Crackling sound making it unplayable
Title screen, Varric doing his monologue and character creation all play sound with no problem but the second I got to the first cutscene with my rook and then into Mintrathous the sound is constantly crackling and cutting out. Have tried every possible audio setting in game and updated drivers. (On windows 10)
Lucanis romance bug after Act 1 decision
Because it's DEFINITELY a bug that lucanis is perma-locked out of romance if you don't save Treviso, while you get to still romance neve eventually for the EQUAL and opposite decision? Especially while not telling us so, with text simply saying that growing the relationship will progress slower after being hardened (the SAME thing it says for neve's romance, which is still possible while lucanis' isn't as far as anyone has been able to discover) EA wouldn't punish one of the romance options that would be predominantly chosen by women while most male players get to save a city AND get the girl. As well as having a romance that completely locks you out of the best ending if you pursue it, when NO OTHER companion romance is tethered to a big plot decision like that.
Character appearance resets after loading a save
This problem started when I first started playing the game. For some reason, if I try to load an old save, it seems like there a 2/3 chance of it loading in a standard default character appearance. On trialling it, sometimes quitting the game and reloading the most recent save works, but any older saves revert the appearance. There also still a chance of it happening even on the most recent save. I can take screenshots if necessary. I'm playing the game from Steam, if that helps make things clearer.Dragon Age: Veilguard Crashes within a minute
Just got the game on steam. It loads up, then goes into the settings selection menu. Within a few seconds, it freezes and crashes. I tried speeding through the settings, reducing graphics from Ultra to High, same thing. Graphics card (NVIDIA 4090) and Windows is already updated.Rook's Face Changes when loading a save
When loading into a save I created instead of one of the saves the game generates on it own (auto save, temporary decision saves, etc.), my rook's face will change to one of the default presets and they become bald. If I go to the Mirror of Transformation, their face returns to the custom face I made at the start of the game, but I have to go into edit, change nothing, and finalize again for it to save Rook's face when I exit the mirror. If I load into a temporary decision/chapter save, my face is fine, If I use an auto save most of the time it's fine, though I have had my face reset by some of the auto-saves. For some reason, I have not had this issue while loading saves made in the Arlathan Forest. Yet. For reference, I am playing on pretty much the minimum requirements of the game: HDD, GTX 1660 super graphics card, 32 GB RAM, I can't remember what my CPU is but I can add it later after looking it up. I know when I compared it to the minimum requirements CPU before Veilguard launched, it preformed comparably.
Lucanis ACT 1 Companion Quest is Bugged: Bidding Farewell
So I do want to say I have had to start over, I was 30 hours into my first save, because I missed a companion quest and realize they are important for late game. So I decided to just start over. I’ve been looking into how to romance characters and keeping them alive while trying to stay as spoiler free as possible, but did see about how the choice for Minrathos and Treviso can cause bothe Lucanis and Neve to harden depending on which you choose. I chose Treviso in my first playthrough and plan to do it on my second because A, I decided to pick being a Crow as a background and B, I wanted to Romance Lucanis. People were saying that if you didn’t pick Treviso it would lock you out but now that I’m back and doing his first couple of companion quests, I realized something. The Bidding Farewell Companion Quest does NOT trigger as complete. So essentially not only does it lock you of of the Hero status for end game, but I also think it locks you out of the romance as well. Can anyone confirm to me whether this quest is complete for them? It’s the quest where you go to the little get together for the first Talon. I also checked my old save file and it isn’t marked as a Completed Quest there either.
Ultimate Keeps Resetting to Default After Patch
See title.This was not an issue I was having whatsoever before the N7 Day patch, but after patch my ultimate keeps sneakily resetting to the default one instead of my specialization ultimate. It does seem to help if I swap between the two a few times when I notice it's reset, but it does eventually happen again. Restarting the game client can also temporarily resolve it, but has the same eventual recurrence.
Hair color keeps changing
I’m playing Veilguard on PS5, and I have a medium blonde preset hair color. It changes constantly depending on the lighting (despite looking fine in the different lighting options of character creation); for instance, sometimes it’s black, other times it’s brown, etc. The game seems to be running fine otherwise, but the hair color changing wildly is frustrating! Just wanted to report it in case others were experiencing it as well.
Crackling audio
I've seen a few others report this issue but I'm having it as well. Basically I get cracking audio as soon as I load into Minrathous. It sounds awful and the dialogue from Varric sounds crackly and distorted as well. I tried verifying that my sound drivers are up to date (they are), tried reinstalling them (no change in the issue) and I also tried tweaking every audio setting in the game to see if that changed anything. No dice there either. I also checked my audio settings and I don't have any enhancements enabled nor do I have spatial sonic sound on. At a bit of a loss as to how to fix this. Does anyone have any ideas?
Ultimate Skill keeps resetting
Hi all! Been having a blast with Veilguard. One issue has kept popping up for me and I'm not seeing much discussion of it so I thought I'd post here just in case. I keep discovering that my Ultimate Skill has been reset to the default one. I'm playing a Champion Warrior, so I'd like to be using Warden's Fire, and every few combats I find that I somehow have Flashing Fists equipped again. I'm generally only noticing this when I go to actually use my ultimate and then notice it's the wrong one, so I'm not sureprecisely how often it's happening, but it's happened two or three times at least in the past couple of hours of gameplay. I'm on PC and have the latest update. Cheers!
Cant finish Regrets of the Dread Wolf
In Heights of Athim, I jumped down the Path of Solas memories by mistake and held on the ledge and went out of the area... After a while i came back to finish the quest, but now when i jump down, the Memory wont trigger and the Path is blocked a little later.. Bc the script wont start, theres no way for me to get the last Wolf statuette. I already progressed to far to reload an older save...
