plays won’t show up. I even went into my custom playbook and took out about 150 plays and 10 sets to see if over crowding the playbook was the issue and even with this, formations and plays wouldn’t show up. I’ve tried about everything possible at this point but it’s definitely a big issue affecting gameplay. EA_KentEA_Barry and to everyone at EA the time for “gathering information” is over. You know the problem. Dynasty mode is an unplayable experience for a LARGE number of players. This is not a new issue, it’s been happening since launch. I don’t know why transparency and ACTUALLY listening to your community is so hard for you guys at EA. 569 people have told you the issue about one of your FLAGSHIP MODES just on this post alone. This is not even accounting for the people on Twitter/X, Reddit and other platforms. Clearly this is a major problem. Meanwhile your lead dev is acting like he didn’t know there was a problem. With dynasty being one of the main modes of not the main mode you would think there would be some sense of urgency to fix it. i’m in my second season heading into the playoff and the game won’t allow me to spend any energy points on desperately needed health recovery. Tried starting game to “automatically apply points to health” but still started the game without any recovery applied. Currently heading into the semifinal looking like the glass bones guy from spongebob. I guess a tragic late season injury is part of my character arc?College football 26 issues
I would like to start by saying I am very pissed at this game. I wanted it to be everything ea marketed it as but it’s just not. There were some quality of life improvements and some graphic improvements but that’s where the positives of this game stops. The gameplay is extremely buggy and feels extremely numb. The CPU difficulty is OP and broken to say the least. You can have the best roster playing against the worst team in the country and still loose because the cpu is just that good at knowing everything you are doing and knows perfectly how to stop it. Blocking, tackling, and playing any sort of defense is garbage. Great offensive lineman are getting beat by sub par defensive ends to get straight to the running back/quarterback on nearly every play which is just really unrealistic. Tackling and playing the pass is so numb it makes me want to quit playing the game. The short version is that ea’s frostbite gameplay engine they used in this game need to be thrown out and replaced with something that actually works. Content creators get flawless gameplay while normal people get a really crappy game. I have been playing this game for about 3 to 4 days now and it has left me pissed beyond belief. Currently I have been experiencing a lot of gameplay crashes where I will be trying to kick a field goal and as soon as I initiate the kick nothing happens except the whole team just starts attacking each other and bugs out to where I have to restart the game. All in all very very disappointed in the game and pissed that ea has taken about 10 steps backwards in a game that was supposed to be so much better than last year. EA please do better!
Game crashes constantly
Game is crashing constantly. Xbox series X GT:PFunk81 Dynasty mode, ultimate team solo challenges, solo seasons, I haven't been able to complete a game that isn't a quick challenge. Crashes during the game more often than not. Stutters then black screen. Have done full console reset. Playing as Nebraska. Dont mess with my playbooks too much. Sending usage data turned on. Don't use team builder. Other EA football games crash on me but this the worst I've ever seen it.
NCAA 26 Dynasty Keeps Crashing After the Last Update.
HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. EA Sports PLEASE Do Something About This. MY Game is Unplayable in Dynasty at this point. I’ve Cleared the Cache; Reinstalled the Game and It’s STILL doing the SAME thing; after I’ve invested in purchasing the Bundle Package and been Rocking with EA Sports since college back in 1999. I have 2 dynasties that I am the owner of, I played just fine this morning. I logged back in this evening and both dynasties I own do not show up for me. the dynasty that I’m not the owner of shows up just fine. the dynasties still exist because other people are in them and can see them, even shows me in the dynasty (of course because I’m the owner). How do I get my dynasties to show back up? This is ridiculous.Teambuilder Dynasty crashing
When my first Teambuilder Dynasty kept crashing in Week 1 of the second season, I thought it was an issue with that dynasty being prior to the most recent patch updates. However, after grinding through another season (in a new dynasty) and getting excited about my team yet again, my game crashes right before I can celebrate a huge top 10 road win. “Maybe it’s a one off” I thought. Nope the game crashes over and over again. Now I’m left waiting for hopefully an update that will allow me to continue my Teambuilder dynasty instead of playing a cruel version of “Edge of tomorrow” repeating the same game only to never see the end of it. please help EA, Many thanks.
Team Builder Fixes
Please update the following issues with Team Builder: Imported logos that look fine in the teambuilder site appear compressed and repeated in-game. (This one is well-known, just including it here to build a comprehensive list.) A suggested work-around is to open the particular graphics using the built-in Adobe Express and make any kind of edit and re-save. This works, but requires the user to submit the team, recognize the graphics errors, go back to teambuilder, edit the graphics using the method above, re-submit the team, check again to see if it was resolved. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Super frustrating. The front bumper image import on helmet designs is ALWAYS off-center to the right (see attached). This problem existed in the 25 team builder, as well. Can't believe that hasn't already been corrected. Also, why is there no up/down and X/Y adjustment options for the front and back bumpers? Would be nice to be able to duplicate graphics on both jersey shoulders and on the hips of pants, rather than having to pay attention to the X/Y and up/down settings on one side to match. When duplicating primary helmet graphics, they do not line up symmetrically on both sides of the helmet. Typically, the one that duplicates on the left side of the helmet is positioned closer to the front than the original. This usually requires the need for two custom layers (one for each side). When using an imported team in-game, the splash screens feature a scrolling hashtag related to whichever team the user replaced. So my created Bulldogs, have a hashtag that says '#feartheturtle' when I replace Maryland in the Big 10.Continuous Crashing During Gameplay

Still nothing but silence? That’s pathetic. At this point it’s obvious — the EA mods either have no idea what they’re doing, or they just don’t give a **bleep**. Thousands of players are screaming about this across every platform — these forums, Reddit, X, probably even Facebook and Instagram — and somehow, you’re still pretending it’s not happening? This isn’t community management — it’s damage control without the damage control. You keep pushing the same useless, copy-paste PR garbage that helps no one and just pisses people off more. People are out here wiping their entire systems based on your non-answers, losing everything, all because you refuse to own the fact that this game shipped broken. And now the game director has the nerve to say he doesn’t even know about the issue? That’s not just clueless — that’s straight-up irresponsible. This bug has been spammed all over the internet for weeks. For the guy in charge to act like it’s news to him? That’s next-level incompetence. This whole situation is a disaster, and everyone involved should be absolutely embarrassed. You’ve turned what should’ve been a celebration into a circus — and not even the fun kind.
