NHL 25 Feedback
I won’t be buying NhL 26 and encourage everyone to do the same. Maybe finally the devs will put some effort into fixing this crap. The game is literally unplayable. For a 2025 iteration of gaming console sports game how has the franchise fallen so much. It feels mechanical with too many bugs to list. I’ve never had ZErO FUN playing a EA Sports hockey game. It’s actually super frustrating. Everything they advertised as improvements is actually worse than last year. The smart AI is a joke. Anyways, knowing EA they want to hide this kind of honest feedback so hopefully thongs change but either all the passionate hockey game devs have moved on or the few that are left have no say and its all about micro transactions. This core game STINKS Edit: Modified the title to better reflect the content of the thread. -CMfedero52 hours agoSeasoned Rookie574Views8likes37CommentsQuestion regarding the most recent Pack Exclusive Rick Nash Card
Hello! I was told by EA Support to post this to get some clarification. But, during the first week of the Origins event, HUT promoted a Rick Nash card that could be found in packs. As he is my favorite player. I opened some packs with coins, and I bought points as well. I didn't pull him, but I wanted to see what he was going for on the market. I checked pretty much daily until he was out of packs and no one was selling. Can anyone confirm that he was in packs? I feel a little misled and hope this wasn't any false advertisement.5Views0likes1CommentStatement on NHL 25 Cheating and Competitive Integrity
I’ve played NHL for years because I love the competitive spirit, strategy, and teamwork it requires. But this year, NHL 25 has been one of the most frustrating experiences to date. I'm not complaining about losing — I’m fine with taking a loss. But losing to multiple clubs who consistently score 8 goals on 11 shots using obvious exploits and possibly Cronus Zen devices? That’s not competition — that’s broken gameplay. The 3v3 World of Chel mode has become a hub for exploiters. It's filled with maxed-out builds, stamina glitches, and input manipulation that give unfair advantages. It’s making the EASHL Finals nearly unplayable for anyone playing honestly. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to EA, and I urge others who care about this game to speak up. We need stronger anti-cheat enforcement, investigation into Cronus Zen usage, and a serious fix for the current state of ranked play. We deserve a fair game.the_forced_jedi3 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer183Views3likes13CommentsBe A Pro deserves more, no more hidden progression, no more copy paste seasons!
Dear EA NHL Dev Team I have been playing NHL 25 Be A Pro intensively, and while the on-ice gameplay is enjoyable, it is clear that Be A Pro remains neglected. What many players feel, but EA continues to ignore, is that this mode has not evolved in any meaningful way. It is stale, repetitive, and far from its potential. One of the biggest issues is the completely hidden XP system for skill points. There is no visible XP bar. No progress tracker. No feedback at all. We play full matches, win trophies, score goals, or hit milestones, but we are left guessing whether it even mattered. We can go from 91 to 92 overall and still receive no skill point. This makes it feel like we are grinding blind, and that destroys any motivation to keep going. This is not acceptable for a career mode. In other sports titles like FIFA or NBA 2K, progression is clear and rewarding. Be A Pro should match that standard. The player deserves to know what actions contribute to earning skill points, how much XP is needed, and whether the overall level means anything beyond a number. We are not asking for easy progression or shortcuts. We are asking for visibility. A simple XP progress bar under the player profile would fix this issue instantly. It is a basic feature in 2025 and should have been there years ago. What makes this worse is that Be A Pro receives almost no meaningful updates. Every year it feels like the same version with small edits. The most common complaints across Reddit and EA forums are easy to find. Be A Pro still uses the same scenes and menus as NHL 21. There is no storyline, no meaningful decisions, no agency. Dialogues are generic and do not reflect your actual career. Traits and perks were added, but the mode itself has not changed. There is no chemistry system, trade logic, or sense of career progression. These are not isolated complaints. These are repeated by players every year. But the same cycle continues. Be A Pro should feel like a true hockey RPG. A career mode with immersion, progression, character building, and dynamic storylines. Right now it feels like a leftover side project. NHL 26 is your opportunity to fix this. If the dev team truly wants to improve the Be A Pro experience, it starts with respecting the time and effort of the players who actually enjoy the mode. Make the system transparent. Give it depth. Build something we can look forward to instead of something we tolerate. The future of Be A Pro depends on whether you start treating it like a core part of the game and not an afterthought. Sincerely A player who believes Be A Pro can become something great And on behalf of everyone who had to Google how skill points work because the game refused to explain itGeneralthorp8 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer8Views0likes1Commentneed to remove some animation for the goalies... they are pathetic...(clips)
I am clearly not the only one here who finds that the goalies are terribly bad this year (and sometimes make unimaginable stops which are not very logical), but I think we should have a question about the animations because too often it happens things like you will see in these clips below.kKOV278 hours agoNew Ace311Views6likes9CommentsBe A Pro should be a real hockey RPG, not just a mode with menus
Dear EA NHL Dev Team I bought a PlayStation 5 specifically to play NHL 25 and experience Be A Pro as it was advertised. I love hockey. Like many fans, I grew up dreaming about playing in the NHL. Be A Pro should be the mode that brings that dream to life. Right now, it barely scratches the surface. What is missing is everything that makes a real career exciting. There are no sponsorships, no managers, no training systems that feel dynamic. There is no real interaction with coaches or teammates, no contract negotiations, no pressure from fans or media. It is just menus, upgrades, and simulation. Be A Pro should be more than that. It should feel like an actual hockey RPG. Give us the choice to pick our manager or agent. Let us sign sponsor deals and get rewarded for personal achievements like hat tricks or playoff success. Let us interact with coaches, demand more ice time, deal with injuries, or even make off-ice decisions that affect our career. Add meaningful dialogues. Let us choose a personality type that actually influences how we are treated by media and teammates. Let chemistry matter. Let a trade request mean something. Make training feel like it shapes the player, not just a button press. If this was ever released on PC, with mod support, the community would take this mode to another level. But even on console, this should be the flagship experience of the game. NHL is the dream. Be A Pro is where we are supposed to live it. Be A Pro should not be a forgotten side mode. It should be a full journey. From juniors to the draft, to breaking out as a rookie, becoming a captain, earning awards, facing setbacks, and writing your legacy. That is what makes a sports game great. Please give this mode the love and depth it deserves in NHL 26. Sincerely A lifelong hockey fan who bought a PS5 to chase the NHL dreamGeneralthorp9 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer10Views0likes0CommentsOn the fly line changes and revrse hitting.
How are we still getting forwards put on on defense in July. You guys have literally had all year to fix and it's still terrible. And in what ****** world does Clayton Keller knock over nikko mikola with a reverse hit. Make that actually work correctly and you'd actually have something. Fix this for NHL 26. Shameful on the fly line changes still aren't fixed in July of this year. Could argue disgraceful and disrespectful to the community. You guys need some serious code work for NHL 26. #stopthereskinFenrirs-Revenge919 hours agoSeasoned Novice11Views2likes0CommentsNHL 26 early wishlist (let’s make NHL great again)
First off I will say nhl 25 is actual a huge step up im liking it so far , but it’s missing some details to feel complete.. full presentation needs to return and add more to what we had in the past games In edit player menu have the ability to change the color of sticks and gloves (nhl 2k had this) and now players have been customizing their own as well. Customizable tape job (adjust length on shaft and blade and not have it preset) And add the ability to edit goalie masks. hitting and collisions need to be tweaked to more realism. Franchise: be able to control more than one team able to scout and sign players from other leagues(I.E europe) Real coaches or at least customizable coaches A customizable GM character, have conversations be shown like it is in fifa where your Gm Meets the player. office similarly to dynasty mode in nhl 2004 On the hub where we get details of what went on in other games we can see highlights (either by clip or a screen shot) with description such as ‘stamkos nets a hat trick in last nights win’ and a small clip or screen shot showing stamkos scoring his 3rd goal. Be a pro: change up the whole be a pro game mode make it more like life the life. ability to use NhL players to continue their career or an nhl legend Street clothes for off days and make it interactive. If I buy a condo or a house i want to actualy see my self living in it. Same with the car we get, be able to drive around (a small map) and not just be a attribute boost. Pond hockey pick up games you can walk to or drive to when you leave your ‘house’ Call it a ‘hall of fame room’ similar to skybox 2k had in nhl2k5 where you had the Stanley cup and other interactive stuff and unlockables. Be able to decide to start from being drafted at 18 or create a 30 year old forward who just signed with an nhl team etc.. more interactive with teammates and coaches and GM list of teams you want to be traded to etc.. extras add winter classic and all star game (skills + game) both as a play now mode and also in franchise and be a pro. player retiring playing their last game get a ovation from crowd. Announce the player will retire 1 game before their last skate with the cup (playoff mode, season mode , franchise and be a pro) Tweak the fighting engine and allow more than one fight happening at once. this is a lot of an ask, but if we can get half of these implemented we are definitely heading Into greatness with NhL games.Serrecchia9924 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer5.1KViews17likes46CommentsGoalie interference desperately needs fixing for NHL 26

That's all Folks
I have finally reached the point. It took me 2 years to make this step. But before, a brief overview of my relationship to EA Sports NHL games. It all started when I got my first XBOX - I believe it was in 2003. I wanted to have the XBOX so badly, just for the sake of being able to play NHL. I immediatly purchased NHL2003 from EA Sports and I was very happy with the game. I purchased every single game up till 2008 where I took a break from playing XBOX for other reasons. In 2023 my son persuaded me to get the XBOX series X so that we could play NHL online together, which I did. I got NHL2023 as xmas gift from him and we started playing. I immediately felt the big difference between the last version of NHL I had played and the new one. It took me quite a while to get the feeling for the new game at that time, but I kind of got it and could compete pretty well, which I did back in the time as well. Then we moved on to buying NHL2024. Wow, there was a big difference to NHL2023. Somehow the game felt completely different. And then this new feature with the pressure clock ticking. I had the feeling for the first time, that the game itself is actually interfering. It was for the first time, that I played games when suddenly after a while my team felt completely lousy and slow, but the oponent sort of had a boost and I had no chance. Well, I got pretty upset then, but I kept on going. I purchased NHL2025 then and playing it for the first time, it was brutal. It felt even way more different as ever before. I played this game basically daily up till today and I never could develop a feeling for the game. I now KNOW for a fact, that the game is interfering BIG TIME and the times when you would have equal winning chances are gone, cause the game just doesnt let you. Yesterday, I have finally deleted the games from my XBOX after I played my last game and lost big time again. My frustration level with the game has reached the top of the iceberg and I will no longer support a game that makes you lose on purpose. No thanks, I will no longer invest my hard earned money in this kind of game. I wont purchase any more NHL games as long as this has not been fixed. You guys from EA have lost yet another once VERY happy customer. So, that's all (EA-)Folks!RoyLegato773 days agoSeasoned Rookie267Views6likes12CommentsHow does matchmaking work during club finals?
I was just wondering if you could explain any changes to matchmaking during club finals. Is the player base split between the cups? We are a lower win percentage team (high 30s low 40s) but we are in the Elite Cup, and during club finals we basically are only getting matched against teams in the 60-80% win percentage range. I think we have seen 1 team below 50% since finals have started.SolvedKirkMac3 days agoNew Traveler163Views1like10CommentsNHL25 AI TOTAL GARBAGE
I have not played an NHL game since NHL14, I decided to try out NHL25 and went out on a whim and purchased at full price. This game is annoying as heck to get back into playing and relearning game mechanics. Rookie is too easy, Semi-Pro is too, Pro is a step-up from those two but the game completely bends you over and pulls your hair at All-Star and Superstar modes. There have been instances where the CPU attack is non-stop, not missing any sort of deke on me or my CPU and getting 100% passing for an offensive attack and even skating faster than all my players. It seems like the AI just upscales the hell out if itself on my attacking zone, I can defend well in the neutral zone and can even defend well in beginning portion of the attacking zone but once the AI gets going in the heart of the O-Zone, neither me nor any of my CPU players able to get a stick lift, poke OR body check. It may be a bug but there have been times (only on All-Star and Superstar) where I am change my lines manually and the skaters refuse to leave the ice, even after stoppage in play, even with zero stamina and multiple attempts to change to different lines. I am not new to NHL games but I have been out of the game for a while and I am close to breaking a controller with how frustrating it is trying to learn to get better at the game and getting this sort of gameplay when playing solo. I can already tell what kind of responses I may get and people may point out that the sliders are there to help with the difficulty. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE DIFFICULTY SETTING IN THE FIRST PLACE???? Has this been addressed by EA? Will it be addressed? What sliders do you all use to help me out with the AI being obnoxious?izzaymang4 days agoSeasoned Newcomer654Views3likes7CommentsSimple Goalie Request
Please can you get the dev team to make the goalies stop poke checking at pucks? Every single time they poke check towards a puck they miss it completely every time and get scored on, its an animation that is really not necessary or needed and is a big reason for alot of goals being scored. Remove that one animation from them and i think personally they might actually stop more pucks, i have seen them try to poke check a puck instead of actually making the proper saves they are suppose to make! :/ frustrating to see them poke at the stupidest of times honestly. :) That is all!DistortedFuzz835 days agoNew Scout46Views1like3CommentsLast Name Offensive Flag - False Positive
Hi, I typically play NHL 25 World of Chel with some kind of variation of my real name, for obvious reasons I want to stop using my real name or something close to it however, when I try to change my last name to "Bladez" it gets flagged as offensive and doesn't let me do it. My psn is Bladez74- so im just trying to use Bladez. I can swap the Z to an S and that works, but I'd like to use the Z. Any solution? is this something that can be fixed? or am I out of luck.Bladez745 days agoRising Newcomer33Views0likes2CommentsFull Pressure System needs to change...
Let me first start by saying that I loved the idea of the Full Pressure System when it was first introduced. It's a great way to mimic those crowd cheering moments when your team is hemming the opposing team in their own zone and getting line changes while they are stuck exhausted begging for a whistle. That being said however, the functionality of it needs to change if the goal was to experience this type of feeling. The biggest issue I find with it is in HOW the meter is depleted over time. What I saw in 25 was that shots were being fired as soon as you crossed the blue line for the sake of filling the meter and draining the goalie stamina. When you got the puck back and entered their zone, that meter didn't deplete much. In fact, I did a test in game to see just how much is lost below: Full Pressure issue You can see that after nearly 30 seconds in their zone, that meter only was reduced by 40% of its total or 2 bars worth, which is just about how much one shot or hit even fills up. There should be no reason this meter doesn't decrease fully after about 5 to maybe 10 seconds out of the zone or just emptied the second you enter the attacking zone. This is what caused a lot of confusion at times with players going "oh one shot and they get full pressure" when the truth was "oh one shot" (plus the hit on me and shot they took from a minute ago) "and they get full pressure". The other thing I will say is that if a whistle does happen (that is not due to Icing), the full pressure should then be removed completely as well. The idea of this system should be for rewarding good pressure in the opposing teams zone and perhaps neutral zone while denying the opposing team the chance to change lines (or in EASHL just get some pressure off and stamina back). Feel free to add anything you think? I am hoping 26 addressed this a little bit.hiperay5 days agoSeasoned Veteran60Views4likes1CommentIcon player switching for NHL 26 is a must
Just like the title says. The game will be behind the 8 ball on release if icon player switching without the puck isn't implemented. It's been 2 iterations of icon player passing now. It needs to be implemented for NHL 26 to allow faster defensive swaps instead of having to hold the trigger and down and hope the sticks registers to the right player at the right time. I love to create teams/leagues/cups and more in the offline modes, and I think many of the things I list down below is more than me that would love to have it in the game. I made the list four years ago, and we are still missing a lot from the list in the game, so why not post it again.... Some of the things are probably easy to implement in the game but gives us a game that we would love even more. And some of the things would take more effort from EA to implement but would still make the NHL game even better than it is today. More National teams from D1 A and D1 B (Even if there is generated players like in Japan, Ukraine...) Romania - China - Croatia - Estonia - Lithunia and Spain. There is a few problems with the National Teams setup in NHL games right now. * There is doubles of the same players in the roster file. Thats means that if you move out a player from the National team roster, there is two of the same player in the World in many cases. * You can´t edit a player if he is only in the National Team roster. If you want to edit the player you need to move him to a club team, edit him and then move in back to the national Team. Lots of extra work there. * You can´t have players under the age of 18 in the National Team roster, We all remember the Rasmus Dahlin problem in the last Olympic Games, everyone had to create a custom Rasmus Dahlin to be able to have him in the Swedish Olympic roster. And we all know that there is always a few young upcoming stars playing in the World Championships for some nations, that we have to manually create. And we also have to cheat the system even with a created player. - Change his age to +18, assign him to the National team, and then change his age back to under 18. My idéa of a solution to all of this three problems is that we handel National Teams rosters the same way we handel created teams rosters. We assign players to the team with an option like in Create a team roster, and only get copies of the players in the roster. If we remove the player from the national team, there is no double anywhere. And we get the option to actually edit players in the National team roster. (And yes it will change the real player in the club team he is on). More leagues: Slovakian Extraliga EIHL (Great Britain) Mestis (Finnish second division) Alphs Hockey league USHL NCAA Customization (This is the big part of the wishlist and would make the game - Play - No limits) 😉 - Be able to use all logos that is already in the game (not only NHL and ECHL) when creating a team - Be able to fully edit all players in a franchise save (change RW to LW for example) - Be able to have arenas that is not PRO in the Franchise mode/create a club, like its in EASHL clubs in the beginning. - Remove the limit to move an underaged player to only a CHL Team in Player Movement - Rosters. (In Europe underaged players do change teams IRL) - Citys that are missing when creating a team or player: Sweden: Huddinge, Kiruna, Halmstad, Karlstad, Gävle, Ängelholm, Örnsköldsvik, Kristianstad, Norrköping, Karlskoga, Uppsala, Västerås, Tingsryd, Ljungby, Västervik, Oskarshamn, Boden, Kallinge Finland: Rovaniemi, Joensuu, Vantaa, Forssa, Kokkola, Kajaani, Iisalmi, Imatra, Keuruu Russia: Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Podolsk, Khanty Mansiysk, Voskresensk, Vladivostok. Austria: Salzburg, Villach, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck, Linz, Graz EIHL: Belfast, Coventry, Cardiff, Dundee, Kirkcaldy, Guilford, Sheffield Slovakia: Banska Bystrica, Kosice, Nove Zamky, Presov, Liptovsky Mikulas, Michalovce, Trencin, Nitra, Poprad, Spisska Nova Ves, Zvolen. Poland: Tychy, Kraków, Katowice, Oświęcim, Nowy Targ, Sanok, Sosnowiec, Jastrzębie (JKH GKS from CHL), Toruń, Krynica, Gdańsk, Bytom Ukraine: Kremenchuk, Kiev, Donetsk Norway: Oslo, Lillehammer Kazakstan: Nur-Sultan, Astana Lituania: Vilnius, Elektrenai, Kaunas Others: Riga (Latvia), Minsk (Belarus), Tallinn (Estonia, Ljubljana (Slovenia), Shenzhen (China), Seoul (South Korea), Anyang (South Korea), Lake Placid (NY, USA) Playoff mode - Be able to play just the playoffs from any of the 13 leagues in the game, not just NHL. (Like you can in season mode) (It looks odd men Two teams from Finland wins Stanley Cup and not Liiga in playoffs mode for example) - Be able to make a custom playoff mode - name and teams in it Tournament mode Be able to create a custom tournament (for example Olympics, World Cup or others) and not just Spengler Cup and Champions Hockey League Be able to swap the teams in Spengler Cup and Champions Hockey league Franchise Mode - Have the opportunity to send players to their ECHL affiliate, and not just to the AHL affiliate. - Be able to fully edit generated players in the draft (or be able to do it after the draft, change face, name, etc) - Be able to edit the names and apperance on the generated coaches in your team (NHL + AHL) Add - non american names to players born in Norway, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia for the generated players in draft. (Your friends at FIFA have a good name pool for these countries) - Be able to set future expansions team between seasons in the Franchise mode Play Now Mode - Have the opportunity to choose what arena the game will be played on. (And options to choose from every arena in the game or created in Create a team mode or the standard EASHL and CHEL arenas) - Have the opportunity to choose if the game will be played in a outdoor rink (with those options for arena, maybe even the ones from CHEL and EASHL) - Have the opportunity to choose the value of the game that will be played. (For example World Championship semifinal, Stanley Cup Conference Final or LIIGA Final with those logos and settings for commentators and winning ceremony) League mode Be able to create a custom league (not custom franchise mode) (be able to set number of teams, set the amount of divisions/conferences/or just have the European way with no division and conferences and if you want to have a relegation/promotion league system) And then be able to choose freely what clubs you want to have in the mode. Choose what kind of league Logo and name you want it to have. I was thinking that not all of us want to play Franchise mode with 32 teams, but we still would like to play more than one season. Because the problem with Franchise mode is that its connected with AHL (farm teams). Arenas Be able to change and edit the arenas for teams that have a generic arena. For example if I play with Växjö Lakers, the arena is now EA Sports Arena, Stockholm. I should be able to edit what arena Växjö have in the game and be able to rename it to Vida Arena in Växjö (just like you can change and edit generic arenas in FIFA for those teams that dont have a licensed one in the game). CHL (Champions Hockey League) Be able to change the teams before you start a season, just like you can do before you start a league season in the game. These are the ones I wish now. But if EA NHL would like to know more of these ones, be free to contact me, I would love to help creating even a better NHL game.MV755 days agoSeasoned Veteran73Views3likes3Comments
