Lack of persistent servers is killing smaller regions
Good evening everyone! I just wanted to talk about how the lack of persistent servers is ruining the gameplay experience for a lot of people. For example: My friends are from South Africa and we seldomly find a full match, and when we do, once that match is done everyone is dispersed across the cosmos, you have to search 2 or 3 times to find where the majority of players got put into. Once you find the match the chances are that you'll be put on the same 3 maps you played the entire evening. DICE this is a waste of time. As a working adult I don't have time to spend 10 minutes looking for a populated match only to play on the same map over and over again. It makes for a terrible gaming experience, I don't know why there is so much resistance to having persistent official servers for each region. The quick play COD style browser may make sense for highly populated regions but it makes no sense for a lot of the less populated regions in the world. At the very least we need to have an option allowing us to choose the region we want to search in the custom search function. Sometimes it's better playing EU servers with 200ms+ ping than playing bots the entire evening. Insisting on this direction for matchmaking will continue to be one of the sore points of this game regardless of how good the content and base gameplay is.Abysswalker6264 minutes agoRising Traveler250Views6likes14CommentsUn des meilleurs jeux

Hey Dice, i have some personal suggestion regarding skins in BF6. Currently, i have multiple skins that i like but the problem is they are on the same class which force me to use only one of them. with more update coming and new skins released, eventually you will have an abundance of skin to choose from. my suggestion is, how about limiting the skins for each map. Ok let me explain with details. for example, take Empire State or Manhattan Bridge map, which take place in the USA, why not make it that NATO can only use skins from the Coyote Squad unit and the Vedmak Fireteam unit for PAX. Or on the map like New Sobek City, NATO can only use Desert Locusts unit and PAX can only use the Kahina Unite. for me personally this would make my skins worth the money because each map i'll be using different skins that matches the map theme. and for the universal unit skins (Panopticon 8, the 323, Task Force Vector, Strix Raiders), they can be used on any map. so they are the variable for each factions. ok, this is only my personal suggestions, the community might not like it or even you devs or EA not like it. But to me this is solving the problem of too many good skins but can only use one5Views0likes0CommentsBF6 is not fun anymore.
as a BF Veteran i am sad to say that EA has sucked fun out of this game. Horrible hit registration. Insta-kill cheats everywhere. Only one or two playable maps. ( Who was that idiot that brought pitch black map into game with **bleep** poor visibility? Where do you find those dudes all the **bleep** time?) Partly broken gun design Since they put effort on unimportant things like cosmetics, stupid game modes, stupid challenges, stupid battle pa$$es etc but are not doing anything about broken gun play and hit registration i am not expecting anything from them. They just give us lies. They have our money and focus to something else. If this was a beta - i would not buy this game.Kugel_FIN3 hours agoSeasoned Veteran304Views16likes23CommentsDear DICE: I have some suggestions about Portal.
Hi all, Huge BF veteran and fan here. playing non-stop pretty much every title in PC since Battlefield 2, but mainly Bad Company 2, BF3, and BF4. I'd like to start by saying I absolutely love BF6. I think it's a big step in the right direction since 2042, and there are so many wonderful things about this as a series installment in general. However, I think that BF6 has a lot less of the "community" feeling that the other games had. From Battlefield 2 until BF4, the server browser, among other things, gave the game a sense of a close, tight community that I struggle to find these days. I often played at the same servers, at the same time, and often with the same people. this felt great. I was pleased to see that we have a server browser in Portal, exactly like we had in 2042 - and I often played this exact same way, with this exact same sense of community in 2042. I don't understand why portal and the server browser is so badly used in BF6 - I often go through the server browser just to see if there are any experiences hosted in my area (south america) with people playing, and there never are any. This is not due to a lack of players, since in the regular multiplayer I'm always playing full (no bots) 64-player lobbies. My first suggestion here would be a single server browser for both regular (persistent) lobbies and portal experiences. If people used the server browser to navigate and enter games, this would mean: more concentrated lobbies, with less "bot-filled" matches, since I have the feeling that there are often many half filled lobbies which could be unified; more focus on the portal experiences, which I feel people usually don't even remember is an option. My second suggestion, and this is the bigger one - PLEASE try if it's possible to integrate some of the portal experiences in the base game. I recently played "Gulf Of Lyndon" in Portal, a gulf of Oman inspired map on the Downtown area of the Redsec map. it was absolutely amazing, even with a lot of bugs due to it being an unofficial portal experience. How hard is it to integrate this into the base game and multiplayer rotation? This would satisfy the biggest complain that a lot of older, veteran Battlefield players have - the original, big map, vehicle-based battlefield experience. Don't get me wrong - I really like the new maps. I really like breakthrough, rush, and especially escalation, which is the BEST addition to battlefield since Rush in bad company. But I honestly don't understand why we can't have both. Why can't Battlefield 6 also cater to this slice of the player base, which has been especially loyal for 15, 20 something years? I feel like there is so much wasted potential with Portal. I'm sorry if many of these things are not viable technically speaking - I'm just a concerned fan. But after playing that Gulf of Lyndon experience, I felt I actually played Battlefield 6 for the first time. Lots of love, Marco11Views0likes0CommentsAI generated skins? Mistakes in soldiers skins
Hey, I noticed that within one of the new bundles there is a skin with 3 pairs of scizzors. Whichdoesnt make sense, at least they shouldn't be hanging loose. Generally, there are many skins with two pairs of gloves (one attached to the vest or hanging loose), additional headsets attached somewhere etc. - theses duplicates doesn't have sense, at least not attached somewhere visble or hanging loose because in real life it creates noise while running. It seems there is no supervision on approving some work there or it's generated by AI? I don't know, I have mixed feelings about it. I know it's just a game but compared to the older versions I didn't notice such mistakes. Dice, can you please review existing skins or at least improve QC of the new ones? I atteched the example I've mentioned with additional scizzors - 3 pairs.. like, c'mon. Is he a formar tailor? :DOFFik4 hours agoNew Hotshot12Views0likes0CommentsWill we ever get to the point of.....
Larger squads so friends can actually play the game together without the imperfect hassle of trying to join games and hopefully get dragged from match to match? Linking parties? 2. Private servers? Hell, we'll pay the fee. I'd even waive custom settings if we could just ensure the 8 or 10 of us can actually play the game together---since this giant cluster doesn't encourage teamwork AT ALL, and there is no way to foster a server where the objective is to actually PTFO. 3. allow crossplay filters so folks who have the resources to build actual gaming rigs don't get steamrolled by console aim assist round after round? The game is good. A much needed improvement over the last, but the feel of "4" is still lacking, and some of the above would encourage us to abandon our $75/mo "4" server that we still maintain because we actually enjoy working together as a team. And to the folks that claim it would be "server stacking" and prevent folks from playing--not the case. You're currently at the mercy of a mystery sausage maker. If that's fine for you, so be it. But a club that enjoys 16 v 16 of real comm and PTFO will gladly pay for it.ThirtyWest5 hours agoSeasoned Novice9Views0likes0CommentsBattle Coins Season 2
So whats with Season 2 battle coins only totaling 1000 instead of 1100? After completing all the paths in season 1 there was a total of 1100 coins which was enough to purchase S2 BP but for season 2 you only get a total of 1000 and that will not be enough to purchase S3 BP. Also EA stated that anyone with the game on EA App was going to get season 2 BP free due to the problems they had on launch. So what is going on?Sn1pe-055 hours agoRising Novice10Views0likes0CommentsCan the dev team start to acknowledge how utterly garbage the maps are
Out of the maps the game released with 75% play like cod maps, hectic, cramped and pointlessly funneling. Its incredibly obvious that the team responsible for map design have not played a game of battlefield in their lives. Opening up the maps, increasing width and verticality is pretty much a must at this point for the game to not be dead in 5 months. At this point the best course of action would just be to delete the maps and add in the BF3 maps with some HD textures.m16hamstern6 hours agoRising Newcomer59Views1like3CommentsI applaud anyone that plays every day.
Seriously, I applaud anyone that can stomach this POS every day. I can only manage half an hour to an hour before I close the game. Between the silent tanks, TTK/TTD problems and not to mention the newly introduced rubber banding that we now seem to have, this game is just terrible. Is this anything to do with the cheap 30hz servers they are using? The only reason I play it is that I paid good money for it, and because they promised "back to roots" game play and bigger maps etc etc, which all turned out to be a pack of lies. It's shameful when a company lies to its customer base and misrepresents a game with BS cinematographies which are nothing at all like the game in reality. What we got was completely different to the BETA, goodness knows enough people have made this clear and even detailed the differences between the BETA and what we have now. I don't really care for silly danglybits hanging from an LMG that nobody else can see, I would rather have the gun perform better. The same for soldier skins. Then there's the ridiculous bunny hopping and Olympic sliding event. And what's with all this "Out of bounds" BS for christ sake, WHY are the maps so bloody small? it's hard to use the maps to flank people because you are suddenly off the map boundary despite the fact that there is "lots of map left" but can't be utilised. Is this really what Battlefield has become? No more BIG maps, just COD style gaming re-branded as BF gaming? In fact, talking of maps, where are the rest? It's pathetic how few maps we have in this game. And when you do play multiplayer it seems to be the same few maps over and over again, and thats if you can find a game with real human beings in it as opposed to lethal killing machine bots that are now better than most level 100 players. I purchased this game after seeing on-line gaming videos from the BETA game play and after reading all the great reviews from people saying how good it was, little did I know it would turn out like this. What a huge shame because I was genuinely looking forward to this release, but if this is how it's going to remain after six months of release then I fear this is just not for me. What a shame we can't refund the game from broken promises.JennyB_0106 hours agoSeasoned Ace66Views4likes6Comments2 hour 1 load in!!!

Hi Team, I wanted to report a consistent issue with joining friends in Strikepoint. Currently, when attempting to join friends who are already in a match (full squad), the system places me into a queue if their team is full. However, the queue often does not progress, and I am unable to enter the match even after extended waiting even if someone on the other team leaves. Previously, the system would allow players to join on the opposing team if the friend’s team was full. This made it much easier to get into games together without unnecessary delays and the ability to play against my friends . Current behavior: Attempt to join a friend in an active match If their team is full, player is placed into queue. Queue does not resolve Impact: Makes it difficult to play with friends in active sessions. Encourages players to leave matches or avoid joining altogether. Creates a frustrating user experience compared to other titles Suggested improvement: Reintroduce the ability to join the opposing team when the friend’s team is full, we want to play against each other... OR allow optional override to join any available slot in the server. OR improve queue logic to prioritize party joins and reduce wait time I believe adding a fallback option (opposing team join or faster queue resolution) would significantly improve the social experience and reduce friction when joining friends mid-match. Happy to provide more details if needed. Thanks for your time The BTFU community Brothers That Fight UnitedBabyFaceNels0n8 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer68Views2likes5CommentsSeason 2???!!!!!!!!
Well I have been a BF fan for many years. Have all of them and after BF 2342 it really put me off. Stuck in my throat that I paid that cash and never played it due to it being so bad. BF6 season 2, WTF!!! Are you Devs reading the feedback??? A new map that again could have much potential but is far too small. Not only that but AGAIN you can’t get height for sniping and the map is far too small and narrow. AGAIN spawn camping still an issue as heli etc can stroll right into your base and destroy everything when you try to respond. I am only going to say this, thank god I still have BF4!! Reinstalling now!! Pathetic guys, stop focussing on what COD is doing and get back to the realistic war with big maps that you are renowned and unbeaten for! I didn’t buy this game to play COD, I wanted to play big new or refreshed maps but again you have failed to deliver. Watch this game fail over next few months folks and you will be mostly playing with bots and a small handful of humans! Disappointing and unacceptable. Think the devs need a boot up the arse!523Views3likes9CommentsFalse banned in Battlefield 6, not once, but twice
Hey, As a player who has played the Battlefield 1–4–5–2042 series, I can’t play Battlefield 6. Why? Because something happened to me about 4–5 months ago when I bought the game and started playing. I GOT BANNED. I still don’t know why I was banned. I submitted appeals multiple times and made explanations, but none of them worked. After that, I gave up hope, downloaded BF5, and played it for a while. And yes, surprisingly, I didn’t get banned. In fact, I’ve never been banned from any of the Battlefield games. I deleted and reinstalled the Battlefield series multiple times and played for months/years without any issues. I can still play other Battlefield games without any problem. So why did I get banned for the second time in Battlefield 6? About a week ago, the game went on sale again on Steam. I created a new Steam account and bought it again, hoping things would be different. Today, I entered the game for the first time and played about 3 or 4 matches with my friend on one of the community hardcore servers. Then, in the middle of another match, I suddenly got banned. Right now, I’m somewhere between laughing and crying, and I still want to learn why I was banned. In the background, I usually have Spotify, my GPU driver software, audio driver software, Vanguard (Valorant’s anti-cheat system), Wallpaper Engine, and WhatsApp open. I don’t think any of these would cause an issue—if they did, I would have been banned from at least one other online game. I also don’t think I was banned because of my hardware. If that were the case, I would have been banned from other games as well, especially other Battlefield titles. Still, for those who are curious about my setup: Glorious Model D Gaming Mouse ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX (Red Switch) I’m not sure if I should expect anything from the community regarding this issue, but I hope someone with authority sees this and reaches out.37Views0likes1CommentGarbage
The game is boring and it’s going to be short-lived. No more than a minor placeholder for people who enjoy fps games. I’d be upset, but I’m old enough to know how EA behaves and what they’re gonna do with my money now that they already have it. Redsec is just a copy and paste Call of Duty® Warzone. The maps are entirely too small, the bugs and glitches make it intolerable to play. There’s no point in finding a hot drop because there’s no such thing as a cold drop. It forces you into unnecessary engagements at every minute of the game, which is because EA is trying to capture all of the audience from call of duty and in doing so is betraying its own audience. Once again, another company playing to the audience it wants and not the audience it has. It’s gross. Conquest is just a glorified team death match. Maps are too small, tickets are pointless when players are rewarded for objectives and team play properly. Which is a nice way of saying that there needs to be punishments for doing otherwise. SBMM for team comp means that objectively focused players have to carry selfish players. Why are we still arguing about SBMM if you can’t fill the slots just put bots in there. I’m disgusted by how often I need to be punished for being a middle of the road player. Weapons are meaningless and the numbers don’t make sense when you actually test them in the range or in a engagement. In fact it is exactly like Destiny 2 gameplay when the devs blatantly admitted that some bullets do no damage on purpose. EA made a babysitter to absorb as much money as they could and then paid streamers to make it relevant. How is battlefield six going to pretend to be a military shooter when the weapons don’t behave according to their caliber. Why is EA pretending that they’re being virtuous with Hall monitor behavior? People wanna play your game just let them. People are gonna be mean to each other in chat mind your own business and let them. People are actively bogarting the vehicles and ruining the game for everyone else. Why don’t you do anything about that? Stop pretending like you’re actually helping when you aren’t doing anything to remedy the problems that people are complaining about.FenrisuIf10 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer43Views0likes1CommentDisappointed by Battlefield 6’s Lack of Linux Support
To whom it may concern, I was genuinely excited about Battlefield 6. The trailers, the gameplay previews—all of it looked amazing. But that excitement was instantly deflated when I realized there’s no support for Linux at all! I’m running Ubuntu LTS and have absolutely no interest in switching back to Windows just to play EA games. It’s frustrating, to say the least, that in 2025 we’re still dealing with such narrow platform support. Linux users are no longer a fringe group—we’re passionate, loyal, and growing. Ignoring us feels like a slap in the face. I won’t be buying Battlefield 6 unless Linux support is taken seriously. Simple as that. Please rethink this decision—not just for me, but for the entire Linux community. Regards, A very disappointed gamerNever_Go_Jose11 hours agoSeasoned Novice17KViews123likes119CommentsDear Battlefield Studio:
Sobek City (Breakthrough) The first and second sectors need to be redesigned. In many matches, attackers struggle significantly in the first sector, especially at Objective B. There appears to be an exploit where defenders can get onto rooftops (Objective A,I’m not sure how this is done). In contrast, the second sector is heavily biased toward attackers, and defenders often lose it almost instantly. Manhattan Bridge (Breakthrough) The first sector needs to be redesigned. Defenders can snipe attackers from buildings along the right-side road, while attackers cannot access this area because it is outside their playable zone. More critically, defenders can hide behind rocks along the main path attackers must take, ambushing them or even pushing into the attacker spawn. Snipers on rooftops behind the objective can directly see into the attacker spawn, which creates serious balance issues. Blackwell Oilfield (Breakthrough) The frist sector is extremely problematic. Defenders can camp behind trucks in front of the objective and easily ambush attackers. Based on my experience, only about one-third of attacking teams can pass the first sector. Contamination (Breakthrough) I have played 157 hours of Breakthrough and have never seen an attacking team capture the hangar in the third sector. Perhaps it is possible, but the success rate feels far below what would be considered balanced. Hagenthal Base (Breakthrough) This is a good map overall, but I have never seen attackers break through the first sector. Iberian Offensive (Conquest) Objective D has a performance issue. My PC (5800X + 6700XT) drops to around 45 FPS at this objective, while other maps remain stable at around 80 FPS. This issue does not occur elsewhere. Assault class balance The stim ability is currently ineffective aside from adding visual disturbance. Given the extremely fast TTK in the game, often under 200 ms, the stim provides no meaningful advantage. I suggest changing it to increase movement speed so it becomes more useful. Flashbangs and concussion grenades also feel ineffective. They could mark affected enemies on the minimap, with stim providing immunity to this effect. This would increase their usefulness and reduce the dominance of explosive grenades, while also discouraging corner camping. Vehicles in Breakthrough Please consider adding more transport vehicles and attack helicopters. Weapon balance The SCW SMG and TR7 are too strong at close range due to extremely fast TTK. This makes network issues feel worse and removes counterplay. They can remain strong, but should allow some chance for reaction instead of instant kills. Optics cost It's not worth spending 10 points to add a low-magnification scope to a high-magnification scope. Bullet velocity Please consider slightly reducing bullet velocity across all weapons. Many weapons designed for close range become too dominant at mid range when using extended barrels. Have a nice day!NIse-Azoth11 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer35Views0likes6Comments
