CFB 26 Dynasty - Crashes mid game
Hello all, I'm on Xbox Series X. Played CFB 25 with no issue. I've tried all the ''fixes'' posted on this forum to no avail. Pre-ordered CFB 26 and played the first season of my Dynasty with no issue whatsoever (Team builder) The crashes started to occur in the first game of my 2nd season. Restarted the game 5 times but couldn't finish... The crashes always happen after a turnover, during quarter breaks or in between plays (never during live game action). Brings me straight to the Xbox main menu. No internet connectivity issue. I read somewhere that certain people were able to stop crashing by skipping one game and moving on to the next... and that technique worked! ... for a little while... After skipping game 1 I was able to go through my 2nd full season without a single crash... until I got to the College Football Playoff. At Penn State in the snow... playing at Heisman difficulty with a small school... Big moment for the program... And then the crashes started to happen again... same thing during quarter breaks, after turnovers or touchdowns in between plays. It gets disheartening to restart every time... And I'm actually getting to the point where I'm thinking of skipping that game entirely and just move on to the next season and hope for the best... But how can that be the solution to this? I've seen a lot of similar reports on this forum with very little response from EA... even certain forum complaints being listed as ''resolved'' when all the EA dev posted was a list of questions with no actual solution. Seeing the sheer volume of similar complaints that have gone through, it seems pretty clear that the issue is not on our end. I'm hoping we will get an update or fix soon... Prior to these issues, this has easily been one of the best sports games I've played... But now I'm starting to doubt whether a fix will ever be put in place. I have not seen these problems being publicly recognized by EA and no timetable has been put forward. I recognized how complicated fixing such an issue can be... I'm just hoping EA hears us. Starting a class action lawsuit — especially against a massive corporation like EA — is no small task, but it can be done if you have legitimate legal grounds. Here’s a no-BS breakdown of what’s needed and what you’re up against: 1. Legal Grounds (The “Why”) You need a clear legal claim. For EA and NCAA 26, potential claims could include: Breach of Warranty – they sold a product that doesn’t work as advertised. Violation of consumer protection statutes – like California’s Unfair Competition Law (EA is based in California). 2. Lead Plaintiff(s) You need at least one or a few people (like yourself) willing to serve as lead plaintiffs — basically the face of the lawsuit. This includes: Showing proof of purchase Describing the damages (time lost, game crashes, unplayable features, etc.) Willingness to be involved in the process (even minimally) 3. A Lawyer or Law Firm That Handles Class Actions You must have a class-action attorney. Find a firm that specializes in: Consumer protection Class action lawsuits Tech or gaming industry (bonus) Most offer free consultations and don’t charge unless they win (contingency-based). 4. Commonality (The “Class” Part) Your issue has to be widespread. You’re not suing for your own personal problem — you're representing a class of people affected in the same way. You’ll need: Forum threads Reddit posts Screenshots EA support responses Any mention from EA acknowledging the issue This helps prove it’s not just you, but potentially thousands of players. 5. Certification Before it becomes a full-blown class action, a court must certify the class, which requires: Enough people affected Similarity of the complaints Lead plaintiffs who fairly represent the class That a class action is the best legal route (rather than 10,000+ individual suits) This part is a legal hurdle, and where a lot of class actions die if not backed by a solid legal team. 6. Damages (The “What You Want”) You need to outline what the lawsuit is trying to get: Refunds Punitive damages (if fraud or deception is proven) Injunctions (forcing EA to fix the issue or stop selling it) Realistically, this often ends in a settlement where affected players get like $10-$50 — unless the case is egregious. 7. Filing the Suit If all the above is in place, the attorney will file the lawsuit in either: Federal court (most common for class actions, especially if it's across states) Or state court (if it’s based on a state law)Input lag and blocking AI
I've been having alot of issues when I'm the ball carrier or a defender when I use the right stick to make pass rush move or a juke my player just doesn't react. It's extremely frustrating as a defender when you try to get off a block and you can't. Also this is the worst blocking I've ever seen in a football game. I've lost count at how many times my blockers run right past the defenderCFB 26 crashes my console
EA this is absolutely tragic! I played CFB 25 and my game would crash half way through a game. Had my hopes up with CFB 26 and I have the same problem; my console crashes. We all pay $70+ and this is a constant issue. Very frustrating!! I love this game but it keeps crashing my Xbox. No other game does this, why…just why?!? It is embarrassing as a franchise that this is an issue. Please fix this or tell us how to prevent it. (Xbox S Series user)Game is still crashing
Last years game ( CF25 ) was doing the exact same thing CF26 is doing. It would crash to the dashboard every game. CF25 was fixed for me with a update. Probably around 2 weeks after it came out I think. It has never crashed again, I can start CF25 up right now and play for hours and hours and will not crash one time. WHATEVER WAS DONE TO CF25 LAST YEARS NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CF26 THIS YEAR. You fixed the same problem last year. What is taking so long to do it this year. This is crazy. Fix the crashing. Do what you all did last year, can't be that much different. i'm on xbox x series. I'm NOT playing online. Its happening in single player games. No other game I own crashes to the dashboard. None. Just CF26.This game has so much potential, but EA needs to fix it asap
not only is it crashing in dynasty but now also RTG which makes it completely unplayable. I have never seen a game so bad to where I cannot even load into an offline rtg game without it crashing. Yet we have 0 idea when it will be fixed. I will never pay for an EA game again if this is the new standard. Is there a solution coming?Game stuck on super sim
I’ve had this issue for a few days now. On my dynasty, I like to recruit and do all the other off the field stuff, and watch the games with slow super sim. Before the game, when the marching band plays, it gets stuck on the marching band sometimes, and I can’t press any buttons to get past it. I can see the band marching but it doesn’t stop. I have to shut the entire console down for it to reset. This has happened multiple times. There’s also been 2 different occasions where the same thing has happened. Before an extra point the game got stuck, and I could not press any buttons to get it unfrozen. I could see the fans moving, but it wouldn’t unfreeze until I shut down the console and had to play the game again. And this has happened before OT too. After the coin toss I could see the players wandering around , but it went on forever and there was nothing I could do about it. Please fix this EA, I’m begging you.“Concrete wall” in the middle of the field disrupting gameplay
Playing as Colorado St in my online dynasty vs BYU at home and this continues to happen for this specific game. I have never seen this happen before. I tried to change jersey colors and restart the game multiple times to see if the issue was fixed, and it’s still happening. The game is unplayable because you can’t see half the field due to this obstruction. The CPU offense throws to players on the other side of the “wall” and you have no idea where the ball is going due to the obstruction in the middle of the field. I just started a dynasty with a recruiter archetype coach, and the first abilities I bought were the advanced looks for every position group besides K/P to cut down on scouting cost. However, the only groups that seem to be giving me a discount are the offensive skill groups. OL and the entire defense still takes 50 hours per recruit to fully scout. This issue is making recruiting borderline impossible at a school with a budget of 500 hrs a week. Am I missing something or is this a bug that needs patching?GAME CRASHES OVER AND OVER AGAIN
this is the 3rd day in a row I can’t play a single game in dynasty on Playstation 5 without the game crashing .. Everything is updated on the game and system and it still crashes every single time .. i spent way to much money on the early release just for me to be able to play for 2 weeks and now I can’t do anything i’m so frustrated i was curious if anyone else keeps having these issues even with last years game and wanted to take legal action against EA sports, something drastic needs to happen, I can’t even get a refund for this game they need to be held accountable by law this timeGame freezes on “press any button” screen
I have been playing college football 26 since release without a problem, but for some reason the past 2 days whenever I try to open the game it gets stuck on the “Press any button” screen. I have tried restarting my PS5, deleting and reinstalling the game and restoring license. Please help!
Team Builder - Technical Issues (PS5 - Gameplay)
These issue is on a PS5 console - College Football 26: When watching/playing a game in "play now mode" between Buffalo Bulls (Home Team) vs Delaware Blue Hens (road team) with the settings event set to Rose Bowl in play now mode at a neutral site; Buffalo Bulls endzone is blue with their team information displayed (which is correct); however the Delaware Blue Hens endzone is red (which is incorrect). Delaware Blue Hens does not have any red colors in their uniform or school colors, this is clearly incorrect and the red endzone which is already the wrong colors for the Delaware Blue Hens does not display their name or schools information in the endzone. It's just a red generic blank endzone for Delaware Bule Hens. (Delaware Blue Hens Colors are blue, yellow and white). These same issues happen when using/selecting Missouri State Bears in "play now mode." The Missouri State Bears endzone is red instead of burgundy and it does not display the team/school's information in the endzone. Also, when attempting to replace those teams with Team Builder teams such as Montana Grizzlies (Road Team with burgundy/silver team colors) vs Montana State Bobcats (Home team with blue and gold team colors), I noticed that when watching/playing with these teams and all other team builder teams in "play now mode" at a neutral site such as the Rose Bowl, both the home team and the away team's endzone only displays "their school colors only" in both endzone and does not display either schools team name/information such as school name or logo's. Despite the schools information being displayed on the new EA scoreboard. Also, the Buffalo Bulls all blue uniforms displays a "yellow Nike check sign" when playing at a neutral site on their jersey which is incorrect. Buffalo Bulls football jersey should display a "white Nike check on their all blue football uniforms. My apologies for my frustration, but what is the point of creating your own team using the team builder's platform in College Football 26 to customize your team, logo's, roster's, gear and stadiums; only to have your hard work and time creating these detailed aspects disappear when you watch/play a neutral site games. I have also noticed about 20-30 other issues with this College Football 26 title, such as when watching a game in "play now mode" Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU tigers on 4th and 1 at the 38 yard line in the 1st quarter, Alabama decides to go for the first down by running a 2 wide receiver set with two running backs, and 1 tight end. LSU immediately drops to a prevent defense with only 4 down linemen to rush the quarterback and 7 defensive backs with no Linebackers in the box. This is not a realistic defense. No College football defense on any level on a 4th and 1 play would only rush 4 players and have no other players in the box to stop the run. This makes absolutely no sense. On another occasion, when watching Buffalo Bulls vs UTEP Miners in play now mode, I noticed when UTEP Miners called an audible on offense and switched the play where they ran trips to one side of the field and had no players on the other side of the football field, the Buffalo Bulls automatically shifted their CB, OLB, and Safety to that one side of the football field that had no players, no wide receivers, and no tight end to that side of the field. Essentially you had 3 Buffalo Bulls football players on defense take themselves completely out of the play because the 3 players where on one side of the field stacked in a line not guarding or rushing anyone. This is not how college football is meant to be displayed. These are unrealistic traits and no college football teams react this way on defense. These issues are destroying the enjoyment of College Football 2026. Can you please fix and patch these tedious offline issues in a timely manner. If not, in good conscious I will not be purchasing any future college football titles moving forward. Thank you!We just want a realistic timeline for crashing fix
Please give a realistic timeline for when the game crashing during every game is going to be fixed for console. Both Xbox and PS5 (tons of people) are reporting it. We know you’re gathering data. We want to know if a patch is coming today/tomorrow, etc. Everything worked fine until your first update. Just revert the patch. The game is literally 100% unplayable. Not unplayable from a “fun” point of view, but like it literally does NOT WORK at all. Please provide more detailed update on where we are in process.
