EA App asking UAC permission at game launch
EA app asks UAC permission/ Admin rights twice every time I need to lauch a game on Windows 11 (even if no update or new content is available... just wanting to launch EA app triggers the request) Specifically, from EALauncher.exe and EADesktop.exe I have set everything connected to EA App and the Sims 4 to run ad admin by default, but for some reason the prompts are still there. It's not possible for me to take screenshots of said issue either. This has happened for a very long time now, but it's starting to get very annoying
Unable to open on Mac
Today at around 11:30 (GMT/UTC+0) the EA app installed an update, and after it was done, attempting to open the app gave an error message stating that it was damaged, could not be opened, and should be moved to the bin. I have attempted to download a fresh installation, and the error message remains. Opening the 'get info' panel shows the version number as 13.387.0.5900. I am running macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
Sims4 packs error message
Hi there, I recently bought the Cat and Dogs, Cottage Living and Horse Ranch packs but none of them will download. It shows that I own them in the sims4 store but not in the EA app and when I try to download them it has the message "Requires The Sims 4 & all game updates. See minimum requirements for the pack." I have read through the pc and Mac answers but I don't know how to fix it. I've tried the terminal thing to locate them but I don't understand. Please help!
Allied Assault Warchest add ons
I had Origin & had the MOH Allied Assault Warchest which I was able to play the add ons easily...now I was forced to download the new EA APP & now cannot play the installed add ons - no play button or anything!! This is very frustrating. Why did you make people use something different, supposedly improved, when it's not improved at all. Totally ridiculous. Also, there are no answers anywhere unless you want to jump thru hoops. Does anyone have an answer worth a **bleep**!!! I've uninstalled & re-installed & still nothing. I am not a very happy EA customer right now.
Cant install ea app
I used to play sims with origin on my computer. I had to change the hard drive and now o cant install ea app. It say to upgrade to windows 7 x64 or better. I have windows 10 and is up to date.. I used to play on that same computer on windows 10 and it was fine..please help i dont understand

i keep getting the 3 squares in the upper corner of the game when trying to play it ranges from yellow to red i have been in touch with internet provider for it i have also been in touch with net gear for the cable modem i am also running gigga one inbternet my pc is more than adwquate to run this game but i keep getting packet loss with alot of lag
player pick pack bug
Hi EA Team, I am reporting I faced an important error when I played FC25 and I wish I can get my Toty Renard card back. The thing was I got this card from 88+ 4pick1 pack(120,000coins) yesterday around 11pm(GMT+8), However, the pick automatically locked into rare gold card(Endler) which I never locked in with square button. would you please check on this error? I can't install EA App
EA App used to be installed on my laptop, but I deleted it. Today I wanted to install it again, but unfortunately when I try to download it, a white window pops up and it does not load (It says that the EA app is not responding). I think it may be related to the fact that EA App is still installed in the application settings on my laptop, but when I want to uninstall it to do it again, I also get a message that it cannot be uninstalled. Please help
Download consistently fails at 0%
With the following error message: "There's a problem with your download Something went wrong with your download. Give us a few minutes, then try again." I have... cleared the cache re-installed the app sent an error report tried downloading to various locations, each of which had enough space remaining
Failed to launch game An error on our end caused the launch to fail.
For more than 6 weeks I've been attempting to troubleshoot why 1 EA game out of 5 gives me the "Failed to launch game An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later," error message every time I try to play. All other games accessed via the EA app launch just fine, only SimCity fails. The error messages occur as follows: 1. I login to my EA app, select SimCity, and click Play. 2. An error message pops up that reads, This game requires permissions This game requires administrative privileges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game? OK CLOSE 3. Selecting OK results in another error message pop-up that reads, Failed to launch game An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. OK I've done every single thing I can find to troubleshoot/resolve this issue, including every step listed on this page: https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/game-download-install-load-troubleshoot/ Everything is up-to-date, including the EA app, the game, and my operating system and graphics drivers. I've also followed a fix recommended by the chat advisor, which was to uninstall the EA app and delete the associated registry keys. Clean boot with all non-Microsoft services disabled doesn't resolve the issue. Clearing the cache doesn't resolve the issue. Uninstalling the game, the EA app, then reinstalling doesn't resolve the issue. Disabling antivirus and firewall doesn't work. Running the EA app or the SimCity executable as administrator doesn't resolve the issue, nor does running them in compatibility mode. Controlled folder access configuration changes don't resolve the issue. Whitelisting the game for controlled folder access doesn't resolve the problem. Repairing the game doesn't resolve the issue. I've done all possible fixes listed above multiple times over the course of 1 - 2 months. Nothing has worked, I keep getting the same error messages described above. I also attempted to get a refund for SimCity since I am no longer able to access the game that I paid for, but that option is also unavailable to me. Customer support chat claims to have, "exhausted their resources," and directed me here. The poor souls working this forum are doing their best with seemingly even less resources than chat agents. When will EA provide their support teams with the resources to support their products? Clearly this issue is far reaching and impacts a number of games. I know EA is poorly run with little respect for their customer base - I stopped purchasing games from them years ago for that reason - but what am I to do when my favorite gaming IPs from Maxis get bought up by EA years after I purchased them? If EA can't properly support the game they need to remove the requirement that it be launched via EA. If they can't do that they should provide refunds.
Main EA app window invisible
Hello, I've been having trouble with the EA app on my Macbook Pro (macOS Big Sur v11.1) because the main window is invisible. It was working fine until a few months ago and as far as I know I didn't change anything. The issue: The EA app opens and is (mostly) functional but the main window is invisible and unusable. There are no errors. The toolbar at the top of the screen and pop-ups are visible and functional (for logging in, going offline, etc). I have a shortcut for my Sims 4 game and when I click that it also runs. So I can play, but I cannot manage my games. What I've tried: - Putting the EA app in the trash bin and reinstalling it several times - Clearing the cache (help > app recovery) - Using all the window options from the EA app toolbar (like zoom, minimize, bring to front) - Changing the screen settings on my Macbook and even hooking up an extra screen to make sure the EA window wasn't moved off-screen somehow None of this fixed the issue and the app window stays invisible. It has updated several times since then but that didn't help. What can I do to get it to become visible again? Or should I file a bug report? How do I sign out of my "Steam EA" account on the Arch Linux platform that Steam uses? Since EA doesn't work on Linux and is "designed to break Linux" according to 3 different subreddits, how would I go about just signing out and back into my actual EA account? Maybe without using EA?
