Windows PC EA app not launching
EA App not starting on windows 10. Try to reinstall, but this doesn`t help, app not working, just nothing happens after clicking on app, and if i go in the task manager the only think that i see is EABackround Service CM edit: moved to correct board, edited some more detailed steps. To enable the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" option on Windows 10, follow these steps: Open Settings: Press `Windows + I` to open the Settings app. Navigate to Language Settings: Click on "Time & Language." In the left sidebar, select "Language." Open Administrative Language Settings: Scroll down and click on "Administrative language settings" under the "Related settings" section on the right side. Access Region Settings: In the Region window, go to the "Administrative" tab. Change System Locale: Click on the "Change system locale..." button. Enable Beta UTF-8 Option: In the "Region Settings" window, check the box next to "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support." Click "OK" to apply the changes. Restart Your Computer: You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. By following these steps, you will enable the UTF-8 support for worldwide language support on your Windows 10 system.

Try again a little later." How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Absolutely no idea ! What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, games won't launch either through the EA or the XBOX app, a prompt appears telling me: "Your game failed to launch An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later." What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to launch the games I'm paying to be able to play.. ‌ I'm at a total loss, spent the whole day looking for solutions online but not one of them works. Extremely frustrating - can someone please share some insight?

"THIS GAME IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE" OR "GAME OWNERSHIP DISABLED OR DELETED"
Yesterday i was playing my FIFA 23 without any problem. Today i log into EA app and i cannot find the game in my library. So i tried to launch it from my folder and got "Game ownership disabled or deleted" screen. So i downloaded FIFA 22 and when i tried to launch it, i got "This game is no longer downloadable or playable through the EA app" screen. And this screen appears on all of my games when i try to launch them.

"Something went wrong" Game Pass PC on trying to install EA Play game
I keep trying to install an EA play game from the xbox game pass pc app. Every time after I install the EA Desktop App as prompted, I will click install again and it always says "Something went wrong... To continue linking your EA account, head back and start over". I have uninstalled the EA desktop app and the xbox app at least half a dozen times, and I'm at my wits end. I've restarted my computer 4 times, but nothing works. Does anyone know why it keeps displaying this message and doing nothing? I can't find any other alternative, and it doesn't provide enough information to explain why it's not working.

I need to see the overlay when sending a friend invite. ‌ When my daughter plays Mass Effect 3 multiplayer she can't invite me because she doesn't get the overlay. The overlay option is turned on in the app before she launches the game and then immediately after she launches the game the overlay option is grayed out. Last night we tried to play multiplayer with another online friend who was just forced to the new app and she didn't have the overlay either and couldn't join my game. My computer seems fine and I do run discord with the game. I am the only one who can invite into games now because for some reason my overlay works.

Error code 20:403
I have tried several times to update Origin. I did both a basic reboot and booting in Mac's "safe mode." In safe mode, I clicked on origin, but the screen was off-kilter and looked like it would if my screen size was wrong. I managed to click the middle (update origin) but got the same error code. If I manage to wrangle myself around, I am able to load Sims 4 in offline mode.

Can't install EA Desktop APP
Hi, Recently I downloaded Sims 4 on steam and it required me to update the old Origin client to the "new EA Desktop app" to play it, but it simply fails to install, citing errorcode "INST-14-1603" whether I try to install it in a custom folder, or the default one. I've tried practically all the common fixes I could get my hands on with google but nothing seems to work on my end. The following is a non-exhaustive list of things I've already tried: -Remove Origin/EA Desktop app with any remaining folders or registry key I could find -completely remove any "visual studio redistributable" package (not just the 2 suggested in the fix posts). I followed this up with a reboot straight into DISM and SFC /scannow into another reboot once they finished and do a clean reinstall of the 2013 and the 2015-2022 Redistributable -I've tried to install it via the .msi file the "installer" it self downloads -I've tried to create a secondary windows user wit ha short, simple characters only user name and install with that -I've tried to completely disable all protection on my AV software Nothing seems to work. The official installer cites the above mentioned "INST-14-1603", the MSI installers run to practically 99.99% where all files and everything is in place, it's starting the background services, then promptly starts "rolling back" and delete the files and services saying "the setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error" and to try later. Any other suggestions what could I do to diagnose the issue further?

Unable to change game installation directory from EA desktop app

Also if i select a game to download and try to change the game installation directory from the game download menu, same thing happens, I am unable to select a new download directory and just get a blank popup. Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? either, within the ea desktop app go to settings->downloads and select "edit" on the download directory to try to change it.. another way to reproduce it is to select a game to download, within the popup there is an option to select game install directory. If you try to select a new directory to install this game into, you just get a blank popup. What happens when the bug occurs? instead of getting a popup to select a new drive directory so you can install/download new games into, you get a blank popup instead. What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to select a different drive and/or directory to be able to install my games into. ‌ after installing ea desktop app I am unable to change the game installation directory to another drive by going into settings->downloads. Also if i select a game to download and try to change the game installation directory from the game download menu, same thing happens, I am unable to select a new download/installation directory and just get a blank popup. I should be able to select a new drive and/or folder to install my games into. I keep my apps and games on a different drive than C drive so I have a 2nd, larger drive to which I install my games into (ex. D:/games/)

The name went from Origin Games to EA Games, so I could have parity with the internal drive. Instead now I am being forced to download games all over again, when I have them installed already. Hi. Whenever I launch the EA app I get a 'temporarily lost connection error'. I have tried turning my firewall off and adding it to the exceptions list as well as restarting my laptop, updating my drives and various WiFi and Ethernet connections but nothing seems to help. [CLOSED Jan. 2023] "You Don't Have Access" error in EA app for Steam/Epic Games
Tried to open Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order which I have been playing for months with no problem and all of a sudden it brings up EA with an error saying "You don't have access. This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again." Have tried restarting the app multiple times. Used app recovery. Even tried re-downloading the game which I'm afraid to do because I don't want to have to start over but even that won't work and gives me an "Unable to install" error. I even uninstalled EA app and reinstalled and still doesn't work. Any ideas?
