I used "tracert http://www.ea.com with Cmd And it said my latency was 5 So i don't know what the problem is. I've tried using a VPN which works but it makes the game very laggy with high latency My normal latency in games is around 10-30 Can anyone help?cheersmate137 days agoNew Novice27Views0likes0CommentsBF1 & BF4 lost connections to the session
This problem began to appear just several months ago for both my bf1 and bf4. When i join a server in the server list and play for about 5 to 10 minutes (bf4 might be longer, like 15 mins), i will be kicked out of the server, and it will show me the message "YOU HAVE LOST THE CONNECTION TO THE SESSION". I think my EA app is okay it's online, just cannot successfully connect to any game server. I tried to play them on another device, and the same problem came again. By the way I use WLAN and an accelerator (delay and ping are kinda high for me to play like eu server in my region).17Views0likes0CommentsBattlefield Hardline unavailable on Brazilian Steam
Why the game is still unavailable for Brazil on Steam while it's currently being sold on Epic Game Store? I have all the BF's on Steam and I'm missing only Hardline. Please make it available again in our region!luanlipz2 months agoRising Rookie46Views1like0CommentsRogue-like Destruction: Every Battlefield Match Feels Truly Unique
Hey soldiers, Battlefield has never just been about shooting — it’s about feeling war on a grand scale. Remember the skyscraper collapsing in BF4? Or that RPG hitting the bridge on Seine Crossing? Destruction wasn’t just pretty. It was proof something big happened there. Now, with Battlefield Labs and future titles, destruction is back — but often just for visuals. I want to propose something different: Destruction as gameplay. Destruction as story. Destruction as a rogue-like system. What’s the idea? Each match randomly selects a set of destructible sectors. These are designed beforehand, but only some are active per round. So in one match, you can destroy a building to create a flanking path. In another, that building stands solid — and you need to adapt. This gives variety, unpredictability, and player-driven chaos. You’re not just playing the same map again. You’re fighting through something new. How it evolves: At the start, destruction is limited. As the match progresses, more destructible sectors become active. By the endgame, players unlock the potential to reshape the battlefield in dramatic ways. This pacing avoids early-match spam and builds tension. It rewards teams that survive long enough to "earn the ruin." The world reacts: Environmental events like storms, earthquakes, artillery, and more could influence destruction too. Not just visual effects — real impact. A tornado might collapse buildings. Floods might block routes. Earthquakes might open up new flanking tunnels. Maps don’t just react to players — they react to war itself. Examples by biome: Urban: alleys or buildings open or close based on match layout. Desert: sandstorms reduce visibility, collapse structures. Forest: fires spread, floods redirect players. Snow: ice cracks, avalanches cut off areas. Why this makes sense: Players get new tactical situations without needing dozens of new maps. Devs reuse assets in smarter, procedurally randomized ways. It combines what worked in BF4 (Levolution), BF2042 (weather), and classic destruction — but with purpose. Bottom line: Destruction should tell the story of what players did. Not just look cool. Every wall blown up. Every rooftop shattered. Every corner turned into rubble — it should all say: “You survived this war. You changed the battlefield.” That’s Battlefield at its best. Let’s make destruction matter again.27Views1like0CommentsBattlefield 2 - 20th Anniversary
Is EA planning on doing/saying anything about the 20th Anniversary of Battlefield 2? I have commemorated the occasion by releasing a mod that allows you to play with bots on all the 64 player sized maps. Other than that gameplay is the same. I am not sure where you would get a copy of Battlefield 2 these days. I grabbed mine from Ebay. Earlier I posted about how all my DLCs for Battlefield 4 weren't working, I have an update to share on that front. All but one are working like normal now, the exception being the Final Stand DLC. Once again I tried uninstalling and reinstalling that specific DLC and nothing worked, I'm getting sick of this crap. Does anyone have other suggestions to get Final Stand on Xbox One working properly again? Thank you.26Views0likes0Comments- ORANGE-EXPRESS2 months agoSeasoned Ace28Views2likes0Comments
battlefield heroes needs to resurrect
I would like to comment on the game Battlefield Heroes, which this year marks 10 years since its closure. Nowadays, we have cartoon-style games trending, I won't name them here as I'm not sure if it's allowed, but I believe that Battlefield Heroes was like a 'father' to them because after its closure, similar games started to emerge, cartoon games with abilities referred to as 'powers.' If they had given more time to the game, these new games wouldn’t have had a 100% reception since Battlefield Heroes would be present. Over time, the game would have seen improvements; I'm sure that with the three hyped cartoon games out now, Battlefield Heroes would be the fourth. Now, moving on to another point, today we have platforms that facilitate access and publicity for players to download the game. Another point is that it’s a game that is still revived today by fans. To give you an idea of its significance, there's a clone of the original game, but it’s not the same, along with another project set to launch at the end of the year, all based on the original game. I was asked by EA support to post my problem on the forum here while they push it to another part of the support team. A number of years ago I purchased bf4 with the Japanese language options available to me. But for some reason, when I verified my game files the option disappeared and reverted my copy of the game to the 'global' copy that includes russian, english, chinese, polish, korean and some others. But not Japanese like I had before. After that, I bought a copy of the game again on a different account because it was 2$ and had the edition I wanted. It worked for a while, I even have recordings that include the UI language working correctly. Now I came back to the game a while later again, and sadly it has changed again to bf4 premium edition with the standard language packs. Following some advice on ea.help.com I looked in my game files and found that I still have the localization files installed, but my GDFBinary_ja_JP.dll file had become the EN version. I verified the files again, and not only did it not fix it but it outright erased this DLL file. (???) The game still launches normally though and the UI and voice all works in english. I tried verifying my files again and it came back. But now im completely lost. I again followed some advice on the forum to do a registry edit to fix the problem, but because I can't select the correct language option in the launcher, I can't redownload the correct dll and it doesn't work. I'm so lost now on what to do... EA support told me to make this post while they move the ticket to someone else who can maybe help me, but I don't know when they will get back to me. And they closed the chat. :(28Views0likes0CommentsI Left Call of Duty for Battlefield — Don’t Make Me Leave Again
To the Developers: This Isn’t Feedback — It’s a Final Warning I left Call of Duty years ago when it stopped being about war and turned into some esports fashion show. Laser guns, pro wrestler bundles, weed-themed skins — it became a joke. So I came to Battlefield. I found BF4, and in it, I found what a war game should be. Classes had meaning. Maps had chaos and flow. And above all — you felt like a soldier, part of something bigger. Now you want to throw all that away. Weapon freedom across all classes? We already saw how that went in 2042 — the worst-reviewed Battlefield in the franchise’s history. You ditched identity, teamwork, and tactics in favour of “player freedom,” and it backfired massively. Now you’re trying to sell us the same idea again, with a new coat of paint? What’s the point of bringing back classes if they’re just cosmetic shells? What’s the point of Recon if Support can slap on a sniper rifle and do the same job? Where’s the teamplay? The roles? The balance? Battlefield doesn’t need gimmicks. It doesn’t need neon clown suits, anime skins, or Twitch-ready loadouts with Seth Rollins as a “combat expert.” This is supposed to be a war game, not a Fortnite wannabe. I don’t want to “express myself.” I want to play my role, with my squad, in an actual battle. I want to be the Engineer holding off a tank rush. I want to be the Medic dragging my team back into the fight. I want to be the Recon spotting for artillery, not running around with an LMG. That’s what makes Battlefield Battlefield — not skins, not broken meta loadouts, not trying to copy CoD’s mistakes from five years ago. Here are the facts: Battlefield 2042’s launch was a disaster, and you only started to win players back when you reintroduced the class system. BF1 and BF4 still have active communities because they respected the core Battlefield identity. Your most loyal players — the ones who stuck through the bugs, the balance issues, the EA meddling — are telling you again, you’re going the wrong way. And here’s the part that hurts to say: If you don’t change course, Battlefield will be dead to me when this game launches. I already had to walk away from one franchise I loved when it stopped respecting what it was. That’s how I found Battlefield — and it gave me years of memories and real friends. Don’t make me do that again. We don’t want to play as esports mascots. We want to play as soldiers, in a squad, with roles that matter — in a battlefield that feels alive. Give us Battlefield. Not another copycat.fearlesswolf12893 months agoNew Rookie43Views1like0CommentsBattlefield: Business Model & Custom Server Tips to Boost Growth
Dear EA Team, Greetings! First and foremost, thank you for creating the incredibly immersive and large-scale multiplayer experience that is the *Battlefield* series. As a long-time fan of the franchise and an active observer of online gaming communities, I’d like to share some thoughts and proposals regarding potential innovations in business models and the custom server ecosystem. I hope these ideas can contribute to the continued growth and vitality of the franchise. 1. Transitioning from Buy-to-Play to a Free-to-Play Model While *Battlefield*'s core strength lies in its multiplayer gameplay, the traditional buy-to-play model can be at odds with the expectations of a modern live-service game: Barrier to Entry : A one-time purchase can deter new players, especially in a market increasingly dominated by free-to-play titles like *Apex Legends* and *PUBG*. A high upfront cost limits user acquisition. Limited Long-Term Monetization**: Players tend to be less willing to spend on updates post-purchase, making it difficult to sustain consistent content development. Suggested Direction: Following the success of *PUBG*, consider making the multiplayer component free-to-play while offering the campaign as a standalone paid DLC. Monetization can focus on cosmetic microtransactions and battle passes, reducing the entry barrier while maintaining profitability. 2. Diversified Monetization Strategies A. Cosmetic-Driven Revenue Model Customization : Offer high-quality character skins, weapon camos, vehicle effects, and animations to cater to personalization without impacting gameplay balance. Battle Passes : Implement seasonal passes with both free and premium tracks—rewarding players with exclusive outfits, emotes, and in-game currency, similar to *Apex Legends*. Standalone Campaign DLCs : Package single-player content as “War Story Collections” priced around \$39.99 to preserve narrative richness without restricting multiplayer access. B. Value-Added Features Non-Gameplay Advantage Items : Sell visual enhancements such as golden scopes or vehicle sound packs, and temporary access passes for unreleased weapons (e.g., "weapon trial tickets"). Server Rental Perks : Offer premium server hosts features like exclusive tags, queue priority, and expanded control options—balancing monetization with fair play. 3. Skill-Based Matchmaking and Competitive Balance A. Tiered Matchmaking System Metrics-Based Ranking : Use KD ratio, headshot rate, average assists, etc., to classify players into skill brackets (e.g., Bronze to Diamond) with a ±15% matchmaking margin. Dual Mode Division : Casual Mode : Allows for wider matchmaking (up to ±2 tiers), focusing on fun and accessibility. Competitive Mode : Enforces tighter matchmaking accuracy (within ±5%), complete with ranked points and visible progress. 4. Custom Servers: Fostering UGC and Community Monetization Vision : Transform custom servers into platforms of player creativity through an ecosystem that integrates rental services, content creation tools, and community engagement. A. Server Tiers and UGC Toolkits Basic Rental : Free servers (up to 32 players) with default rules. Premium Servers : Paid options (64/128 players) unlocking advanced features such as modding tools, custom loading screens, and rule configurations—modeled after *Minecraft* server rentals (\$5–\$20/month). UGC Tools : Map Editor : Offer a “Quick Edit” mode to modify capture points, spawn locations, cover objects, etc., based on official maps. Asset Library : Provide free and purchasable asset packs (e.g., sci-fi buildings), allowing creators to enrich their server environments. B. Revenue Streams Tiered Server Pricing : Scale rental fees based on capacity—e.g., \$10/month for 64-player servers, \$20/month for 128-player ones. Subscription Model : Enable server creators to offer subscription perks (e.g., \$5/month for exclusive cosmetic shards), with revenue split 50/50 between creators and EA. C. Moderation and Incentives Content Review : High-traffic servers (500+ weekly active users) should be manually reviewed to ensure alignment with the franchise’s standards. Creator Support : Monthly “Top 10 Creative Servers” program with rental credits and front-page promotion. Official collaborations with top creators—integrating their modes into community events or challenges with in-game rewards or cash prizes. D. Ecosystem Value Low-Cost Content Expansion : Community-made maps and modes can sustain engagement between major updates. Enhanced Social Engagement : Custom servers can host clans, tournaments, and thematic event days, strengthening social bonds and increasing player retention. Data-Driven Development : Analytics from top custom servers (e.g., most banned weapons, popular rulesets) can inform official balancing decisions. 5. Closing Thoughts The *Battlefield* franchise stands out for its immersive combat and technical excellence. By adopting a free-to-play model and fostering a vibrant custom server ecosystem, *Battlefield* can appeal to a broader audience while empowering its community to drive innovation. These suggestions are rooted in a deep passion for the series and a belief in its potential to evolve into a true "living battlefield." Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for *Battlefield*. Warm regards,22Views0likes0Comments- CitizenRick13 months agoSeasoned Newcomer33Views0likes0Comments
Bf labs crashing or not launching solution
If you have issues with the application crashing on xbox i have a solution. You need to click on bf labs and go to manage games and addons go to saved data and click on the tabs individually and click on delete everywhere. Then reopen battlefield labs and cancel the syncing thing that Xbox does for some games and if you did that the game should just launch like how it did the first time you opened battlefield labs. An ea advisor said to post this bc it worked for me i hope it works for anyone that has similar issues side note this doesn’t delete the game or anything you own or even unlocks this only reverses anything you changed in the settings. All your save data is stored separately by ea so you don’t lose any progressOldlemonman75673 months agoSeasoned Newcomer557Views1like0Comments
