Xbox app linked to someone elses EA account
This is beyond **bleep**. So here is what happened: Got Xbox gamerpass. Long time ago, I went to install the Command and Conquer Remastered game, and so when I went to install, it had me download the EA app and it automatically logged me into some other persons EA account. How? I have no clue. Neither does EA. Neither does Microsoft. Fast forward many months later, still happening so I decide to do something about it. I had full control of this other persons account, so I contact EA and let them know whats going on, and I wanted this other person to have their account back. I assumed this would be the end of it. Fast forward a few more months (today), and same thing, Xbox is logging me into a different persons EA account. So I contact Microsoft, and let them know whats going on, and they swiftly tell me its an EA problem, nothing they can do. So I contact EA today, give them the whole story, they inform me its a Microsoft problem, they cant do anything about it. So after going round and round, they tell me to just unlink the Xbox account, but I keep telling them, there is no option to do so. There is no button to unlink, only buttons TO LINK other platforms. So they say "welp, nothing can be done. Try posting in the forum". So I did. And I cant imagine anyone here can do anything. Anyone else experience this? Super bizarre, but sure seems like it should be a simple "Oh, you got access to someone elses account, thats no good. Let me unlink that so you can just link your own account." But no, that would make too much sense. Thanks for listening...sikmusicfreak819 hours agoNewcomer16Views0likes0CommentsHello.

Hello, Dear EA I would like to ask if there is a possibility to add QR code when you are logging in like it is on Steam. We have times where almost everyone got QR Code scanners in their smartphones so you won't have to make an EA Mobile or something like that, when everyone have their phone numbers connected as well so you could maybe think or you are thinking about that maybe. It would be easier to login to application it would save everyone 20-30 seconds at least. Thank you for reading that. EA: When I as a parent go through the whole process of setting up an account for my child to play your games, I do not need a reminder or for you to disable my kid's account. Top that off, I sure as hell am not giving you my last 4 of my social and/or a credit card # to prove I am an adult. As a cyber security professional, I'll tell you right now that this type of information only gets passed when it's absolutely necessary. I know you will not care about my lonely self, complaining about privacy concerns to you and threatening to quit buying your products. But that's exactly what this has come down to. There used to be a day and age when PARENTS did the parenting, not the businesses we buy products from. Stay out of my parenting abilities and let me do my job. You do yours and I don't know, maybe make a game with original and new ideas instead of spitting out the same crap year in and year out and asking me to pay $60-70. Thanks, ~Pissed off Parent.WilyCoyote5623 days agoRising Newcomer13Views0likes0Comments[INFO] READ FIRST - What goes on the EA app forum's General Discussion board?
Welcome to the EA app forum's General Discussion board! Here, we chat about everything related to the EA app itself – its features, cool stuff, and even its quirks. Hey, everybody. I want to play BFH single player campaign, but I get an error when I start it: Your Xbox and EA Accounts don't match Your Xbox account is linked to a different EA Account than the one you're using on the EA app. Exit the EA app, then retry installing or launching an EA Play game from the Xbox app. For additional help, visit help.ea.com. Error code: EC:10300 Screenshot this error: Error video DEMO: I've been trying to fix it: 1) I cleared the BFH game cache 2) I cleared the EA APP cache 3) I rebooted my PC 4) I deleted the BFH game 5) I uninstalled EA APP 6) I rebooted my PC 7) I installed EA APP 8) I installed the BFH game 9) I rebooted my PC THIS DOES NOT HELP I have tried other ways to solve the problem including changing credentials. That didn't work. This problem only occurs with the BFH game. Other games, even BF:BC 2, start and work fine I contacted EA technical support, but they were no help at all. My case: 194253042 I have never linked an account with xbox or playstation. I have never had an xbox account, I have never owned an xbox game console. Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to use the EA app's advanced launch options to set the affinity for a game. I'm replaying Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, since the Veilguard just came out, and I'm having issues with the game freezing and crashing out. After a little digging, I determined that this is because I'm running on a multi-core system, and DA:O hates it. I manually changed the game's affinity in task manager, and it's running a lot more smoothly now but I have to do this every time I launch the game as the affinity is reset. I tried using a shortcut to change the affinity with a command line prompt, but because the launch is managed by the EA app, the shortcut doesn't work. I know that I can change the affinity of the EA app and this should change the affinity of Origins, but I'd like to be able to run my other games using multiple cores and not have to keep changing back and forth. Is there a way to use the Advanced Launch Options to set the affinity for the game, like I can use them to force the game to run in dx9? ThanksTrashyManikin4 months agoSeasoned Newcomer292Views0likes0CommentsWhy do some games on Steam require Origin/EA-App and some do not?
I was wondering what's the reasoning behind the fact taht you can buy some games like Dead Space Remake or Dragon Age Veilguard on Steam and are not required to use an additional launcher (Origin/EA-App). But other games, even some without multiplayer components like for example Mass Effect Legendary Edition, DO NEED to be connected to the EA Launcher which is necessary to launch the game. I'm looking into Mass Effect Legendary Edition in particular here. I'd like to buy it on Steam and play through the games again, but since the EA-App isn't the greatest (to put it very mildly) I don't want to deal with it when I buy the game on Steam. It seems very odd to have such a requirement that is obviously keeping some players away from buying the game (or other games with the same issue). And also: is there a chance this will get removed eventually so I'd be able to launch a title like MELE directly in Steam just like the Dead Space Remake? I know a CM probably can't answer this but I'd really like to get an answer from someone at EA. I'm personally interested in a "better solution" but I'm also interested in it from a business perspective because this requirement is hurting sales and doesn't make sense to me at all. I know quite a few people who are not buying any games on Steam that require a 3rd party launcher (not limited to EA) but they happily buy games that don't need one. And I'm just talking about laptop/desktop PC players - I'm sure people who use handhelds like Steam Deck and such are even more hesistant and avoid these kind of games that may not even launch on their handheld devices because of issues with 3rd party launchers.448Views0likes0CommentsEA payment currency is mistakenly Russian ruble (RUB)
Hello, I am writing from Azerbaijan. I would like to mention: 1. Azerbaijan is not in Russia. 2. Azerbaijan does not use Russian rubl. 3. Azerbaijan is in South Caucasus and sometimes in MENA region. 4. South Caucasus is a poor region, chosing a better pricing strategy would be nice. 5. Untill I see USD or AZN currency in the website you will have -1 user. Best regards, NikO_Qrbnv183Views1like0CommentsAdd Kazakhstan as an account region
Good day, dear EA Support and Community. As you may already know there are no such region as Kazakhstan in the list, so it is literally impossible for us, KZ citizens, to purchase in-game stuff such as Apex Coins, Battle Passes, etc. Instead our accounts are considered as Russian Federation users and when we try to buy something the pop-up window shows prices in Russian Rubles, which leads to unavailability of in-game purchases. Kazakhstan is a separate independent country with its own currency called Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT for short), interesting that we can pay in KZT if we are playing via Steam, but it makes no sense to restrict us from purchases if we want to use EA App. It would be so great if you considered to add Kazakhstan as an option so games can recognize players' regions correctly and not block buying stuff. Matter of fact the prices in KZT are higher than in USD which makes no sense since it's regional pricing system which should make them slightly lower if I'm not mistaken. For example, 1000 Apex Coins = $9.99 if you buy it in USA account, but it's ~$11 if I'm buying it via Steam in KZT (5000 KZT). I hope you will hear us and help us.271Views2likes0CommentsAutomatic Offline mode after disconnect?
I know that you can login while you are online and then go into offline mode voluntarily. But what if you login online and then have a disconnect? Does it go into offline mode automatically or does it kick you from the EA App? I don't want to try it myself but maybe you know how it works.261Views0likes0Comments
