Sims 1 legacy crash
Hey guys, I just bought sims 1 legacy off of steam for the nostalgia but when I try to load it a little tab in my windows bar opens and instantly shuts again and that's all that happens. I looked on reddit for answers and they got me to download the old 64 and 86 copys of c++ and to change my compatability to windows xp. I did all these things and now when i load as administer it almost loads up (screen goes black, pixels get blown up to adjust to the old style and then it shuts down again. Now I cant edit the compatability setting and I cant get any further. Why would someone sell a game on steam that doesn't work. This is a big company. Can someone help me make a game just play please. Shouldn't have to get techy to play a game on steam. Might as well of pirated it at this point.2 bugs that’s driving me insane
I never had these issues when it came to the complete collection… But in Legacy collection from steam I’ve ran into two bugs that’s annoying me dog baths don’t work at all, I action it my dog comes to me then both cancel the interaction which leaves my pets staying RED in hygiene… please fix dirty plates don’t get cleaned or removed from floor , counter, table etc from either the maid, butler or my own sims. I have to do it manually which is insane… please fix
Question about third-party Custom Content managers for The Sims 1
Hey there! I wanted to ask if there are any known restrictions or guidelines regarding third-party tools that manage or distribute Custom Content for The Sims. I'm currently researching the development of a third-party tool for managing CC in The Sims 1 as part of a capstone project. The idea is to build a mod manager capable of organizing, downloading, and installing custom content, with a possible integration to an external website where creators could upload their mods and players could download them through the application. A very early prototype of the tool already exists in a limited form (called TS1-ModLoader) which focuses mainly on detecting file conflicts. The goal of the project would be to expand this concept to include mod hosting and automated installation. The tool would not distribute any original game files, only user-created content. If there are any policies, documentation, or guidelines related to this (or if there is a better place to ask about it), I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
The Sims 1 Legacy Still Cannot Launch on RTX5080
The game just simply crashes without any info every time I open it. I tried lots of compatibale solutions like using AMD CPU HD Graphics to launch the game. These just won't work. I wonder if there is a way to run the game without resintalling old drivers. Cause using old drivers will cause low FPS or bugs on some new video games. Does Maxis ignore all the existing problems on Sims1&2 Legacy and do nothing now? I am really looking forward to a new update patch to solve the problems.
Sims legacy load is just a black screen
hi guys, I've installed the sims legacy from steam and its been working fine! I go to load it today and its just a black screen! Hello, I downloaded the sims and sims 2 when they went for sale last year. I just tries to launch the sims 1 for the first time yesterday and it isnt working. It keeps closing and flashing to my desktop every 3-5 seconds. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it? Ive already tried hitting "repair" on the game and nothing
move_objects on doesn't work
I'm playing the current updated version of the sims 1 that came out on EA app on pc, i think its called the legacy version? no mods or cc trying to use the cheat 'move_objects on' and its not working. not able to place objects without getting the red conflicting space thing happening i want to do things like place the toy boxes flush with the wall, which looks better and still allows them to function. or literally just place anything in the home, everything has such an unnecessarily large footprint around it you can't place anything flush. it all just floats in the middle of the room. i remember playing the cd rom years ago and that cheat worked perfectly. if this was a glitch, fix it. if this was intentionally removed, why the hell would you do that? seriously with this company 🙄
Please, add a better money cheat. Give us the motherlode.
It's really frustrating that you can only get 1000 simoleans with a cheat. I know you can repeat it with !;!;!;!; and so on, but that is a very time consuming thing since you still only get a mere 1000 for each ! That's a lot to get the 50000 that motherlode gives you in later games. And you have to press in another button for every ! so it's not something you can do very fast. This would be a very good quality of life feature to add that I imagine would take very little effort.SIMS double deluxe serial number errors
I purchased an external disc reader and was super excited to show my daughter the game, and after figuring out the compatibility part, I am running into the issue of my 22-digit serial number not working. I am only able to type in 20 digits, and that doesn't work either, leaving off the last 2 numbers. Has anyone had these issues?
Sims 1 legacy not showing on EA APP.
I have Sims 1 legacy on steam and it is linked with the EA app. I registered the original cd's on Maxis.. can i use those to register on the EA APP Cause i still have all of the original CD with Game Codes? Cause i've got a 4 sims games.. 2 ultimate collection shows up, sims 3 and sims 4 all show up in library.. I have the Sims 1 legacy and sims 2 legacy ( i guess ultimate collection) through steam. Yet sims 1 is the only one that doesnt show up in EA library.
Continued lag and UI scale issues with 1920x1080p
I posted about this same topic 8 MONTHS AGO!! EA have not done anything about this issue and hasn't bothered to reply to my post either. I have been waiting all this time and it's just not good enough, EA. To begin with there was the issue with the UI scale being way too small with the 1920X1080. Since the last update way back in April, this UI issue wasn't fixed and then after that update, it also caused my game to have a terrible jerky lag. It's NOT my laptop that's the issue. Apart from the UI being too small the game ran fine before that update. I actually ended up uninstalling the game way back in April and completely gave up. 2 days ago, I redownloaded and reinstalled the game to see whether EA might have fixed that issue. However, they have not. The issue is still persisting and not one person has bothered to respond and yes, I tried all the so-called new resolution settings you added in the game but that never worked either. It doesn't matter what I do, the game runs like trash. Works perfectly fine on my gaming PC but not on my gaming laptop with 1920X1080. Whatever update you did, it just made everything worse. I've tried all the advice about changing the resolution in Windows settings. It doesn't work! Besides, I shouldn't have to do that every time I want to play the game, and I definitely shouldn't have to buy a new laptop with a better resolution in order for it to work. This is from YOUR update. The game should just run and be playable. I am really quite frustrated with you now, EA. This isn't right. I have waited for a reply from you for 8 months now! I'm trying to be as respectful and patient as possible and you are not making this easy. Has anyone else with 1920x1080, experiencing this problem still or have you seen any improvements at all?? Has EA even replied to you? NOT HAPPY!
Sims 1 Wont Launch: Crashes on Opening Screen
Hola! I had very few bugs with Sims 1 until the very last update. Ever since my game won't launch, only a few seconds after the opening screen appears it crashes so I was unable to access the game FOR MONTHS. I didn't pay for a game to have it as decor, I want to play it since my simming experience started with TS2 so I never had the chance to experience TS1. However, I repaired and reinstalled the game dozens of times and it still keeps crashing. I have tried everything and it just won't launch. If anyone has any suggestions, please don't hesitate. Click and censorship visual glitch
Hi, how are you? I recently purchased The Sims Legacy and noticed that when I open the interactions menu in Live Mode (to click on the ground, an object, a Sim, etc.), I get a visual glitch. This also appears in the censorship when my Sim takes a shower or goes to the bathroom. I don't know how to fix it, and while it doesn't prevent me from playing, it's quite annoying. I bought the Sims and Sims 2 legacy collection and I didn't receive the bonus Sims 4 kits on either. The grunge revival or the throwback fitness kits. Amazon will not help me and EA won't help me. It has been a nightmare, Amazon says I have to contact ea the game developer and EA says I have to contact amazon the retailer I bought it from. I have tried to resolve this issue for days. Neither company is taking responsibility. They wont even try for a solution they just tell me to contact the other company there is nothing they can do.
