Also, please make sure you're logged into Answers HQ with the same EA account you use on the EA app*. *Please note: We've noticed that many players are using the wrong EA account when logging into the EA app. Just a heads up, logging into the EA app works a bit differently than logging into Origin. Hello, I just bought Battlefield 4 premium on steam and when I launch it it opens the EA App and it tells me the following (check screenshot). I tried looking for a CD Key and steam doesnt provide one. I linked my steam account to EA and it doesnt work. I dont hv this problem with other EA games. ISSUE RESOLVED Hi everyone, **This thread is for reporting missing EA games/DLC bought via EA.com/EA app/Origin in the EA app library due to the current EA app service outage.** For missing/failing to start EA games bought via Steam/Epic, please go here. The main investigation thread is locked until the outage has been resolved. If you are experiencing this issue, please ensure the following: Verify that you are logging into the EA app with the correct EA account - the one that contains your games. After manually checking some of your reports (which we don't typically do via forums), we've noticed several instances of players reporting this problem with empty EA accounts. As such, please respond to this thread using your primary EA account (the one you believe your games are registered to). Check your Order History - Try to locate your games, if purchased through our EA.com website or the EA app (formerly Origin), on your Order History page (access it here). If you sign into your EA account on the Order History page, apply filters for All Status and All Timeframes, and still see nothing, you may be using the incorrect EA account. Do or did you have EA Play? - If you had EA Play and claimed games that are now missing or returning a "You don't have access" error, ensure that your EA Play subscription is active. Note that this error can also occur in the EA app if you are attempting to launch an EA game via Steam or Epic while logged into the EA app with the incorrect account (one not linked to your Steam or Epic persona). Hi everybody! Is there anyone experiencing issues with the EA app? I've been trying all night long to download/install The Sims 3 + Add-ons, but once the Sims 3 is installed, the add-ons won't installed; it keeps giving me this message '' something went wrong ''. So I am not sure what to do and what's going on. I even tried to open the Sims 3 by clicking on the icon on the desktop (since it's the only one that got installed), but it's telling me it won't works if I do not have Origin installed. So I am confuse since I thought Origin was no longer a thing... I'm not sure what to do; Sims 3 is downloading and installing from the EA app, but once I tried to open the game, it gave me the Origin message . And afterward, the add-ons won't install because '' something went wrong ''. Does anyone know what to do? Is it happening to someone else as well? All my games installed on EA (FC 24, Sims 4, Battlefield 1) don't launch and every time I try, I get the message saying: "An update is required to launch this game. Visit the Game Hub to begin your update." None of the games need an update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, booted in safe mode, clean boot, uninstalled and reinstalled games, cleared cache, app recovery, messed with clock settings, deleted windows paths. How do I bypass the EA App forced installation and access Origin to play games. I cannot open Origin. It is forcing to install the EA app that does not work! The EA app is broken. Purchased content shows as I don't own it. Missing expansion packs and add-ons that cost a LOT of $$$$ over the year!. Existing game files won't play. You can only re-start a new game file. Reinstalling does not work - attempts to install content says game needs to be updated. Repair did not update. Sadly, this issue can't be easily fixed on your end with tricks like performing an EA app Recovery or reinstalling the client, though these do seem to help some folks. It looks like this error is playing hide and seek, popping up sporadically for different players, and we totally get how frustrating it can be to deal with this regularly. We'll keep this post updated with any new info about the issue and let you know if we need more data for our investigation into this pesky problem that just won't quit. 🔍 Though, providing an EA app Error Reporter ID is always very much appreciated. Thanks for your patience and understanding! POTENTIAL WORKAROUND(S) If you're still experiencing the issue with the EA app not remembering your credentials, despite having ticked the "Keep me signed in" option, try the following steps: Log in to your EA account in your web browser: Click on THIS LINK to bring you directly to the right page. Alternatively, you can go to https://profile.ea.com & log in, followed by going to the "Security" section. Untrust the Affected PC: At the bottom of the Security page, find "Trusted Devices." Remove the trust for the affected PC. Log in to the EA app again: Upon your next login, you will be prompted for your Authentication Code if you have set up 2-factor authentication (which is strongly recommended). Click HERE to find out more. This should ensure that your password and credentials are saved for future logins. If you have not enabled 2-factor authentication, simply enter your user credentials, and they should be saved for future logins. This update seems to include a fix for the "The app crashed unexpectedly" or "Background Services Crashed" error on the Windows EA app. Make sure your EA app is up-to-date or check if an update is waiting to be installed. The EA app usually updates itself periodically during startup. This is true for both Windows and Mac. However, Windows users also have the option to manually update the client. I redeemed Anthem from a promo code that came with my graphics card a couple of years ago through the EA Origin application. When I was FORCED to switch to the EA App, the game could no longer launch. What happens when the bug occurs? When I click to launch the game, I get a pop-up telling me the game is launching with a progress bar. A few seconds later, another pop-up shows up that the says game failed to launch. The message is as follows: "Your game failed to launch: An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later." What do you expect to see? We are having this problem in February 2023 - with only the Pets and Into the Future Add-ons. SIms3 base game plus 9 other add-ons install correctly, just not Pets and Into the Future. We've been running circles with EA support who keep sending us stock emails of "try these troubleshooting steps" We've tried all the troubleshooting and then some. I can also replicate the exact problem on three different computers. 1) windows 10 Asus ROG desktop (previously played 300+ hours of Sims3) - Pets and Into the Future won't download 2) Windows 10 ASUS ROG laptop (newly rebuilt, no other software on it) - Pets and Into the Future won't download 3) Windows 11 AMD Ryzen desktop (purchased december 2022) - Pets and Into the Future won't download I really don't need any more troubleshooting steps. I need someone at EA to figure out what is stopping the downloads and fix it, figure out what server errors they are getting on their end, or provide us with a direct full installer download link. I suspect if we got the files into the directory then the EA client would be able to "repair" and link to them. (for reference we've tried on all three computers - uninstall/reinstall/disable firewall and UAC, change directories, rename directories, clean the registry, clean the AppData folder, manually create the folder, two different wifi network providers, save to a different hard drive, repair the ea app, run as administrator, log in as a different account on the computer etc. ) edited title for visibility. -puzzlezaddict12KViews19likes262Comments
