It might be worth having a look here to start with:
https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/problems-playing-online/
Then: are you able to reset the password on the related EA account?
To do so, go to help.ea.com, then log out, and then log in using the relevant system portal (PS/Xbox/Switch/PC), then try a password reset. This may help to get this sorted without having to contact EA help.
This may not work, at which point you can contact EA help by:

If you need to speak with one of the chat support advisers you may need to play around with the contact subjects in your case setup. This got me to live chat.
You can contact EA live support at
https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/
Then to speak with a chat adviser choose the appropiate options:
Game or Service eg Origin
Platform eg PC
Topic eg Missing content
Issue eg had content and lost it
Recommended support option will be live chat.
Then you can choose to begin a live chat.
There may be some waiting time. When I try to log into Apex Legends, it says my account is not permitted to play online. My account has unrestricted access to all content, and Xbox doesn't require you to have Gold for online play. I can also, play Apex with every other account I have. Why can't I just play this game that my wife and I love.
So I'm trying to sign into Apex I had zero issues playing yesterday and it keeps saying this account is not allowed to play online and it gave me the option to hit retry and when it did finally go through it said zero servers found does anyone know how to fix this?
I cannot get past the home screen on Apex on Switch. It says “This profile is not permitted to play online.”
I have spoken to EA support and they said to post here because it’s a bug in the game.
I have tested another profile and the game works fine. I’ve changed the DNS settings and it made no difference. No issue with Nintendo membership.
I’ve seen another thread where others said the issue started happening when they changed the in-game settings to enable “convert incoming voice to text”. I enabled this too before the issue started. However unlike the other people in that thread, I can’t successfully click Retry to access the lobby in order to change the setting back. I’m just stuck on homepage.
Please help!
This is happening to me as well. It started over a week and a half ago. When loading into Apex it states:
This profile is not permitted to play online. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information.
The worst part is that playing on my brothers account works perfectly fine. And this is on the same Nintendo Switch.EA —— We need your Help
Hello,
Just today, I got onto Apex Legends via Steam and was instantly welcomed with the message of "Profile is not permitted to play online - Retry". I have to wait a few seconds to retry and then I am able to enter the lobby.
However, once I get into a game, I start crashing - typically when I am in the dropship and throughout the entire game. The game freezes, but I am able to look around for around 10-20 seconds, then I am booted back to the main menu screen. I instantly reconnect but I usually encounter the same exact problem every 30 seconds or so as it varies. The error codes I get are either code:net or code:wheel. I also get the code:net error if I sit in the lobby long enough. I have no ban history and even tried on a different EA account and had the same issue. This has been recurring the whole day, and have tried many fixes such as changing the DNS, restarting my PC and game, verifying game files, etc.
If it helps anyone -
The latest game update didn’t do anything to help the issue.
I decided to delete the game and redownload. After that, I was initially still getting the same error message, but after hitting Retry a bunch of times, it finally let me into the lobby and now I can play fine (some glitchy games but nothing out of the ordinary for Apex).
The setting ‘convert voice to text’ is still enabled.
i exactly do have the same problem
I am currently experiencing the same problem on my new series X.
my previous series X never had this issue, this console is brand new and it won’t allow me on the servers majority of the time, it’s all intermittently.
Once I finally get into a game it kicks me randomly throughout or freezes.
I have tried re-downloading and installing the game multiple times, checked and adjusted DNS settings, NAT type status is at open and I don’t have any previous BAN history through EA.
I’ve trouble shooted with xbox and reset my whole console hopping it would help, even created a new xbox account in hoping that maybe mine current one was the issue, but to no avail.
Has anyone had success on finding the route cause to the issue and rectifying it swiftly?
appreciate any assistance you can offer.

After moving to college, I am getting an error saying that my profile is not permitted to play online on the title screen before connecting to a server. However, if I spam, I can eventually get in. Then, my game will close out of nowhere with zero warning or notice. This is only specific to my campus wifi. It seems that a VPN might help, but I don't want to pay for one perpetually. When I use my phone hotspot, it seems to be fine. I've changed my MAC address (causing more problems), put in Google DNS, etc. What could be wrong?
