What happened in your game today?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X

Do you ever capture pictures from fun or awkward situations in your game? Often my sims will make me smile just because they did position weirdly, making a totally normal situation look funny. - Hello again, Hairdresser, I got a complaint! Your solution turned out to be unpractical. Are you sure I can't have a ponytail, without the horse?

The Grim Reaper is reaching out to you…but don’t be afraid to answer since it seems Grim wants your help. And the best part? You'll be rewarded for your efforts throughout the Event, with one being a brand new Lot Challenge,Scare Seeker, where Sims will get excited instead of scared while on the lot! How Does it Work? Open Live Mode with an existing or new Household. After a short wait, The Grim Reaper will call upon you! The Event will run for eight weeks, with two exciting Quests each week. Your journey begins by assisting Grim with researching Ambrosia, a special Gourmet dish that can lift any Sim’s spirits. As the weeks progress, you’ll continue to unlock the secrets of Ambrosia and eventually learn how to cook it! The more Quests you complete, the more Event Points and rewards you’ll earn. Make sure you’re online. Log in to your EA account. EnterLive Mode,and you’ll see the first pair of Quests, which start with a pop-up. The Sims 4's 10th Anniversary
The Sims 4's anniversary is coming up next month. For special dates, we used to get meaty new updates. This definitely petered out over the last few years, but you never know. The 10th anniversary is a big milestone, so maybe we might get a nice update? What do you think will be added into the game? And for the love of Torch, don't let the celebration include a login event scheme.

This has been a hilarious day. I've not laughed and gasped and been shocked like a prude and giggled like an evil maniac so much at the Sims in years -- and I've been playing since day 1 of Sims 1. This feels like a pack that respects that its player base is adult and has fun with that! I don't feel bogged down in chores and stressful 'tick lists' like with other packs (i.e. parenthood), my sim can be naughty, silly etc. seriously, I've been playing the pack since 10am, its 8pm. I have laughed so much my cheeks are red!!!Patches breaking more than they fix.
EA produces lots of video games. But it seems to me that the sims franchise is the only one that has so many issues, complaints, bugs, and needs constant patches. When EA releases patches to fix bugs and add content updates, they end up introducing new bugs. Then players have to wait for hotfixes and new patch updates. I mean, seriously, who wants to update their game when there is a looming possibility of it breaking after the patch? I've played games with bugs before. I mean, sometimes, depending on the bug. the player can take advantage of it during gameplay. Skyrim is an example of a game I've played, where people were making videos demonstrating how to use bugs to enhance gameplay. But to my knowledge, no one has ever mentioned finding a bug in the sims 4 that players could use to their advantage. For example, being able to buy groceries from the vendor stalls in henford for free or university students doing poorly on a presentation, but getting a good grade anyway, or a player selling items from the sim's inventory, but the item remains in the sim's inventory, and they keep selling the same item and getting free simoleons. Instead, there are lists and lists of bugs that break gameplay and then don't get fixed for years. Sometimes, modders release a fix (but not all players use mods) for bugs while players wait for EA to fix it. In the recent patch, EA fixed a bug introduced by discover university, where discovery quests were interrupting event progress. Discover university was released in 2019 and the bug is being fixed in 2024. I mean, how does EA take up to 5 years to fix bugs while wanting players to continue buying DLCs and updating their game (which usually results in new bugs being introduced)?
