Early Access Feedback Thread
Would like to hear everyone's first impressions so far. I've only been on for like 5 minutes but have noticed some stuff worth mentioning. Main menu - It doesn't necessarily hurt the game but I feel having a second "enter mode" box underneath everything is an aesthetically odd choice. Removing that in a future patch would look slightly better. Loading - Cmooooooon like jeez, you ditched last gen, we should be able to load into stuff a lot faster than this :( Edit Player (Chel) - I have a new LG C3 (has the fancy stuff like VRR and G-Sync or whatever) with the right cables and connections and am on game mode but there is still so much stutter/blur when the player is whipping his head around when selecting faces. It's been like this for years now and while technically not a game breaker, it does show a lack of polish (or rather, it brings certain problems further into the spotlight). Holy cow just stand still! I'd like the ability to compare at least a few faces to each other instead of long-swapping between em. ALLOW ME TO IMPORT PREVIOUS YEAR'S CHARACTER DATA ALREADY!!!! (Same goes for custom teams). Holy lol, did the whole budget go into new gen hair? I got a pretty sick Shrek Prince Charming thing going here... Another zero effort trophy list; still retains the greatness trophy for breaking Gretzky's record which is beyond painful/boring for anyone who doesn't live for offline BaP. Remove the "Reset Player Class" popup - Yeah duh all my stats will reset when changing classes and stuff - Please give us the option to at least toggle never having to see it after the first time. Same bone-headed AI as before; honestly don't see any difference, especially on faceoffsUpdate on Matchmaking

Goalie fatigue needs to go in NHL 25
The fatigue system was a good idea, but very poorly implemented. Puck retrievals during fatigue as well as clearing the zone continue to be absolutely atrocious. An NHL player can lob a puck from their own zone, through the neutral zone and into the O-zone from their own redline, but in NHL we can't get the clear to go past the blue line. Slapshots and wrist clears are auto-grabbed by players like they're first basemen. Now with this in mind it seems EA is doubling down on the fatigue in 25 by not only leeching the energy of the team being pinned down, but adding energy back to the other team to make it has frustrating as possible to get the puck out of the zone, only for them to come right back in if you don't clear the neutral zone. After all this, the goalies will not gain their energy back quick enough and will fatigue down to let the most ridiculous shots go through them while they're flailing on the ice having a asthma and heart attack. Why do the strangest decisions for this game keep getting made year after year?

I'm excited that the focus this year was offline, specifically franchise mode. But I have to say, I am equally disappointed that full presentation is not back. The team knows how requested it is, and I'm sure they've seen our suggestions by now that it be on a toggle switch for those who aren't as interested. I understand the syncing issues might make it impossible to do for online, but it could have just been put back into offline modes since that's what the team was working on anyway.EA SPORTS NHL 25 Patch Blog 1

Glitch goals carrying over from 24?
Are we going to see the same scenarios over and over again like 24. We had the cross crease goals that tbf was mostly fixed. They still go in from time to time but they are easier to stop. One that is used constantly now is cutting in and shooting to the far post. 90% of goals are scored like that in 24. Its been worse since they made the cross crease goals harder to do. I know whatever happens they'll be glitch goals in 25 but at least have a few so not every game is the same.What exactly is NHL 25s selling point?
My nhl friends ask me, what is the selling point? Does anyone have any idea? Ice Q? Better AI positioning, the ability to open up your hips while using vision control? With the news of no GM Connected, because clearly 11 years of development time isn't enough , (yet somehow hut continues to get nonstop resources) during that time , what exactly is the selling point. I can't understand any reason to buy this game. The game releases in 2 weeks, ea keeps pushing preorders, and all they've done is released a 4 min video "deep dive" (last year's was over 15 minutes!) , and a blog post that took 5 minutes to write regarding minor presentation adjustments. Let's not forget about the revolutionary score bug update, sorry I forgot. This game has no identity, no life, no hype a mere 2 weeks before launch. At this point we have revamped franchise mode, which I guess will be another 5 minute blog post? Why even highlight revamped franchise mode if getting connected franchise wasn't going to happen? How do the other ea titles have it? Ea keeps asking saying they need to look into what fans want, just copy the other ea games! We just want an online franchise mode that isn't buggy with many commissioner settings to tinker with. NHL 25 is honestly appearing to be the most minimal effort, disappointing NHL game since NHL 15. Classic NHL94 Controls
I see others have posted separate threads on basic game requirements, so here's another. Will Nhl25 bring back the classic controls that were removed in the 24 edition? Many of us require/enjoy the classic controls and were unable to play last year's game. New features, preorders, and other discussions really have no relevance to us until this is answered. Until then we're all still with nhl23.
return of nhl 94 controls in nhl 25
I would like to know if it would be possible to have the nhl 94 controls returned in nhl 25? I bought the game last year and was never able to get used to it even with the hybrid controls. It's not true that hybrid controls are the same. If we are able to go to the moon why can't you bring back the nhl 94 controls?? there is a petition circulating and several people are like me and ask for the return of the nhl 94 controls will you bring them back yes or no??Patch 1.1.0 Are you serious?
Anyway absolutely nothing that I and others have requested has been included in this patch, purchasing the deluxe edition was pointless for us who play chel as its not worth playing with the features that are missing and certain bugs... I'm disgusted the game has released as it has, and will 110 percent not be buying another EA Sports NHL game again on release... From lack of feedback (apart from one of the community managers which has been nothing constructive) I genuinely believe unless they bring someone new in to make these games how they used to be its potentially a downhill from here... I know many others who wont buy your games day one again either, and it's sad because of the memories many of us make on your game. Please get the passion back, this is the last post I will be putting on here and will wait to see if the devs actually patch what we have asked for...
