Reaper's Rewards: A Sims 4 Story
Reaper's Rewards Part 12: Fruits of Your Labor After getting dressed for the day, Lucifer looks over at his outdoors kitchenette. He spent a lot of hours honing his cooking skills. And many came to buy his desserts as well as his homemade pizzas. He thinks it would be nice to have a day of free food to offer all those that supported his cooking accomplishments. He will throw a party. He dismantles his kitchen and sets up a couple tables for food. He spends much of the morning cooking pizzas and desserts. Midafternoon, he calls those with whom he got numbers from and invites any passerby’s over. Lucifer was able to get a selfie with one of the ghosts. He was told to make sure to hit the bar later in the evening hours. As the gathering was coming to a close, Lucifer notices the Grim Reaper hanging around. He was near a plant he hadn’t seen or knew he planted before. The Grim Reaper explains how it is a special plant that was formed from all the scrap food that was put into the trash bin. As Lucifer is preparing to go to the bar he went to the other night and the Grim Reaper temporarily turned him into a ghost, the Grim Reaper waves their hand and a coffin appears. The Grim Reaper decides to take a nap and will wait for Lucifer’s return. At the bar, Lucifer notices there are a lot of ghosts around. He feels like his eyesight has changed in some way. One of the ghosts that was at his gathering that he took a picture with earlier that day as well as one who Lucifer met during the times his food stall was open is at the bar. Lucifer brought his homemade Ambrosia with him and decides to offer it to this ghost. Something begins happening to the ghost. The ghost turns back into his flesh form and is returned back to the living. Lucifer finds out his name is Kai Aether and he has a husband and son who are still living. Kai thanks Lucifer for giving him this opportunity to be with his family again. After midnight, Lucifer goes back to his greenhouse where the Grim Reaper said he would be waiting. Pleased with the decision Lucifer made about resurrecting Kai, the Grim Reaper offers Lucifer a special crystal he can put into a piece of jewelry to summon him wherever he may be. With this, the Grim Reaper vanishes. Walking past his greenhouse, Lucifer notices another freezer boney. This one was at the main entrance to the greenhouse, blocking the entry. It also glowed in the dark. Perhaps there is no use for the greenhouse for now but is still being protected. The little cow plant has now grown into a much larger one as Lucifer approaches it. There is a piece of cake planted on its tongue. Lucifer can only come to the conclusion that the cow is also congratulating him for all his work on helping a ghost come back to life. Lucifer accepts the piece of cake as gratitude. The End... Or is it?SolvedLegacySims20177 days agoSeasoned Hotshot30Views1like2CommentsReaper's Rewards: A Sims 4 Story
Reaper's Rewards Part 11: The Moment of Truth The next morning, Lucifer grabs the mail outside his greenhouse. The last edition of the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter arrives. It explains exactly how to cook Ambrosia. Lucifer wastes no time in trying his hand at cooking the Ambrosia. From the newsletter, Mimsy’s book, and talking to the Grim Reaper themself, Lucifer feels prepared. Lucifer is pleased with the end results. It looks just how it is from the newsletter. The outcome of the Ambrosia is to bring someone back to life. He’s met a few ghosts on his journey to creating this Ambrosia. From a ghost trying out one of his delicious treats he cooked up to the ghost vendor within the Magic Realm from Glimmerbrook. There is a strange noise coming from the greenhouse that grabs Lucifer’s attention. It sounds like a cow. Lucifer is curious as he’s not in the countryside. At the corner of his greenhouse, Lucifer spots a peculiar plant. It has a head shape of a cow, plus it also has leaves and it’s growing out of the ground. It looks harmless. Reaper's Rewards Part 10: Skilled Chef Luckily for Lucifer, the effects of being a ghost wore off after six hours. The next morning, he goes to check his mail and finds two pieces of mail waiting for him. Another edition of the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter and a Gardening book titled, “Getting Your Thumbs Green”. The Newsletter suggests the reader continue to work on their cooking. Ambrosia is not easy to make, and one must be an excellent cook. For this reason, Lucifer spends another full day of cooking. He also got himself a new shirt showcasing his admiration for the freezer bonies that he believes the Grim Reaper has been leaving behind to protect his greenhouse. Early evening hours, Lucifer opens his food stall. He made a bunch of cupcakes again. He tried some new flavors to see how well the locals would like them. One really took a liking to the red velvet cupcakes. As the sun is about to go down, Lucifer gets himself ready to leave for the rest of the evening. As he is about to take care of his plants one final time for the evening, another freezer boney has appeared with the rest of the group. This one has a plush look to it. Reaper's Rewards Part 9: An Inspiring Potion After buying the death flower from Morgyn, Lucifer is curious what other items came and are for sale within the Magic Realm. Both he and Morgyn return to Glimmerbook to the Magic Realm’s portal. Lucifer visits the shop he did before. The same ghost vendor is there. Lucifer asks about a potion of youth. That was also mentioned in Mimsy’s book. Luckily, the vendor had one for him to purchase. Lucifer stores it away for when he needs it. Afterwards, Lucifer heads to a bar located in another town. He is in the mood for a drink. The Grim Reaper happens to be behind the bar and offers Lucifer a special drink. After Lucifer takes a drink, he immediately turns into a ghost. Uh, oh! Reaper's Rewards Part 8: Death's Favorite Flower As evening arrives, the Grim Reaper makes another appearance to Lucifer. Lucifer is so close to the Ambrosia recipe and the Reaper suggests to Lucifer he do a little more research on his own. Lucifer wonders what more than can be besides the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter and the book he obtained that is authored by Mimsy and goes into detail a bit more. But he pulls out his phone in front of the Grim Reaper and looks for more information. One thing Lucifer found that he didn’t see or read from his other sources, is that plants understand when being talked to. They may not respond back with words, but they will communicate in other means. Perhaps asking his new spliced plants to grow orchids and pomegranates couldn’t hurt. This would have to wait as it’s late and dark. Lucifer wakes up the next morning. Something feels odd. Looking in the mirror, he takes a look at his arm and notices he has a tattoo. It looks to be the marking of the Grim Reaper. Heading out to his greenhouse, Lucifer almost steps on what looks to be a flower. A very colorful flower. Lucifer has this feeling to plant it. So, he changes out some of his flowers to make room for the one he just found. Afterwards, Lucifer starts talking to his plants. Especially the new flower he planted. Perhaps it will grow faster by doing so. And hopefully he’ll get that orchid and pomegranate from the others. Later in the day, Lucifer does more fishing. It was good for cooking. Plus, it was fun for him to see all the different types of fish he could catch. However, today he did not expect to catch a fish that looked like a bat. At first he thought it really was a bat. But it wasn’t. It was a batfish. Instead of having it as a meal, he mounts it and places it on the outside of his greenhouse. Lucifer did a lot of pie making throughout the day. Towards the evening hours, he opens his food stall to sell slices of the pies. Another good turnout. After cleanup from the pie slices he sold, Lucifer checks in one final time with his plants. He notices yet another freezer boney guarding the entrance to the greenhouse. This one looks more metallic. The next morning as Lucifer arrives to his greenhouse to attend his plants, there’s a package against his mailbox. Opening it up, it’s a painting. And he recognizes the person in the painting. It’s the author of the book he found lying next to his grim summoning contraption. It’s a painting of Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot. Later in the afternoon as Lucifer is working on his plants and trees, Morgyn stops by. He had visited before inquiring about Lucifer wanting an angelfish from the Magic Realm. Lucifer had explained what he was doing. Today, Morgyn arrives to share some good news for Lucifer. The shop in the Magic Realm has acquired a death flower. Rather than trying to sell it in the shop, he knew Lucifer was trying to create one from grafting other types of flowers. Morgyn tells Lucifer he will sell it for 1,300 simoleons. As much as Lucifer enjoyed planting and learning new things from it, he needed this death flower. He agrees to the price and buys it from Morgyn. Reaper's Rewards Part 7: Flirting with Death As Lucifer was about to head home from his greenhouse, he almost stumbles upon another little freezer boney outside the entrance. This one looked like a sugar skull. The Grim Reaper is definitely sending their little minions to protect the plants. As a new day dawns, another edition of the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter arrives in the mail for Lucifer. It encourages its readers to keep practicing on cooking. Lucifer decides to try out some new shoes he obtained. Lucifer continues to read Mimsy’s book, and she mentions about flirting with the Grim Reaper. Would this really help him and the Reaper’s quest on Ambrosia, Lucifer thought to himself. He thought he would give it a try. The Grim Reaper didn’t take kindly to that and yelled at Lucifer. Maybe it was a female thing and Mimsy knew what she was doing. However, for his efforts in trying, the Grim Reaper leaves Lucifer a gift as he departs. When the Reaper vanishes, a bike is in their place. Lucifer finds it intriguing and takes it out for a ride. Morgyn Embers from the Magic Realm stops by to visit Lucifer. He found out that Lucifer was in the Magic Realm looking for an angelfish and wants to inquire why. Lucifer explains about his quest for the Grim Reaper and Ambrosia. Morgyn offers his assistance, but Lucifer tells him he has what he is looking for. As the day moves forward, Lucifer continues to create sweets in his outdoors kitchen. This round he makes a few cakes. This includes chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and blue confetti. The strawberry cake is the first to sell out after he opens his food stall for the locals. Reaper's Rewards Part 6: Learning from the Lady In the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter, Lucifer finds out he can graft one of his lilies and snapdragons to create an orchid. He can also graft a pomegranate from an apple and cherry. It now made sense why he needed to do some planting. Lucifer notices a book sitting next to the contraption that summons the Grim Reaper. He knew that wasn’t there before. It’s a big brown book. The cover reads, “The Green Lady’s Lost Tome”. This intrigues Lucifer and he picks it up and opens the cover. Once thought lost in the Von Haunt Estate fire in 1898, this treatise contains the secrets to making Ambrosia and appears to have been authored by Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot herself. Reading from Mimsy’s book, Lucifer is feeling more confident in his cooking and fishing. Lucifer continues to make sweets and sell them to the locals. This round, he creates different flavored scones and macarons. The scones were a better seller than the macarons. Reaper's Rewards Part 5: The First Ingredient The next morning there’s another edition of the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter waiting for Lucifer in his mailbox. The newsletter states the first ingredient to create Ambrosia is an angelfish. He also notices he’ll need to plant more flowers and fruits. Not knowing exactly where to catch an angelfish, Lucifer calls upon the Grim Reaper through the contraption that had been provided to him. The Grim Reaper suggests checking out Casters Alley within Glimmerbrook’s Magic Realm if he can’t catch any locally. He also reminds Lucifer he did catch an angelfish in his prior fishing adventure but used it to cook a meal. After getting dressed, Lucifer goes out fishing near his greenhouse. He tries using bait on his fishing line this time. He uses previous fish he caught to try and catch new fish. He has no luck. Lucifer ponders fishing in a different town. He tries Willow Creek next. Lucifer fishes throughout the day but has no luck catching an angelfish. He does catch other new fish, including a kissing gourami and tambaqui. In the evening hours, Lucifer travels to Glimmerbrook. He seeks out the portal to the Magic Realm that will lead him to Casters Alley. Unfortunately, the vendor was out of stock for angelfish. It was curiously odd to Lucifer that the vendor was a ghost herself. He would have to try again the next day. Lucifer gets up bright and early the next morning to fish for the angelfish. This time, he has much better luck. To Be Continued...SolvedLegacySims201725 days agoSeasoned Hotshot80Views2likes2CommentsHansel and Gretel: A Sims 4 Story

Reaper's Rewards Part 4: Friends with Death After fertilizing his plants, Lucifer could sense something eerie. He has an eldritch excitement and feels like having a ghoulishly good time. Lucifer notices the mail carrier has dropped off mail in his mailbox, so he goes to check to see what is sent to him this time. It’s another edition of the “Ambrosia Society” Newsletter. This talks about where to find Lilies and Snapdragon’s. He’s already growing them on his own, so he won’t need to go to Willow Creek to find any. Still confused as to why he is making Ambrosia, he uses the contraption he found in his greenhouse awhile back to summon the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper avoids talking about Ambrosia and mostly talks about Lucifer’s cooking. Mainly the cupcakes. Later in the day, Lucifer decides to go ahead and make more cupcakes. When he got dressed for the day, he decided to try on some new pants he received as a gift. They didn’t go well with any of his suits, but he did find another dress shirt to go with it. It doesn’t take much for Lucifer to draw a crowd around his food stand with his cupcakes. Many of his previous customers come back, even the ghost that tried one of his cupcakes before. It was nice seeing new customers as well. Even an astronaut stopped by his stand to try out his tasty treats. The Grim Reaper makes an appearance as he too has to try the cupcakes. He did mention earlier in the day about them to Lucifer. I think he had to try one for himself. Lucifer ends up selling 20 cupcakes this time around. In the evening hours, Lucifer made his way back to the greenhouse to take a cutting from his flowers per the guidance of the book he had been reading. Upon arrival, he notices another freezer boney at the entrance to his greenhouse. This one has a galaxy look to it compared to the other one. Lucifer makes his way inside. His flowers are perfect. He takes a cutting of the snapdragon before heading off to bed for the evening. Reaper's Rewards Part 3: Digging Holes Lucifer heads back to his greenhouse. Per the suggestion of the spirit in the crystal ball, he buys a starter fruit seed packet and plants the apple, cherry, and strawberry that were inside. All the planting has exhausted Lucifer. All of a sudden, the Grim Reaper appears and hands him a drink. After drinking the whole glass, Lucifer feels rejuvenated. Since Lucifer did a decent job at selling the pizza he cooked, he decides to try his hand at sweets this time around and sell a variety of cupcakes he makes. Even a ghost had to come and try out one of Lucifer’s homemade cupcakes. The mint ones were a big hit. He sold 22 out of 40 cupcakes in total. Over half of what he baked, or should I say cooked. Lucifer ends up finding yet another book in his possession. Obviously, from the Grim Reaper. This one was another book about gardening. It is titled, “Getting Your Thumbs Green”. Reading it, Lucifer finds out he should be fertilizing his plants. One suggestion is to use fish. There’s a pond nearby, so he decides to try his hand at fishing and see what he can catch, if anything. He was down on his luck until nightfall. That’s when the fish came out to play. He finds a tetra, angelfish, and a cichlid. It’s too dark out for him to do anything right now. The next morning, Lucifer goes to his greenhouse and uses the fish he caught to fertilize his lilies and snapdragons. They have grown to be looking nice, but he needs them to be in perfect shape. Reaper's Rewards Part 2: A Call Away The next morning, Lucifer checks in on his flowers. They have slowly started to grow. Branches have begun forming. He is wondering how long it will take before the flowers show. As he notices he has mail in his mailbox that came with the land, Lucifer walks out of his greenhouse to stumble on a little freezer boney standing guard. This definitely reassures himself that the Grim Reaper is watching over him. Lucifer checks his mail to find an "Ambrosia Society" Newsletter. He most likely got on a mailing list when he researched about Ambrosia from his phone. He flips through the pages that details on how to prepare to create Ambrosia through cooking and gardening. Lucifer didn't know much about cooking (as I don't want to cheat any of these skills for him). Because of this, something supernatural happens to him again. In his custody is another book. This one is titled, "Let's Cook". Lucifer spends the rest of the morning reading it, learning about many different cooking styles. Midafternoon that day, Lucifer tries his hand at cooking. He has set up an outdoors kitchen with a food cart to sell the foods he makes. He's down 1,795 simoleons in his pockets, so he is hoping this brings in some type of revenue. The first food Lucifer is interested in is making pizza. Everyone loves pizza. Unfortunately, with a lack of cooking skills, there can be drawbacks. Luckily, Lucifer had insurance to cover the cost of replacements. Spending most of his afternoon into early evening hours creating pizzas, Lucifer is ready to see if his pizza creations are worthy enough for customers. Lucifer ends up selling 10 of the 24 slices of pizza for the evening. Hopefully those who bought one will spread the word. Perhaps this will encourage him to cook better foods and gain the skills he needs to put together the Ambrosia he is seeking. The next morning, Lucifer finds a strange contraption sitting on a peculiar table. He knows he didn't put them there. He turns the handle on the contraption and the Grim Reaper appears. Lucifer met the Grim Reaper two days prior when it left Lucifer a message of concern and vanished. The Grim Reaper offers a pair of earrings to Lucifer for his aid in learning about Ambrosia. Lucifer is not too thrilled with earrings, but the Grim Reaper insists, and they magically appear on Lucifer's ears. They give him an eerie feeling that the Grim Reaper's cold hands are tugging at his soul. The Grim Reaper tells Lucifer to find the haunted house and use the seance table to summon other spirits who might know even more about Ambrosia. Lucifer arrives at the abandoned house while there is still light outside. Things always go wrong when the night falls and he wasn't about to find what that would entail for him. As he arrives, it becomes cloudy outside. Not a good sign to Lucifer. Making his way to the attic, Lucifer spots the seance table. There are trapped spirits behind glass casings, but Lucifer knows these are not the ones the Grim Reaper was seeking for him to summon. Lucifer begins doing what he can to call upon the spirits. Lucifer is successful in reaching out to a spirit and asks about Ambrosia. To Be Continued...SolvedLegacySims20172 months agoSeasoned Hotshot125Views5likes4CommentsReaper's Rewards: A Sims 4 Story
Reaper's Rewards Part 1: Assistant to the Grim Reaper Meet Lucifer Morningstar. Yes, a Sim based off the character behind the television series, "Lucifer". Lucifer has come to Newcrest and is about to pursue the Grim Reaper's rewards. Let's get the story started. It's the first day of Spring and the Grim Reaper approaches Lucifer with some very important news and then vanishes. Not knowing exactly what "Ambrosia" is, Lucifer approaches a passerby in the streets. With zero cooking skills (cause I don't want to cheat), Lucifer seeks out someone else to see if they know anything else about this "Ambrosia". The old man didn't help much for Lucifer, except the fact now he knows a little more why the Grim Reaper is worried. This "Ambrosia" can bring ghosts back to the living. Lucifer decides to ask one other to see if they know anything. Gee, where did Lucifer here that before. That was no help at all. Lucifer decides not to ask anyone else. Rather, he will do his own research straight from his phone. The research results tell him he needs starter flowers. With 17,500 simoleons in his pocket, Lucifer buys a seed packet. He also builds a small greenhouse to plant the flowers. Lucifer is no green thumb and someone knows it. After planting the flower seeds, a gardening book magically appears in his custody. Perhaps it's the Grim Reaper watching and assisting. The book is called, "Water, Light, and Dirt". He flips through the pages. The book explains how it is essential to research on what is being planted. Knowing helps understand more how to take care of it. As night falls, Lucifer begins his research on the three different types of flowers he started planting. And So We Moved, a Cantrell: The Early Years Save “Lulu,” Joseph said. Seeing her frown at his chosen nickname for her, he began again, gently taking her by the shoulders. “Louise, I know you’re in your second trimester, but not that far into it. Besides, the journey normally only takes about two months’ time. This is a tremendous opportunity for us,” Joseph continued. “Here I get peanuts for doing the same job I’m being recruited for. I’ve already been promised over 200,000 Simoleons up front, if I take the job. The only catch, it’s on Vulcan. I served some of my time as a Marine on the red planet. It’s really a lovely place. Good people, if not a tad stiff in some manner, but you’ll adapt to it. I promise. I personally know Ambassador Sarek. Oh, and his wife, Amanda, is human. She’s also a teacher.” “But we’re to live in a compound? They keep all of the human residents in a compound? I don’t like the sound of it. Joseph, I don’t.” “It’s not what you think. The Vulcans rely on Logic and have trained themselves to avoid emotional statements as much as possible. Neighborhood implies emotion by the very nature of the word. It’s a very nice neighborhood, I’ve been there. We’ll likely not see too many Vulcans there. So, you’ll have the opportunity to make some friends. Human friends.” Louise lowered her head for a moment and let out a long, audible sigh. She really didn’t want to go. Gazing up again at him again, she said, “I’ve got one very active baby with another baby on the way. Being cooped up in a small spacecraft spells nightmare for me.” Joseph’s light blue eyes were aglow at the prospects of finally getting ahead in his chosen career. Another look at Joseph and Louise relented. She did love him so. Against her better judgement, she found herself saying, “Oh, all right. We’ll give it a try. But, if things don’t work out, please tell me you have an exit strategy.” “Exit strategy? Oh, sure. Yes Ma’am.” His smile was tentative, since he had already signed a two-year contract, renewable if he performed well at the job at hand. *~~*~~*~~*~~* The trip was long and arduous. The craft, already old, had several breakdowns along the way. Having to be towed, via Tractor Beam, to a Space station equipped to make repairs took way more time than expected, its location drawing them several parsecs off course. Again, due to the availability of out-dated parts. The advanced simoleons were meant to cover their housing. Sadly, the almost ancient Skiff took most of it just to get there. They could not afford the costs of repair, let alone the expenditure of time. Repairs took weeks. Waylaid as they were, virtual prisoners in their own ship, the repairs notoriously slow, suddenly Louise found herself in labor. “Oh, Joseph, this isn’t gas at all. This is the real deal. This baby is coming now. And I mean, right now.” “But we’re still parsecs away from Vulcan. The mechanics have assured me we’ll be on our way again very soon. Can’t you wait for another hour?” “Yes, Mr. Genius, I’ll just tell the baby to put things on hold,” she said, the humor curiously lacking from her pretty face. Then narrowing her eyes as if in contact with the baby inside of her, she shook her head. “No . . . no, somehow, he’s just not listening. He says he’s done baking and wishes to come out, now.” Joseph gazed at his young wife, “I’m in trouble, huh.” *~~*~~*~~*~~* True to their word, the mechanics finished up their work and bid the Cantrell family a Bon Voyage. The ship was still slow, which left Joseph in a near panic. Soon their toddler, Aaron was walking. Louise having to chase after him, who seemed to have a very bad case of the wanderlust. Or, perhaps he was just Inquisitive. At any rate, Louise was certain the mite was intent on exploring every nook and cranny of this sad vessel. She longed for the moment she could beam down and check out the only house they could afford with the leftover funds. *~~*~~*~~*~~* Five months after their second child arrived, their craft all but drifted into Vulcan’s atmosphere, where again, a Tractor Beam was used to pull them into the active space port where they offloaded. A crew was there to secure their luggage and little Aaron’s stuffed bear, that lay neglected on the deck. When his parents were able to interpret his anxious squawks, it was soon recovered. “Heaven forbid, Bear should get left behind,” Louise said, presenting it to the tot. By the iron grip the child had on the brown, stuffed replica of the Terran mammal, peace reigned once again. Their second child, another boy they named Erik, was no longer a newborn when they finally reached Vulcan space. Emerging from the craft in the hangar, a small delegation of Vulcans and Humans greeted them. Joseph had kept them apprised of his travel woes, which phased them not at all. He was given the day off to get his family situated in their new home. The couple only saw it virtually and had contracted a builder to make an archway between the two smaller bedrooms the boys would share. Among a few other alterations. Getting a chance to tour it, though soon brought Louise almost to tears. Beaming down to see the house in person shattered her expectations. If she found being cramped in a small spacecraft for nearly eight months was a nightmare, these quarters were equally small if not smaller. Two bedrooms, as per their changes, one bath, but the entire place was just small, the rooms cramped, not at all like the pictures online. Being rather adept at photography she should have realized the angle used was in an almost deceptive way. The kitchen was a bit of a joke. Strictly speaking a one-butt kitchen--- if it was even large enough for one. They had a small island added, for more working surfaces. No laundry room, whatsoever. She had the movers place the stackable washer and dryer in the corner of the main bedroom. There simply wasn’t anywhere else it could go. Joseph quickly settled into his new job, taking over the recently vacated 5th grade class at Province Elementary School, serving the Human Compound. So on top of having to adjust to the stronger pull of gravity on this planet, the thin atmosphere, which made breathing a bit harder for them, the hotter than blazes temperature, even in winter, which dropped to nearly unbearably cold temperatures once the sun went down; she also now had a new challenge before her. Louise found herself confronted headlong with Sibling Rivalry. Being an only child herself, this was foreign to her. Yet, Aaron was clearly jealous. He had a nasty case of it, she noted. So far he contented himself to pull at little Erik’s feet whenever Louise sat down to breast feed him. Louise had to be on her guard to make certain her toddler didn’t further act out his feelings *~~*~~*~~*~~* Having learned of such beasts as the Sehlet, often domesticated to her confusion, the bear-like animal had six-inch fangs. Or worse, the known predator called Le-matya, which bore poisonous claws. She worried Aaron would wander off someday and they would forever lose him in this almost hostile and alien world. She still just didn’t understand what it was Joseph found so enchanting about this place. Despite it all, Louise found a job in the Painters Career. She was something of a prodigy, herself, when it came to translating images to canvas. She painted to relax. The more she created, the better she felt, as if driven to express herself in this manner. The fact that her work was drawing notice was nice and it did help to keep her at the easel. When she wasn’t running after Aaron, that is. He was most certainly a handful, that boy, with his rather reckless desire for adventure. She was already making her mark on the Art world, having achieved the status of Proper Celebrity. She refused to let it go to her head, and instead decided the Paparazzi who hung around outside of their little dwelling, would be her first friends in this alien place. Busy taking care of her two children, in between dealing with Morning Sickness again, she soon realized they had been a bit on the capricious side when they ‘initiated’ their new home, shortly after moving in. What were they thinking? Faced with a third child under the age of four, she worried that the Daycare wasn’t being run as well as they promised. Often, Erik came home hangry with a wet diaper and exhausted. But, could they afford a nanny? This prompted her to produce more paintings which she sold to an Art Collector, which returned many more Simoleons that just selling it straight out. All for now. Thanks for reading! :)SolvedGalacticGal5 months agoSeasoned Ace582Views13likes51CommentsSimmer Tales🤷🏻🐕

So @NRowe started a discussion about exploring all of the game play in the Sims. @elanorbreton suggested going in alphabetical order and this gave me an idea for a legacy challenge. What if each generation represented a different letter of the alphabet, and is charged with completing all of the game play related to that letter. I'm going to start writing the rules here and update as I play through it. Overall Rules Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. Want to cheat a promotion? No go. Want to wear a toilet on your head? You do you. The only money cheat you are allowed to use is “freerealestate on” when you move the founding family in. No rules whatsoever about aging. No rules whatsoever governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations aren’t allowed to do it. For example, Gen 2 (Letter b) is required to visit a Beach lot. That doesn’t mean the other generations can’t visit the beach just for fun. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. You cannot accept self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name must begin with their assigned letter. If they own a pet, the pet's name must start with that letter too. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Music preferences are assigned when the heir ages up to Child. Hobby preferences are assigned as they become available. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits must prominently feature at least one of their favorite colors, and avoid the colors they dislike. If you decorate/redecorate a space for them you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen. From that point forward, all of their outfits will prominently feature at least one of their preferred styles (to the extent possible-some styles might not have swimwear options for example). If you decorate/redecorate a space for them you must consider their interior design preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned to all of their designated residences. If the heir has four or more lot traits for their generation, they can change which three are in place when they switch to a different residence. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation. If they have more than two aspirations, you decide which two and which order. If they only have one aspiration, you can pick any aspiration to be the other one. You don't have to complete the other aspiration, just use it for the transition to get the bonus trait. If the generation has no aspirations, pick any two aspirations for the transitions.
