DAI: Unable to Connect to EA Servers to Activate...
I have been dealing with this disaster for a week now. I just got a new gaming laptop and installed the EA app to play my games on it. Dragon Age: Inquisition will NOT load. When I let the process sit for 5-10 minutes, this window pops up: My only option is to exit. As you can see, there is no log-in option here. There never is. If I don't wait for this to pop up, I have to force-quit the DAI process (which does load), then end the ActivationUI process (which is the crux of the issue) in order to even close the EA App. I've been searching all over the internet (these forums, general searches, YouTube), and I have tried every single "fix" that I found. None of them have worked. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, deleted folders and licenses, I've copied and pasted .dll files from one folder to another, I've forced specific DNS, I've prayed to the Cheese Wheel gods, and NOTHING IS WORKING. (And I do not have any Razer products, so that isn't it.) I've played this game for over a thousand hours between my gaming PC, and XBox, and this issue has never come up before. What's most discouraging is that I've seen this issue pop up many, many times with no solutions, even since the year the game was released! What is going on here? Why is there no fix for this? I am so beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to figure this out or bypass the ActivationUI altogether???ri_paige_voice18 hours agoNew Rookie200Views1like15Comments[DAI] camera flipping glitch when moving with mouse
while controlling the camera angle with a mouse, the camera will sometimes flip 180°. i’ve tried everything mentioned in some relevant EA forum threads, as well as whatever else i could think of: disable overlay (steam, discord, and nvidia for me) delete the “ProfileOptions_profile” file clean reinstall of the graphic and mouse drivers reduce camera movement speed/mouse sensitivity in game turn off “enhanced pointer precision” change graphic settings (texture quality and vsync etc) repair game via steam none fixes the problem. my pc isn’t connected to any controller at the moment. it has made exploration extremely tedious. to add more context, it didn’t happen in first playthrough, it only started halfway through my second playthrough. this issue persisted ever since across different saves. any suggestion on how to fix this problem will be appreciated:)itzfyl2 days agoSeasoned Novice138Views0likes9CommentsDragon Age Inquisition server connection error
I bought and played DA: Inquisition many years ago. I believe I was using Origin at the time. Two days ago, I decided to download it again. The pc I'm using has never before had the game installed on it. Every time I try to launch the game I get the following error (see attachment): We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate DragonAge: Inquistion - GOTY Edition on this computer using your account. Please try again later. I'm not using any mods. Other games launch just fine. Its not my firewall. I've cleared my registry. I've deleted the licenses folder's contents. I've reinstalled the game. I've rebooted. I've tried every suggestion I can find from others in old forums but I still get the same error.InjuredWizard3 days agoSeasoned Newcomer9Views0likes0Comments- 16Views0likes1Comment
[Xbox] Dragon Age Origins servers unavailable and cloud save issues
If you are getting this and you are puzzled how to start the game, don't worry. It's a 15 year old game which is trying to link to Dragon Age data pages which no longer exist on social.bioware.com, but don't worry, we can go around that. On the home page of the game, just 'press start' (start button) as you would normally do. It'll give you a warning that 'the Dragon Age servers are temporarily unavailable. Please try again.' What's happening is that it's trying to connect to no longer existing data within the social.bioware.com site. So don't try again later, it'll never happen. Just 'A' ok it and wait. The game will think about it and give you this message: And after a little while you should get the proper start screen so you can start to play: Hopefully that resolves things for many. However, some people will have issues with the game endlessly trying to download 'cloud saves'. There's a solution to that. You probably know that if you go into 'Manage game and add-ons' that you can delete local saves, but cloud saves can be a bit stubborn. If like me you played a load of Dragon Age Origins years ago there will be a pile of your save data clogged in the cloud of what used to be 'Xbox Live, but fortunately they can be deleted. You want to do a fresh playthrough ahead of playing Veilguard right? So start the game until you start getting the splash screens. Then press BOTH the 'back' and 'play' buttons (the little buttons either side of the big home/guide button). This opens up the Xbox Guide box (which it doesn't like me screenshotting). One option is 'Manage storage' which allows you to get rid of your cloud storage (assuming you don't want to access those years old saves) Deleting The Dragon Age Origins save should stop the game hanging when trying to find those old saves. The Xbox Guide box also has an option for you to log into your profile if the game is being fussy about logging you in.1.4KViews4likes2CommentsWar table bug
Hello, so I killed Corypheus and I started doing the descent and frostback bassin and at one point I unlocked new operations but when I went to the war table nothing appeared. I get regular operations but the ones where you have to use points are simply inexistent. Did that happened to anyone? Is there a way to fix it or force the operations to complete themselves? So for clarity - I own Dragon Age 2 (and the Black Emporium). But I do not think I actually purchased any other DLC's. For some reason, I thought EA was giving them for free via their DLC for old games site where you can download and install them, but when I do that, it mentions (Unauthorized). In theory - this makes sense if you are supposed to purchase them. So I have 2 questions: Does EA only give you the option to download/install the DLC, but you in fact still need proof of purchasing the DLC in order to play it? Are there any options for buying the DLC that don't include purchasing DA2: Ultimate Edition? (Which seems to be the only solution I've seen offered).Solvedyuag11 days agoSeasoned Newcomer93Views0likes3CommentsWeapon damage percentage calculated for skill damage when dual-wielding.
In many rogue's skills it says that the skill does % of weapon damage, how is the damage calculated, from the average from both main and off hand's sum or only main hand weapons damage ? Has anyone tested this ?Anonymous14 days ago639Views0likes2CommentsHow is total Prestige calculated in Dragon Age multiplayer
I have checked the FAQ and other sources and cannot find or fathom an answer. In DAI multiplayer you are allocated a total Prestige score (I am currently 258). How is that calculated? My Challenge Progress score total is 232, so I have 26 from somewhere else. I have 12 characters, 6 of whom I have promoted once. It's quite a mystery. EA CEO Says Dragon Age: The Veilguard Failed to 'Resonate With a Broad Audience,' Gamers Increasingly Want 'Shared-World Features'..... you know what doesn't "resonate" with fans of games you publish? micro transactions, loot boxes, p2w elements, rushed products, dumbed down features, poor writing for story driven games. I tried playing the game a few times, even went throught a few internet ask, but I'm not originally an english speaker and have a hard time identificating to said asks. So I launch the game, everything's fine, but then, when I finish creating my character and press "play", the game just... crash. No messages, no nothing, there's just suddenly no game on my screen and I'm face to face with my computer background... and it does that everytime only at that moment. I did install it on an USB hard drive, could the problem come from there?140Views0likes7Comments[EA app] Dragon Age Origins Save and Progress Reset
Hi, i used to play a lot of dragon age origin back in the days. I wanted to replay it, especially the end-game parts of it and well, turns out my whole progress is wiped out. EA shows me 0 hours in game even tho it had over 150h+ or so. My two completely finished game saves are gone. Achievements restarted. Everything is gone. I cannot get back to the game at all, cannot even re-play it as every 5 minutes the game crashes, has visual bugs and simply doesnt work. Im actually VERY mad that it disappeared. It was my childhood game and saves. Now they are all gone for no reason at all. I checked my onedrive, all bioware and game folders. The game just wiped out comepletly. Is there ANY chance to get them back?441Views1like2CommentsDA2 DLC Not Working
I purchased Dragon Age 2 Ultimate Edition off Steam back in the summer, when the annual Steam Summer Sale was going on. Ultimate Edition means that it came with all the DLCs, including the 3 extra story ones (The Exiled Prince, Mark of the Assassin, Legacy). I was prompted to make an EA account, did so, and then booted up the game. After logging in for a second time in the game, I checked the downloadable content tab. From the story DLC to the extra packs and trinkets, everything was said to be installed. I started the game, and didn’t focus on this aspect until I reached Act 2. Well, I have now hit a wall. None of the DLC seems to be available, no matter what I do. My home has none of the extra items mentioned, I cannot access the story DLCs. I’ve logged in and out of my account in the game, didn’t change a thing. EA’s proven to be absolutely 0 help, and I can’t even find a concrete answer online. So has anyone run into this problem and been able to fix it? I didn’t pay much for the game, but I’d still like my money’s worth considering I’m playing this game in order to experience the entire series.Solved87Views0likes1CommentTrespesser - End Companion Discussion Missing

As someone who still keeps their PlayStation 3 plugged in just to continue experiencing the masterpiece that is Dragon Age: Origins. The story, the characters, the choices, the world building everything about that game captured a level of depth and immersion that few modern titles can match. It’s not just nostalgia; it’s excellence. I truly believe there is a huge untapped opportunity in remastering Dragon Age: Origins and ideally Dragon Age II as well for modern platforms. Many fans myself included would gladly pay The Mass Effect Legendary Edition showed that there’s a strong demand and massive appreciation for respectful remasters of iconic BioWare titles. Why not do the same for Dragon Age? Not only that it would rake in so much money!Lizmira060929 days agoNewcomer33Views0likes0CommentsDAI RIP (for me, at least)
Some way, some how I am still having issues with trying to play Dragon Age Inquisition, now on my Series X. This whole delete profile, saves/cache didn't do it, going offline didn't help. Hello there. I have found a bug. I tried downloading Dragon Age: Origins on EA App, but it was unsuccessful due to the bug I captured in a cap and sent in an attachment below. I own the game, I would even pay for Ultimate Edition, but this feels weird. If anyone from EA support sees this, can this be solved? Thank you.GeneralMacek31 days agoRising Novice57Views0likes1CommentCan't launch Dragon Age: Inquisition through NVIDIA Geforce NOW cloud app.
Everytime I try to launch the game, it says it's failed. I got the game on Epic Games, which I then added to the EA App library (it's registered there) but can't launch it via NVIDIA Geforce NOW. I've made a separate post about this on THEIR forum, no response, though. They don't have an option to launch it only through Epic Games and I'd rather not get it again on Steam-.b88vq6h7hyl42 months agoRising Newcomer106Views0likes2CommentsGame I own not able to play after Gamepass subscription cancelled
I have owned Dragon Age Origins for years and after having Gamepass for a few months I can no longer access the game. I couldn't open it when it was installed, was advised to uninstall it by EA Help, this didn't fix it and the EA app now thinks I don't own the game. But the game is in my Library. I don't even have a purchase option in the EA Store because you can't buy games that are already on your account! Please fix this ASAP so I can access a game that I own.
