VSA ping is suddenly through the roof
I show a ping of 22-24ms when I’m in the DR page, then I launch a VSA match and get saddled with 80-120ms. My guys are sluggish, knocking passes out of bounds, taking horrendous touches — totally out of sync. It’s not fun and it’s not even remotely competitive. What the heck is going on? I’m playing in the middle of the evening on a weekend in a region of California with a population of nearly 10 million within 100 miles. Yet all evidence suggests I’m being matched with someone halfway around the world and playing off a server on a different continent. Hi everyone, I'm posting here hoping someone in the community has dealt with this and found a solution, because I've been stuck for over 18 days and I've run out of things to try. The issue: when I launch FC 26 from EA App, Javelin Anticheat loads correctly, the game window opens to a black screen, and after about 10 seconds it closes by itself with no error message. EA App stays open in the background as if nothing happened. The game worked perfectly until late April, and I have over 200 hours of playtime on my account. I've already tried every standard troubleshooting step I could find: Repairing the game through EA App Fully uninstalling and reinstalling FC 26 Manually deleting C:\Program Files\EA\AC and reinstalling EA AntiCheat by launching FC 26 as administrator Reinstalling EA AntiCheat from the standalone installer Updating NVIDIA drivers to the latest version Trying older NVIDIA drivers Disabling NVIDIA App overlay and Discord overlay Closing all background apps Clearing Documents\EA SPORTS FC 26 entirely Disabling cloud saves in EA App settings Signing out and back in to the EA web/companion app Freeing up significant disk space on C: Running the full clean boot procedure with msconfig Creating a brand new Windows user profile and testing from there Installing/reinstalling Visual C++ Redistributables (x86 and x64) Checking environment variables for GAME_DATA_DIR Verifying Secure Boot status and TPM 2.0 Restarting properly multiple times Launching as administrator None of it made any difference. The behavior is identical every time. The interesting part: a friend logged into his EA account on my PC, and FC 26 launched and ran perfectly fine. Same hardware, same Windows, same drivers, same setup, only the account changed and the game worked. So this clearly isn't a hardware or local issue, it's something tied to my specific account. I'd also like to mention that this same exact issue is being reported by other users in another active thread on this forum, with very different hardware setups (one user has a 7800X3D + RTX 4090, mine is a Ryzen 5 4600 + RTX 3050), different countries, different configurations. The only common factor between us is that our specific accounts can't launch the game while other accounts can on the same machines. About that cross-account test: I want to mention that while it has been useful as a diagnostic, it's not really practical as a repeated suggestion for every new user reporting this. FC 26 is tied to whoever purchased it, so testing with another account requires another person who already owns and has installed the game, lives close enough to help, and is comfortable sharing their login. Sharing EA credentials is also against the Terms of Service, which makes it awkward to keep recommending. I performed this test once, it confirmed the account-side nature of the problem, and I think that should be enough. If anyone here has actually managed to resolve this specific issue (not just similar-sounding ones), please share what worked. Any lead is appreciated. The card stats look very impressive on paper, but in actual gameplay the AI performance does not seem to match the ratings. I noticed issues with positioning, reactions, decision-making, and overall in-game behavior compared to what the stats suggest. Because of this, the player feels less effective than expected. Could you please review the AI behavior and gameplay performance of this card to make sure it reflects the displayed attributes more accurately? Hello, I just started ultimate team a couple of days ago and whenever I tried to play online, I couldn’t find opponents in every online mode (Rush, Rival, any live events). I can play squad battles, and I can access the store. I tried changing matchmaking settings as instructed in some youtube videos and I also tried restarting the game itself, my PS5 and my router. After readying up for an FUT Champs game, I start to load the match and get stuck on an infinite loading screen. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for it to load and it didn't, forcing me to restart the game which gave me a DNF and a loss on my record. I tried loading another FUT Champs game and it happened again! Forcing me to restart, gave me a DNF and another loss. My connectivity is perfect idk what this issue is. I'm now sitting with a record of 0-2 without even playing a game. How do you do that first touch everyone talks about “into space” when you’re inside the box? I use alternate controls and I sprint by holding RB, so I’m a bit confused about the right inputs. I haven’t played in a while, but I remember watching tutorials about this kind of first touch that worked really well inside the penalty area, where you push the ball into space straight away to create room against the defender. I just can’t remember the exact buttons now: 1) what are the most effective first touches, and 2) which one is the most commonly used? Hi FC community, I’m running EA SPORTS FC 26 on a high‑end PC (Ryzen 9 7950X + RTX 4070Ti Super, 180Hz monitor). I tried forcing DirectX 11 with the launch parameter -dx11 in the EA app, but the game completely ignores this parameter — it always starts in DirectX 12. It worked before the last patch. With DX11, the game had almost zero input lag, but now with DX12 I experience significant input lag, even though FPS are stable and G‑Sync/driver settings are optimal. Everything else runs fine. Is anyone else on modern hardware seeing the same? Was DX11 intentionally disabled by EA? Can we get an option again to force DX11 — for competitive fairness? I’m having a persistent crash issue with EA SPORTS FC 26 and I’ve exhausted almost every troubleshooting step I can think of. Hi everyone — is anyone else having exactly these problems? When I bid on players, I keep getting kicked off the transfer market every 3–4 seconds, so I have to keep re-entering just to stay on it. Also, whenever I win a bid, it gets stuck saying I’ve won, but I can’t collect the player at all — it just shows “unavailable to connect to Ultimate Team servers, try again later”. This has been happening for weeks now. I’ve contacted EA support several times but haven’t got any real help or a proper fix. Now it’s even worse: I can’t sell any players either. Instead of acting as a reliable last line of defense, they have become an active liability on the pitch, entirely stripping the game of its competitive integrity and making defensive efforts completely pointless. Furthermore, the passing system has deteriorated to a level that completely defies logic and ruins the flow of match play. Manual inputs, direction, and power filtering are consistently overridden by flawed assistance algorithms, resulting in constant turnovers that are entirely out of the player's control. Accurate build-up play and strategic passing sequences have become a statistical impossibility, which entirely destroys the tactical depth and skill gap that should define the game. When core mechanics like passing and goalkeeping fail simultaneously, the game ceases to be an enjoyable piece of entertainment and instead becomes an exercise in sheer exasperation. The unpredictability and unfairness of these mechanical flaws do not reward user skill, which induces genuine anger and alienation across the player base. In its current state, this product is fundamentally unfit for purpose. The community cannot be expected to tolerate the current state of play when the foundational pillars of the experience are this severely compromised.
