A letter to Apex banned players and EA

I have sent four letters to EA Japan, EA Shanghai, and EA America, and made dozens of online appeals. My online appeals were rejected twice, and my offline letter was rejected once. This has already cost me a considerable amount of money, And I had to send letters to my friends in Japan and the United States, which cost a lot of money. I also had to search for various tutorials for online appeal assistance, which has already delayed me for more than a month. Perhaps a month or so is not a big deal to the official side,

But for me, my work and personal life have been severely impacted over this past month. My boss was even considering firing me. What cheater would spend money on their account before cheating? This is truly absurd. The money I spent on my appeals could have bought another Apex Heirloom that I like.

 

I am aware that many cheaters on X and various forums claim they were wrongfully banned and beg EA to unban their accounts. These shameless people cannot provide any evidence. I have compiled all my evidence across more than ten pages and mailed everything to EA. Yet all I have received is repeated disappointment. I will not insult the officials just because they refuse to lift my ban, as that would serve no purpose for me. Still, I have a responsibility to my EA and Apex account. How could someone with a 0.8 KD and an average damage of 500 per match possibly be cheating?

 

I admit that between August 5th and August 7th, I logged in and made purchases on an unsafe public‑computer at an internet café. I did violate EA’s rules, resulting in abnormal IP shifts and account‑sharing‑related changes. I accept that I bear some responsibility for this. However, my account was permanently banned outright, with no prior warnings or temporary suspensions. No one cares more about my account than I do. I am not claiming I did nothing wrong; I am willing to honestly acknowledge my mistakes. The only charge I refuse to accept is cheating.

 

There are countless Apex players, and the game does not depend on me. I am neither a pro player nor a big streamer. I understand EA handles a huge volume of cases every single day. I have done everything within my power, yet what do I get? Endless waiting, repeated rejection emails, and constant blows to my mental state.

 

I still remember how joyful I was when I first started playing Apex back in 2021. Back then, I dreamed of becoming a top‑tier pro player, just like TSM, VKG and DF. I was still in school at the time. Later, I realized my talent had its limits; even reaching Diamond rank relied heavily on my teammates. After I started working, my gaming skills faded away. I left my hometown to work and earn money in another city. My salary is not high, and every penny I spent on this game came from my hard‑earned wages. I could not afford a separate computer, so I had no choice but to use internet cafés. I knew using unsafe devices put my account at risk of being banned. But I really wanted to join the Random Universal Heirloom event, so I took a chance. The outcome was a permanent ban, and I lost my account forever.

 

I still love Apex. Every time I come across an Apex‑related video, I pause for a moment. But as soon as I think about my banned account, I immediately swipe away. No one can truly understand how I feel, and I cannot fully empathize with other people who were wrongfully banned either. Only you can truly value your own account. I have fallen into despair.

 

Nevertheless, I still love you, Apex. Thank you for accompanying me through five years of my school‑age youth. Now I have to face my car loan and mortgage. Thank you for letting me play one of the greatest battle‑royale games in the world.
