EA App not launching after update – stuck on loading screen (Windows 11)
Hi EA community, I recently updated the EA App on my Windows 11 PC, and now it won’t fully launch. After opening, it just stays on the loading screen with the EA logo spinning indefinitely. I’ve already tried the following steps: Cleared the app cache Reinstalled the EA App Run as administrator Checked Windows firewall and antivirus settings None of these worked so far. The same issue happens even after restarting my system. Is anyone there? Appreciate any help or advice! jhonnmick
BF2042 Steam Discussions admin is a problem.
The reason why I write this hear on '' EA app General Discussion'' is because some users are spreading misinformation about '' EA Javelin Anticheat'' app. Admin Steam Profile : -snip- User creates a Topic on Battlefield 2042 Steam discussions with title: Steam needs to take actions https://steamcommunity.com/app/1517290/discussions/0/592900564311904549/ Saying : questionable updates, dangerous tweaks to vital computer components. Most likely (well definitely) he is referring to EA Javelin Anticheat requiring Secure Boot, since thats what most people reply with. (Its very obvious such statements as ‘’ dangerous tweaks to vital computer components’’ are TOTAL MISINFORMATION which is most likely hurting the sales and scares away new players. Theres 7k players playing the game daily , EA anticheat is tested well and it would be breaking news if it was actually damaging. ) Author of Topic and 2 users who support Authors misinfo dont even own the game Battlefield 2042. One user ‘’Messi No.1’’ points that out call them ‘’ clowns’’ . Steam Discussions Admin -snip- replies: ‘’ You do not NEED to own the game on steam in order to create or take part in discussions, If you're going to keep being rude and disrespectful towards others, I am more than happy to put you in time out. Your call.’’’ So the logic here is that we can write whatever we want about the game, including pretty heavy statements about EA app requirements such as ‘’dangerous tweaks to vital computer components’’ , however we cant call each other clowns, we get - a warning. Few years ago I posted about this admin and nothing was done. Well guy is active again. Whats interesting hes very active on ‘’ Ready or Not’’ forums, he basically lives there. So , please, take some action, this in unfair to the guys who developed EA Javelin Anticheat.✊ Admin edit : I removed the link to the Steam profile to avoid misunderstanding surrounding "naming and shaming" ~RtasI don't like this app.
I bought ME:LE on Steam. I want to play it but I heard the EA app was buggy, ate money, and had privacy concerns. I thought to myself: "That sounds right about in line with EA." So I used the Origin workaround for a while until you guys dropped Origin. Now I can't play Mass Effect without being taxed somehow. Even though I already bought the game. I just won't then. You took away Mass Effect just like you took away the studio that made it. I miss EA from the 90's. I wish you guys cared about people and not just money. You won't get any more from me. -Disappointed gamer
Disable EA Overlay through Config File or Windows Registry
I have added an EA Game to Steam as a Non-Steam-Game to play it with the Steam Overlay but I noticed that some games freeze on start when both the EA and Steam Overlay are active. Example for one game: STAR WARS Galaxy of Heroes. I can manually disable the EA Overlay through the app but this option is a global setting and not an individual game setting like it was in Origin. Is it possible that I can disable the EA Overlay through a certain config file or a certain entry in the Windows Registry(if available)? In that case I would run a batch script that disables the EA Overlay through that file or registry entry when I run an EA Game from Steam as a Non-Steam Game to avoid issues with the EA Overlay and reactivate it once the Non-Steam-Game is closed. If someone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated.Unable to purchase "as a gift" packs
I finally got my boyfriend into Sims so I wanted to buy him a few packs. We both play on Mac so I used the EA app and EA website searching for some way to gift him packs. I own every pack and I don't have any options for gifting. Someone please make this make sense. I included a picture of what I see from my end. I have been playing for years and clearly remember where the option used to be. Its just not anymore.
EA app on Steam Deck?
So, I am planning the transaction of a steam deck. I want it for a few reasons, but a main reason is Sims Legacy. I bought The 25th birthday bundle last week and I decided that I want to play it on the go. So I want to buy Valve's portable PC known as the Steam Deck, but is the EA app available on the Steam Deck? It is kinda where I bought the games.Money charged, get nothing
Hey, I bought a game Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Deluxe Edition inside the EA app, money charged but get nothing, and get status "Your payment failed. Make sure your payment method isn't expired and your info is entered correctly.". I've tried do the same on the site and it worked. But I didn't receive money back for failed transaction. How can I get my money back?payment options
We Egyptian gamers really appreciate your offers on Egypt's store , I even want to purchase on summer sale about 3 games from your store but there's a bit problem , we can't buy anything from international stores or subscribe in any service without credit card duo to some economic problems . It's rare to find someone has a credit card and if you made someone puy you a game , you ban the account. and we can't even purchase games with any debit card or virtual wallets the only way to purchase a game is having a credit card or go to someone online to buy it to you (it might be a scam and I know many happened this to them ) many gamers like me want to buy from your stores but we can't because of this so please make a local payment option .
Can expansions bought in Steam be used in Origin?
My daughter is playing Sims 4 on Origin and that's where she has her other expansions, but on steam there is an expansion she wants (cats and dogs) that is 60 percent off. If I buy that on steam can she play that expansion through origin? I looked online and some sites said it does work and some sites say they are separate islands and expansions purchased on steam won't work on Origin and vice versa. I do have my EA account linked to my Steam account. Thank you!
Help Moving from PlayStation Login to Full EA Account (for Sims4 on Mac)
I'm a parent managing my 10-year-old daughter’s gaming accounts through family/parental controls. She started playing Sims4 on a PS5 using the PlayStation login option. Now she’s switching to a Mac (M4), and we’ll be selling the PS5 soon. We’re now stuck because of one of two issues — solving either would let us move forward: EA App on Mac shows nothing When logging in via her PlayStation-linked account, the EA App on Mac is completely empty — no games, no store, nothing. Even after temporarily disabling all PlayStation parental controls, the app stays blank. Can’t “promote” her EA account We tried converting her PlayStation-linked EA account into a regular EA login tied to her email (keeping her current User ID, friends, etc.), but when we try to create a child account from my parent account, we get the error: "User ID already in use." We understand we'll need to repurchase Sims4 add-ons on the Mac (which is disappointing, EA), but right now, we just want to move forward in one of these two ways: Either fix the EA App so it works with her current login Or convert her PlayStation-based EA account into a full EA account Any help would be greatly appreciated — thank you!I cannot sign in when upgrading to a teen account.
When I open the ea app it pops up with a notification saying "Sign up for your teen account." So I click next and enter my email, then it says the email is already in use. It has a button to sign in so I click that and it takes me back to the same pop up with no way to sign into my original account. Any help would be great! Please and thank you. I have already tried to login on the website, which works but doesn't transfer to the actual app.
sims 4 add ons
I just got the bundle where you can choose a expansion pack, game pack and stuff pack. I chose what I wanted and I only got one of them and it was the game pack. I got charged from the bundle and save and it took my money, but I didn't receive the expansion pack or the stuff pack at all. I looked them up and it shows that they are not in my library and shows me that I need to buy them again. I really need help. Also I don't know how to add an screenshot.
administrator privileges
i just purchased need for speed from steam and i dowloaded the EA app to launch it but every time i press play it says ''this game requires administrator permission. do you want to grant access and launch the game'' i press ok and after that it says'' An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later'' to be honest i dont know whats wrong any help.
