Good internet / High Ping

Hello all,

I was really hoping I could get some insight on this issue I have been having for the last few days.

I got T-Mobile home internet going at my home about a week ago. At first all was working extremely well.

I went from 30 down 1 up and 50 ping on average to 29 average ping and 240 down and 40 up.

I went from not being able to stream at all to having every device in the home going while I stream at great quality.

About 3 days after install I started having unplayable issues. (sorry for being dramatic)

My internet is still going strong. 29 ping 260+ down and 30+ up the issue is now when I try to play Apex.

While my internet is showing all is well and T-Mobile says they have no issues on their end my servers to choose from have high ping.

I am in Ohio so I have plenty of servers around me but all of them that are "useable" have pings ranging from 50-100.

Then in game its like jumping around constantly from 70ms to about 300ms sometimes on high spikes. Stays around 80-100ms.

EA says everything is good on their end.

T-Mobile says everything is good on their end.

SOMETHING happened and I am just trying to grasp onto anything that will help.

I have attached pictures as well.

Thanks!

  • Had this problem for the longest time.

    Solution?
either pay for a VPN (which reduces your internet speed) or do what I did.

    Uninstall this (@*%

you'll get to that point eventually and I'm only here to check if they finally managed to solve this problem, clearly not lol.

So I know what is going on finally but I am trying to figure out a way to fix it. Turns out my home internet NAT type is set to strict instead of open.

Usually you can access the modem/router advanced setting through your browser but I have a T-Mobile Gateway, their new home internet option.

T-Mobile uses plug and play hardware with like 0 advanced options for me to work on. Currently waiting on them to call me back after they escalated the issue to their engineers.

Usually you can go into your router/modem and access the advanced settings and toggle on UPnP and boom done.

Other times you can just reset the modem/router. Not with the * Gateway. F.

What did you end up uninstalling? Apex?

  • @itsHydermy sollution to this was to give administrator in compatibiliy mode both on origin.exe but also r5apex.exe.

i believe the anticheat is causing this
