In defense of NordHaven
There are some simmers who seem upset that the world is European and want an African world. I am not against wanting more non-western or European worlds. I also not against simmers who requested it.I feel like a few things get overlooked. The world is diverse. The last four worlds that were Sims 4 are as well. As in, they are worlds that we never have represented in Sims 4. Evan the American world ChestnutRidge was base on Arizona and a representative of a ranch culuture. That was not shown in Sims 4 before. The European worlds were based in Romania and the newer one is Nordhaven is base on Sweden.I think one thing that gets over look .Is that United States and Europe are big places. That has a lot places that underepersentated as well. Non-western worlds take time and effort.I feel like this gets overlook. But the sims team has to make sure to represent a world properly. They have to pick a pack that can fit that setting and won't overshadow the world. That also have gameplay and settings that represent the world properly. They have to do extensive reaseach.Especially if the continent and country is far way. That has different culuture.Horrorgirl69 minutes agoSeasoned Ace574Views10likes22CommentsWhat happened in your game today?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. Tl;dr version: If you built something on the lot where Magnolia Blossom used to be, be sure to check inside the house/building for him. I bulldozed Magnolia Blossom Park years ago and put a house on the lot. I only have a much smaller version of the park on another lot. So I wasn't sure if this step in the event would work correctly. I went to the lot where the park used to be and it registered me as being there, but I couldn't find Emit anywhere. Eventually it checked "introduce yourself to Emit" even though I still hadn't found him. But I got stuck for awhile at the next step where you are supposed to ask him about objects. As I hadn't actually talked to him, he wasn't in my list to call. My Sim spent several Sim hours just wandering around the area looking for him. I was about to post about it here to see if anyone else had the same problem, when it occurred to me he might be in the house I'd built on the lot. That's where he was, just chilling on their couch. Definitely a smack yourself in the forehead "duh" kind of moment. Edited to add that Magnolia Blossom is/was the center 64x64 lot in Willow Creek with a pathway and other park features around it in the world.LadyGray012 hours agoSeasoned Ace1.9KViews12likes28CommentsBlast From The Past Gameplay Thread (Week 2 Now Available)

While in a party spirit, don’t forget to get out on The ElectroDance Floor to dance the night away! Surprise Birthday Cake The ElectroDance Floor FAQ Do I need to log in to my EA account? A: Yes, by logging into your EA account, you save your Event progress and the rewards you earn from this Event to the account. That way, if you ever need to install The Sims 4 again, you simply need to log back in to gain access to your rewards! What about SDX releases, I thought those were provided free content and updates! A: Sims Delivery Express drops aren’t going away, but we're always looking for new and novel ways to deliver gameplay, as well as objects and clothing to add to your Sims' lives. You can still expect SDX releases throughout the year as well as new Events to engage with The Sims 4 throughout the seasons. What if I log in and don’t see the Event? A: The Event starts on 2/04 at 9 a.m. PST and ends on 3/18. Please make sure you are online and logged into your EA Account. If you still do not see it, you may need to restart The Sims 4 or disable any UI mods you have installed. The Blast from the Past Event will be available to players until 3/18. While no new quests will be added after 3/04, players can still complete quests and claim any event rewards that they've earned but not yet claimed from the Event Screen. Rewards must be claimed by 3/18 or be lost. Will this be available to Everyone? A: Yes! The Blast from the Past Event will be available to everyone starting February 4th, and you won’t need any Packs to participate. What are Event Points? A: Event Points are a limited-time measurement for the Blast from the Past Event that allows you to claim free rewards. As you earn Event Points, you progress along an experience track and can claim rewards along the way. How do I earn Event Points? A: Each Objective in a Quest gives Event Points. Mousing over the Quest will have a tooltip telling you how many points you will earn. Completing the entire Quest nets additional Event Points. Once you have enough, you can claim rewards. Do I have to spend Event Points? A: Your Event Points are a cumulative total. When you claim a reward, you still stay at the same Event Point total, so your Event Points aren’t actually “spent.” What happens if I have leftover Event Points? A: The Blast from the Past event offers a finite number of rewards. If you claim them all and still have Event Points, don’t worry! Your Event Points cannot be used for anything other than the Blast from the Past Event and will expire when the Event is over. Can I still complete the Event if I start late? A: Yes, the event will run for 6 weeks. If you start late, you will have access to all the previous week’s Quests. https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/news/blast-from-the-past-event-faq3.7KViews15likes109CommentsQuestion about Neighborhood Stories and Auto Age
I've asked chat GPT about this topic and I want to know if this is correct: Question: How do Neighborhood Stories behave if we disable aging for families that are not currently being played? Do Neighborhood Stories keep working? Will Sims still move, marry, change jobs, etc., without aging happening? Answer: Yes! If you disable aging for families that are not being played, Neighborhood Stories will continue to function normally. This means Sims will still be able to: ✅ Move to new lots or even leave the neighborhood. ✅ Get married to other Sims. ✅ Have children (through adoption or pregnancy, depending on the settings). ✅ Change jobs or even retire. ✅ Die from accidental causes (if this option is enabled in Neighborhood Stories). What does not happen in this case is natural aging. So, even if they start a family or advance in their careers, Sims will remain in the same age group until you decide to enable aging again or manually age them up. If you want more control, you can customize which Neighborhood Stories events you want to enable/disable in the menu: Manage Worlds > Neighborhood Stories. Question: If Sims have children, since there is no aging, will the pregnancy never result in birth? Or will the newborn be born and remain in that life stage forever? Answer: Great question! If aging is disabled for Sims that are not being played, pregnancy will still progress normally. In other words, a pregnant Sim will give birth after three days of pregnancy, regardless of the aging settings. However, the baby will not age up automatically because aging is disabled. This means they will remain in the newborn stage forever until you play with that family and manually age them up (by clicking on the crib and selecting the "Age Up" option) or change the aging settings. Are these statements correct?m_baldo5 hours agoSeasoned Adventurer59Views2likes2CommentsGiveaway: Businesses & Hobbies EP

what are your rankings on Businesses & Hobbies features?
1: new lot type 2: running a business 3: build/buy 4: personality traits 5: aspirations 6: tattoo's options 7: the world 8: CAS 9: hobbies/skills my top list is the new lot type because i've wanted this for a little while, i even made a post about this last year and created an another one last week and made an updated version of it and for me it's a dream coming true and here's the following one why the second one is also the best because i've always wanted to run a business in the sims 4 and earn money without looking for a job, another dream that's coming true to me, you won't have to go to work to earn money, instead you can do this in your own lot it's only beneath your home and what makes it even better is that you can own a business in its other packs, NOT just "Businesses & Hobbies" pack (like running a disco, do bowling, coffee shop, owning a pet shop, a bar and maybe i'll use skills from other packs from then own or even more so than i used to, the options are endless, maybe i can sell food even more so that comes with "Home Chef Hustle" pack, the options are endless) next up is build/buy mode because they looks quite different from the other packs in my opinion and it's literally my style too, i'm probably gonna use them once it's out the fourth place is the personalities, i don't know much what it will do yet but Shady Sims and idealist Sims are like the complete opposite from each other and i live for opposite personalities, i'm probably gonna use them once it's out the fifth rank are the aspirations, i like how it comes with aspirations since we really need it and based on the description on social media it looks promising to me but for now i rank it on the fifth place next up is lots of tattoo's options, i don't use tatto's at all but maybe with a new skill i'll change my mind about this, especially since we can create our own my seventh place is the new world...now don't get me wrong i love how it comes with a new world which isn't based on the USA instead it's based on Sweden and i live for non USA worlds but the world map looks so boring it's quite empty but when in live mode by so far it's not bad because i love the buildings and it's unique from other worlds (it does looks quite like Windenburg with a mix of San Sequoia when in map mode because in my opinion it looks quite alike, maybe it's differently when in live mode when the pack is out) for now i rank it quite low but europe is the reason it's not that extremely low so i can live with it my second last is the CAS one and it's simply because it's just not my style, i do love some items that comes with it though and some hairs looks like from the basegame or other packs but the worse one out of them all in my opinion is of course...hobbies/skills because i'd remove the tittle "hobbies" in the expansion pack alone, they could've gone with a better title like "Working Together" "Get To Business" "Get Busy" or "Work And Home" or something like that because there are really no hobbies in my opinion, the only skills we have is the candy, tattoo and pottery skills but i don't count these as skills but maybe it's just me these are all my opinions, maybe your features ranks we've seen so far that comes with the pack is different from mine (which i respect it) i've saw a topic with the positive side of the pack and the other with the negative side of the pack we've seen so far but i decided to do my rankings on how good or bad they are to me (i'm neutral with a world but the last 2 is just NOT my vibe, i like the rest of the rankings though) maybe my ranks will be different just like i did with the previous Expansion Pack called "Life And Death" i wasn't so sure about Ravenwood untill i tried it out myself and now i can't live without it so maybe it will be different with Nordhaven once i play them myselfsailorleontine11 hours agoSeasoned Ace59Views1like5CommentsHappy Valentine's Day 2025!

Yeah, I don't play much with ghosts but now I have changed my mind and embraced my Sims deaths (sort of, I still will release some of them) but as I do have a 2 or 4 gravestones/urns in my makeshift graveyard whose occupants have already been released and I want to put some of them into the new graveyard in Ravenloft (yes I know I can change it into a graveyard lot and I plan on) and I wondering if any of the gravestones in that graveyard has any ghosts attached to them? Because I don't see any names when I move the pointers over them but...I just want to make sure I don't delete any bodies gravestone. I am also curious about the Crypt of Eternity and its ability to hold urns and gravestones but I just like to know if the inventory will hold? And is the inventory exclusively to one crypt or do all the crypts share the inventory like f.i. bookcases? Btw, I really love the new expansion and although I won't be playing many ghosts I will definably keep some of them around.Stina1701A2 days agoSeasoned Ace24Views1like0CommentsThe screenshot spammers thread, v2.0

Console screens
So I've been watching a PC simmer streaming and I noticed how her main menu and loading screens are different than the ones I have. I'm just curious if us console simmers all still have the same bland screens or if we just get the short end of the stick? Cause those screens look amazing and I really hope we get them.LilithKitty2 days agoNew Rookie48Views1like1Comment
