Add Online Functionality
The lack of online functionality behind Replanted's local features is very disappointing to many of us who have wished it for years. Given how we have three months until release, please consider adding it. Local play is not as common anymore compared to when PvZ 1's ports released, and online became the standard.defnotayoutuber5 months agoSeasoned Veteran3.5KViews191likes70CommentsOnline Support for VS & Co-op
I'm extremely hyped for this remaster but one thing that let me down a little is that VS mode & Co-op are relegated to local only as opposed to online. Is there any plans to eventually add online play as I'd love to play VS mode against online friendsLinkyTay5 months agoSeasoned Newcomer502Views23likes6Comments[PATCH NOTES] PVZ: Replanted: Patch v1.3.0
It’s been about a week since Replanted’s launch and we’ve been thrilled to see all the new and old strategies that have been blossoming on the lawn. Since then we’ve also been hard at work implementing the feedback that you’ve shared with us. Which is why we’re happy to announce that the classic and plantastic Dynamic Audio is now in the game with this update alongside more fixes and tweaks! This update goes live on 11/3 on PC with consoles to follow within a few days after. Dig into the details below: Audio: Added Dynamic Audio to the level music so it no longer always plays at the highest intensity version (perfect time for a blindfolded run) Minigame, Puzzle, Survival and Almanac menus now play the correct music instead of the previous menu's music Sound effects no longer overlap menu music at higher game speeds Added missing menu open SFX for Pause Menu Collecting Sun has a wider range of audio played General: [Vs Mode] Plant and Zombie tooltips now properly appear when using controllers during match selection Retro Zombies no longer unexpectedly jump or teleport ahead during movement (Dr. Zomboss got us good with this one) Disabling Vsync no longer impacts Mouse cursor speed Fixed plants showing incorrectly when collecting sun while dragging them to be placed with Touch inputs Dr. Zomboss no longer signs his notes with a comma after his name (We wonder if Tugboat was forging those notes for him) Various text string fixes Cards are hidden properly after Planterns are eaten in Vasebreaker Fixed various visual issues with Magnet-Shroom grabbing items Fixed a few Controller prompts showing incorrectly when not using controllers for input Flags now raise properly when reached on the Level Progress bar Fixed Conveyor Belt sizing to show all 10 slots Platform: SWITCH: Fixed GameShare via GameChat not detecting the current profile properly if it was not in the 1st profile position We are aware that Switch patches have been lagging behind other platforms and taking longer than expected to release. This is due to certification timelines and we intend to release them as soon as possible. To check your game version select the game icon in the main menu and press the plus button. The game version will be visible at the top of the screen, right under the game name. And just like every garden, there’s still some more work to be done. Patch V1.4.0 is close to being done which will add the ability to collect sun with the squeeze of a trigger on controllers and aim to get rid of some more pesky bugs among other things! Expect this patch to go live within the next two weeks with more details of the next patch being shared closer to its release. So stay tuned and once again, thanks for your support, feedback, and patience! Now let’s get back on the lawn and listen to those sweet tunes!EA_Leeuw2 months agoCommunity Manager10KViews16likes0CommentsAdd Version-Exclusive Content

Many plants in VS mode have different sun prices than in the main adventure mode in order to account for the difference in utility compared to single player. For example, coffee bean’s price was changed from 75 to 25 in order to better allow the plants team to implement mushroom-based defenses. However, I believe some of these adjusted sun prices in this mode are in need of further consideration and adjustment. For example, Repeater only costs 150 in this mode as opposed to its normal cost of 200, allowing the player on the plants team to get a decently powerful shooter for fairly cheap. Most zombies get melted by Repeater, especially when the plant is allowed to be spammed due to its lowered cost and fast recharge. Please consider either raising it to 175 or reverting it to its normal price of 200 sun; this will make its pricing more consistent with its actual worth in the mode and help prevent the zombie team from getting even their most well-thought-out strategies quickly annihilated. But as oppressive as Repeater may be, it cannot hold a candle to the plant that is far and away the most deserving of a price increase: the Doom-Shroom. Doom-Shroom is so insanely overpowered in VS mode that it is often the only unit on either side to be banned in competitive play. It allows for the plant team to wipe almost the entire board of zombies whenever needed, immediately putting the zombies at a huge disadvantage. Doom-Shroom retains its original price from adventure mode: 125 sun which is ludicrously low for its function, especially when the coffee bean needed to activate it costs far less now. The zombie team has to pay twice the combined price of Doom-Shroom and coffee bean for a flag zombie, who spawns a wave that can just get obliterated by Doom-Shroom anyways. Doom-Shroom leaves a crater that cannot be planted on after exploding, but this is nowhere near enough of a detriment to the plants to prevent it from being spammed. Its long recharge time is also not big enough of a disadvantage to prevent it from being used very frequently, as the plants player can simply stockpile them on the lawn and wait to wake them up with coffee bean. It is not hyperbole to say that Doom-Shroom’s price in vs mode should be doubled at a minimum, because using it almost always ensures a plant victory. I also believe that the craters it leaves should be changed to stay permanently on the lawn in vs mode, as this creates a better opportunity for strategic mid-late game counterplay for the zombies team after they survive a monumental setback from the explosive, as well as making Doom-Shroom a much bigger commitment from the plants player with real consequences for them if they use it at the wrong moment. There are other plants that should maybe also have their prices raised a smidge like Squash, due to it being a very dependable and cheap instakill plant with a faster recharge time than the others. Puff shroom allows for mind-numbing stalling tactics due to costing no sun at all, and even though you need a coffee bean to wake it up, you can still use its free sleeping version to stall zombies whenever needed. A price increase to just 25 sun in this mode would work wonders for this plant’s balance. VS mode is a very enjoyable mode but I and many others firmly believe that it would be even more fun if the plants had less easy routes to victory, and the zombies had a bit more of a fighting chance. The zombies are already fighting an uphill battle in this mode due to having a far smaller pool of options to select from as well as a smaller area of the lawn to work with, I think it’s only fair that some of the plants’ most spammable options were a bit more pricey to compensate. Again, this also allows both sides to create more nuanced strategies. Please take another look at some of these unit prices as well as others in the mode and consider adjusting them accordingly.511Views12likes10CommentsSteam Workshop Support (Request)
Hello! As of writing, there are many artists, programmers, and composers all dedicated to creating fan content ("mods") by adding their own code to the original 2009 release of PvZ1. I've been hoping that PvZ Replanted engages mods by adding Steam Workshop support for the game. This would allow mods to be more easily discovered and played, and hopefully keep the game alive for many years to come! (even after the development team has moved on to other projects) Without the development of new content (in the form of mods), people may not engage with the franchise as regularly, which is why I think adding steam workshop support would be healthy for PvZ Replanted's shelf life! Just for fun, I made a mockup of what this could look like!BobTheNerd104 months agoSeasoned Newcomer270Views11likes5CommentsPVZ: Replanted: Patch v1.4.0
Hey there, lawn legends! We hope you’ve been enjoying defending the lawn with the sweet tunes introduced in our last patch. Thanks to your invaluable feedback, we're rolling out another exciting new update that will leaf you smiling! This update features Steam Remote Play Together and new accessibility options, making lawn defense more inclusive. Essential gameplay fixes are also included, which you can dig into below. This update goes live on 11/18 on PC with consoles, including Switch, to follow within a few days after. New Features: [Steam] Remote Play Together is now supported! This Steam feature allows you to play our local multiplayer (Co-op and Vs.) with your friends online, as if you were in the same room. The same limitations of 2-player local multiplayer apply. Player 2 is required to use a controller Steam allows up to 4 people to connect to a Remote Play Together stream. We recommend limiting the enabled input devices (via the Steam Overlay Remote Play settings) to just allow 2 active players, as that is the maximum the game supports Please note also that this Steam feature relies on the host player's internet connection speed for game stream performance and stability Added Accessibility Features that can be toggled on via the Main Menu Options Menu: High Contrast Mode (high contrast visuals during gameplay to accommodate visual accessibility needs) Slow Speed (changes 1x speed to 0.5x game speed and reduces the faster speeds accordingly) Disable Screenshake (removes shaking effect on explosions and other areas) Added Sun Vacuum / Magnet function to the game Pressing Right Trigger/R2/ZR on Controllers or Spacebar on Keyboard activates the sun vacuum function, collecting all individual suns present in the level when activated. (Now you can spend more time on strategizing & execution instead of staring at the suns. Which we’ve heard isn’t good for your eyes) Added additional Keyboard Hotkeys Tab cycles game speed 1-0 number keys selects and deselects Seed Packets during gameplay Spacebar activates Sun Vacuum Gameplay Fixes: Added ability to open the Almanac from the Pause Menu Fixed Main Menu button not appearing on Reward Screen Optimizations made for Zombie memory management to improve performance on lower end devices, particularly in Survival Endless. Fixed Sol Invictus achievement not being awarded at exactly 2000 sun Fixed Gold Sunflower trophy not showing on the Main Menu for players who already had Nobel Peas Prize unlocked before an earlier fix for this issue Fixed issues with Life Well Lived achievement unlock conditions incorrectly tracking used lawnmowers Fixed Co-op Streak Counter and Trophy unlocks not showing correctly Vasebreaker and I, Zombie Minigames now have separate save slots Fixed Fog covering the Zombie preview during Seed Selection on Survival levels (We don’t like surprises on this lawn) Fixes for Endless modes not showing streak counter/flags completed properly Fixed Polevaulters being a little too effective at getting past lawnmowers in rare cases (Took a while, but we’ve shortened all the poles we could find) Fixed Mallet becoming unusable in certain situations during Vasebreaker levels Fixes for reported issues with Cob Cannon causing freezes in levels Fixes for various issues with Garden Tools and Zen Garden navigation Fixes for issues with plant selection and timer resets Zomboni now properly spawns Bobsled Team in Vs Mode. Many more minor optimizations, fixes and polish changes Audio / Visual Fixes: Reduced volume of the RIP Mode guitar riff (Dr. Z has been issued a sound complaint by the neighborhood watch) Fixed various audio and visual issues with the Almanac including Zombie Sprite Sheet using incorrect placeholder assets Fix for Plant/Zombie placement previews not being faded out when you can't afford to place them Marigolds now show their whole range of colours Fixed Dave forgetting to show you various items when he's talking about them (Dave got too excited, but he’s got enough practice now) Fixed Dave wandering a bit too far off-screen in certain aspect ratios (We’ve marked his spot with tape so he knows where to stand now) Fixed audio and visual issues with the Vs. Mode Target Zombies Fixed various visual states not showing correctly in Vs. Mode Fixed lawnmowers flying into position Fixed alternate lawnmower wheels going into overdrive Fixed Retro Zombie's Rubber Ducky appearance Fixed various Zombie layering issues Fixed Plant/Seed Packet outline inconsistencies Various Plant and Zombie animation, sfx and vfx fixes Fixes for minor Zen Garden visual issues Minor font sizing fixes Many more minor optimizations, fixes and polish changes Platform-Specific Fixes: [Switch] Fixed cases of Account Linking flow not functioning after re-enabling network connection We are aware that Switch patches have been lagging behind other platforms and taking longer than expected to release. This is due to certification timelines, and we intend to release them as soon as possible. To check your game version, select the game icon in the main menu and press the plus button. The game version will be visible at the top of the screen, right under the game name. Thanks for helping us nurture Replanted! With the holidays right around the corner, it's the perfect time to get back on the lawn. We can’t wait to see all your strategies, shenanigans, and stories!EA_Leeuw22 days agoCommunity Manager11KViews9likes0CommentsBug's I've noticed so far, + Some stuff i think should be added

Last Stand Endless + Last Stand From the Mobile versions, The Mobile versions had specific Last Stand Levels not present in the other versions of the game, and should be in this game to give players some more content More VS Maps, To make VS more interesting maybe add some missing maps like Pool, Fog, etc. Keeping the ability to type secrets like Mustache would be pretty sick R.I.P mode should have a denser zombie spawn to make the game more challenging to older players Cloudy day is amazing but it would be awesome if it were longer maybe 20ish levelsVixenFloof2 months agoSeasoned Novice227Views9likes7CommentsPlease Add Online Multiplayer to Plants vs Zombies: Replanted
Hello PopCap / EA Team, I'm very excited about Plants vs Zombies: Replanted, and I really appreciate the effort to bring back the charm of the original game with modern features like co-op and PvP. However, I (like many fans) don’t have someone to play with locally, so I’m kindly asking you to include online multiplayer in the game. This feature would allow so many players around the world to enjoy Replanted with friends, no matter where they are. It's 2025 — online co-op and PvP are must-have features, and it would make the game even more successful. Add Endless variants of the other Survival levels, as well as more achievements.
I believe this could be the best version of Plants vs. Zombies. But as it stands with the numerous bugs and lack of other features, we’re not quite there. A feature that should be added are Endless variants of Survival: Day, Night, Fog, and Roof. These are present in the unused minigames page you guys added from the original game. They should be added here. In addition, most or all of the achievements from the iPhone/iPad version of the game should also be added. There are I believe 47 in total. Console exclusive minigames like Buttered Popcorn, Last Stand Endless, Bomb All Together, etc should also be added.krmgnjnfzphx2 months agoSeasoned Newcomer115Views7likes4Comments🧈 Butter Together, ⛏️ Dig Together
Feature Request: Toggle for Shared Dig/Butter Actions In PvZ Replanted, dig up and butter are split between Player 1 and Player 2. That wasn’t part of the original Xbox version and feels awkward in co‑op. Please consider adding a toggle option so players can choose unified controls or the newer split style.CortinariusArch7 days agoNew Traveler57Views6likes3CommentsSurvival endless breaks
As I played through survival endless it would sometimes slow down for a few seconds like as if it were in slow motion. At flag 125 the game broke entirely, All the animations stopped and the plants stopped functioning entirely. The zombies however, did not. Despite their animations being froze, them not spawning anymore, and randomly changing speeds, the zombies that were already on the lawn ate through my plants. I could do nothing but watch as the pause button wouldn't function either and eventually they made their way to the lawnmower. It went off but didn't effect the zombies as they continued on into the house ending my run. Luckily the death screen functioned fine and I could return to the menu with my high score even being saved, basically the game functioned fine after that.gpaack7 days agoSeasoned Rookie76Views6likes4CommentsCan we get Plant Gift Boxes from the Mobile Version?
For those of us who are Trophy Hunters, we'd love for a way to make the grind for the "Enlightened" Trophy much more tolerable. The mobile version had the option to buy Gift Boxes that had random plants for your Zen Garden in them. If memory serves me correctly, you could spend a little for a box with a random plant (I think 10k), or 50k for a Gold Box with a plant that had never been in your collection. It would be great to have something to spend my million dollars on that I've accumulated in grinding away on Zombie Endless.😁 And thanks for making a great remaster!Schroeber7 days agoSeasoned Newcomer93Views6likes3CommentsSuggestion: repick button in survival endless
I find it hard to remember exactly what I picked last wave in survival endless, so I think it'd be neat to have either a button that reselects the plants you had automatically, or just have the new round seed bar already preselected from last round. What do you think, community?PrincessDoit8112 days agoSeasoned Traveler68Views6likes2CommentsSome ideas for replanted
Hello! I love the plants vs zombies franchise, and I just wanted to give some ideas for replanted. Firstly, the bonus levels is missing a level from the original game, which is "Bungie Blitz". It's pretty much adventure level 5-5 but with an additional flag. Second, could it be possible to have more cloudy day levels? What about cloudy night? Or cloudy day endless? I like the mode but I feel as if it ended too short, so more cloudy day levels would be cool to see. Next, the speed up feature is very useful, but I think it could go faster. 3x speed would be amazing for speedrunning. Then, I think more areas could go a long way with the game. I know replanted is trying to be like the original game, but imagine night roof or the secret china level in the achievements page. Finally, just ending off on a QoL feature but in the console versions of the original game, the zen garden had allowed you to freely select which garden you wanted to visit, whereas in replanted, you have to hit a button to cycle gardens. Normally this would be fine, but the tree of wisdom has a loading screen to go in and out of it, which can get annoying. I think free selecting our gardens would be a nice touch. Thanks for reading this, and I love the work you guys do!59Views6likes1CommentPlants vs. Zombies Replanted - Deep Dive Trailer
