I have played EA NHL since 2002. NHL 26 is by far the toughest game, and that’s not necessarily a positive note. I’m 1-11 for online versus and I’m outshooting opponents nearly every game. Using the icon passing results in a turnover more times than not. It’s rare to score from the point. One timers are trash, so trash that the opponent messaged me saying “Idk how at least one of those didn’t go in.” It genuinely feels like there’s a spell on my account. 1-11 is not a starting record I ever had since 2002, until 2026 came around. Also, I can’t draw an intentional penalty to save my life. HUT? That’s pay to play for sure. I started playing 55 days after the release date and I knew it’d be tough, but if I’m doing skill based match making and they have 3 fwd lines with a 84 overall average? Yeah, they are putting real money into the game and it shows. Also, in HUT, i have never had McDavid on my team. That’s not by choice but because HUT has never blessed me with him. Even with zero energy, he still can deke around everyone and score like he has 100% energy. So, I’m still gonna play the game, but I just wanted to share my experience thus far. Any reason why NHL can’t update player profile pics like FIFA does?
I just don’t get what’s the actual problem with updating player headshots in NHL. It should be one of the simplest things to do — yet every year we’re stuck with outdated or missing photos for key players and top rookies. Meanwhile, FIFA (from the same publisher!) manages to update thousands of player photos in a single patch (last update edited/added 2000 photos). So why can’t NHL add or update even a few dozen? At this point, it honestly feels like the devs either don’t care or just don’t consider this important — which is really disappointing for those of us who notice these details and care about authenticity.Solved481Views1like24Comments
Feature: Add any for stickhandedness
Hi, Would there be a way to an ANY selection for stick handedness? This would be a very niche feature, but sometimes I don't mind having an off hand. Makes the game a bit more interesting with the randomness, like with picking D instead of picking RD or LD exclusive. NHL 26 Be A Pro starting directly in NHL season
Hi! I've been a regular NHL player since NHL 17 and I've always played the Be A Pro mode, starting directly in the NHL and choosing the team I wanted to play each year, but I've found that in this NHL it's not possible. In BaP mode (possibly other modes too), R3 triggers the fake shot without pressing LB at the same time. Anyone else seeing this? Sometimes I lean on the right stick fairly hard (so R3 gets clicked) when I'm about to shoot and I end up faking the shot and getting clobbered. I'm positive that I'm not holding LB since that would make no sense while taking a wrist shot. Can someone confirm this is happening? I don't want to have to remap buttons outside of the game to get around this. Trying to not click R3 while maneuvering for a shot is almost impossible (for me at least). Hello everyone, I play with everything off besides the player name under the players, but for some reason this year in NHL 26 I can’t find the toggle off for the red circle under the players , I’ve checked everywhere am I missing it? When playing Be A Pro in previous titles such as NHL25 you were always given a list of options when going into a game based on shift lengths, Quick(5m periods),Medium(10M), Real-Time(20M), or Custom(Allowed you to choose period length and would load custom gameplay slider settings) but Custom is missing in 26. The only roundabout way I have found to keep my preferred settings from game-to-game without having to set period length and sliders every time is if I avoid the "play next game" button and having to go through simming the first 20seconds of the game so it doesnt reset settings. So my question is, is the "Custom" period length button coming back? Is anyone else running into strange weekly growth issues with their player attributes in Be a Pro? I’ve noticed that some weeks I’ll get massive decreases (or random huge increases) in my stats. For example, out of nowhere I’ll lose like -70,000 XP on Skating, with almost every skating-related attribute dropping around -19,000 XP — suddenly everything’s in the low 70s. It seems to happen mostly with Skating and Physical. My Durability rating swings wildly too; sometimes it drops to around 60, then suddenly shoots back up to 99 when it gains another 50,000 XP. As a result, my overall rating keeps bouncing around — one week I’m in the low 60s, the next I’m mid-70s. This makes Be a Pro basically unplayable when you’re trying to stay in the NHL. Hi, For the next game, would it be possible to allow editing a loadout's name from the Loadouts screen? Currently, we have to load each loadout to edit the loadout name, which is a slow process, in both effort and game loading speed. Could editing loadout names be directly added to the Loadouts screen itself? Process would be: Navigate to the Loadouts screen Select a loadout that you want to rename Trigger the "Rename" function to rename that specific loadout It performs the loadout rename If possible, this would speed up that process tremendously.
