Mission Creator Mode similar to GTA's Rockstar Editor
Users access a type of map editor mode, limited by a budget similar to the mission creation system in GTA Online. This feature would enable the placement of various assets that could either be acquired or assembled into a kit, which could then be saved as a blueprint for quick deployment or for creating additional missions. A mission settings page with multiple parameters such as game title, publication status, description, gravity settings, time of day, and the ability to adjust various assistance strengths. Players could specify the types of tricks they wish to showcase on the mission goals list, the menu could potentially display a catalog of tricks, allowing users to select and rearrange their choices to appear on the list according to their preferences. Additionally, the helper aspect could involve elements like checkpoints, speed boosts, and highlighted trick zones. This could be done maybe via warp projections or planar cube projection, which could be moved or resized to indicate areas where tricks count, or to modify the parameters for acceptable types of tricks as designated by the user. Once the user is done and ready to publish, it could allow them to place a mission marker down, and over time that could lead to a map full of markers. To fix that, a mission marker filter type for the map could be added, and user creations can be toggled off by default or made session-based. Then, an actual menu page that's global and serves as a creation browser with a search bar and rating system, etc. also some mouse and keyboard support for the map editor and quick drop building is kind of finicky on controller but some actual rotation and move gizmos would be nice.46Views0likes1CommentMap & Enviroment Fixes

Anybody else feel like this game could heavily improve on the transition skating ? Maybe like hit up on the D pad or L3 or R3 when your on or approaching a half pipe or a mini ramp and the you could switch to a whole new bag of tricks and style? Smooth grinds, and slides on coping as well as stalls. Especially when you drop back into the transition on a ramp. It’s clunky and not very enjoyable rn. I want to hit things with my board and punch pedestrians. Can we get some security with tasers please? It’ll add more of a challenge while adding a realistic feel to the culture of skateboarding. Npc in a uniform manning the hot dog carts/stands and Npcs waiting in line at them only like one or two obviously wouldn't want them too be blocking or messing with the players flow lol and maybe have some dialog aswell about them taking there order lol 😆 obviously add this when the game is in a good place not really a add now type of feature but maybe in the future lol ... Another thing that would be cool is if you made the water in game look better because at the moment it looks bland and dull also there's not really any big waves or medium or little waves hitting the breakwall/ seawall on the coastline & the beach area's aswell ... that are in the game which i would like too see because it would just add more life too the world also the water color could look better and the sea water could just be more choppy overall. Is anybody else entirely sick of people blocking optimal skate spots with piles of quick drop objects and rails and anything else they possibly can to keep you from enjoying the game? Quite frankly I'm sick of it. I would much rather close out the game and not play it than spend five minutes clearing crap others put in the way on purpose. I think that quick drop objects should be only useable by the person dropping it or their party. Otherwise I'd be perfectly okay with them removing the dang things from the game altogether. I’d say the game is a solid 6 out of 10 right now the game play itself is pretty fun and I like the operating system and layout and all that stuff. The mechanics are OK. It could use a lot more work with like the movement and stuff. The game seems very dialogue heavy and I swear like 95% of the characters in the game are female, which is like extremely unrealistic I don’t understand that, it’s like even the majority of the music in the game is sang by females. Is this like skate. feminist edition or its like this game was made by people have never skated before, but play Fortnite. It’s too bright vibrant, and colorful for it to be a realistic skating game it needs to be more dirty, grungy, and grimy. Have you ever been to a major city? It doesn’t look like that. also, the soundtrack is extremely cringe and it sounds like it was made by AI generated bands. I can’t tell you a single song on here that I know. Description Launching skate through Steam normally causes the game to enter exclusive fullscreen, display a solid white screen, and completely freeze the entire PC. I am forced to hard power off the PC to recover. - Screen turns solid white - Keyboard, mouse, and controller become unresponsive - System must be hard powered off to recover Workaround (only reliable method) Press Play in Steam, then immediately switch to another application. Keep that application focused while the game loads in the background. Switch back to skate. once it has fully loaded. Additional Issue When using the workaround above, some in-game settings do not save correctly and have to be reapplied every launch. Skaters, I think it would be absolutely sick if they somehow added a first person pov for skating in-game. Not just the camera for clips but SKATING IN FIRST PERSON! :) I think even if it was a little jank, harder to see, harder to use, it would create a skill gap for more hardcore realism skaters. I love big gaps and getting sweet air but I really enjoy creative trick lining in a more realistic kinda way. First Person would not only be a cool challenging and interesting new way to see and play the game, but I also think it would bring in tons of players from all over! Think about it. First Person pov makes it a whole new game, you can relearn the game from the correct perspective. Make it a choice obviously, but I truly think if EA made first person pov it would elevate skate. to better rival is predecessor, skate 3. It would outshine any skate game out, more than it already does! Please devs, this would be so awesome and I promise you would see nothing but players returning, and newbies joining JUST to try the new perspective. This entire time, it's been way to easy for people to troll the entire lobby by doing stuff like this. It's easy to get mad at the people who do it, and a report function is nice, though it wouldn't do anything in this particular case because you can't get close enough to these objects to find out who placed them (you go bouncing off of them). Really though, the responsibility is with the dev team that enables the trolling. The trolls are playing within the boundaries YOU set. There should have been an easily, quickly accessible switch to turn off all quick drop objects that aren't yours and/or your party's from the day this game released. It's been half a year now, and all we're getting is more creative trolling that's stopping more people from enjoying the game as intended. Even if the character modeling in this game aims a bit towards the unisex zone, it still feels very restricting when having to choose a body type. Essentially, there are four body types that cater more to the female body and four to the male, and it's just not enough. It makes it less enjoyable to skate in an avatar that you don't feel represented in. Adding at least four more body types, for each the "female" and "male" version, would be a great start. I'd specially like seeing more buff/athletic body types that cater to the female body; ones that aren't skinny by default, with broad shoulders, and with clearly visible abs.21Views0likes0CommentsFeedback on Translations (German & Others)
I've recently switched the game language to German just to see how things were translated — and I noticed that some of the localization in skate. (especially German, but also a few Spanish examples others mentioned) doesn’t always feel organic or natural. There are also a couple of minor mistakes. The translations technically work, but the tone or meaning sometimes shifts, and the phrasing can feel a bit... stiff. Example from my own profile English (original): “No trick in mind” German (current in-game): „Hat kein Lieblingstrick“ (has no favorite trick) German (more natural alternative): „Hab keinen Trick im Kopf“ „Keinen Trick parat“ „Gerade nix Konkretes“ These options match the casual, spontaneous tone much better — more like how people actually talk, and definitely more in line with skate culture. One example that caused real confusion: Manuals being labeled as grinds. This is a simple mistake, but it changes the meaning completely. Why this matters Not a huge issue overall, but smoother, more natural translations would make the game feel a lot more polished for international players.
