Code Leaf/Net. Ruining my game.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some ongoing issues I’ve had with the Leaf error in Apex Legends and see if anyone has found more effective solutions. This error has affected me for about two years, but this season it’s become more frequent—sometimes 2-4 games in a row continuously over all my gameplay, usually at the start of a match or during mid-game. It’s especially challenging when playing ranked with friends, as it disrupts not just my game but also their experience, costing us matches and time.

 

Here’s what I’ve tried so far

Changing DNS settings.

Reinstalling the game. Twice

Clearing cache and rebuilding my console’s database as well as the other troubleshooting methods suggested by EA.

I use a wired connection and have changed internet providers twice as well as using my phone hotspot to make sure it's not my internet. 

Updating the game and system software and PlayStation software/licenses.

 

I also stopped getting lobby chat audio 99% of the time and can only talk to my friends in a party which is not great for when I solo. 

I’ve noticed these issues have been discussed by others in the community over the years, and I’m hoping there might be some newer or less obvious fixes I haven’t considered yet. Has anyone had success with different approaches or found settings tweaks that help? Or will EA organise themselves and fix the bug.
