Patch 1.1.1 forget the exact match setting (screenshot) its very important
Can we have as many likes as possible on this topic so that they can add the exact match setting. And as quickly as possible. We want the NHL 24 eashl setting back Here what we want to have : ✔️ Here what we dont want to have :⛔898Views32likes33CommentsFull Presentation
I'm excited that the focus this year was offline, specifically franchise mode. But I have to say, I am equally disappointed that full presentation is not back. The team knows how requested it is, and I'm sure they've seen our suggestions by now that it be on a toggle switch for those who aren't as interested. I understand the syncing issues might make it impossible to do for online, but it could have just been put back into offline modes since that's what the team was working on anyway.jerseytide7 months agoNew Hotshot824Views20likes31CommentsFix the matchmaking in WoC
Hi, feels nice to pay 60% more for a game that is actually broken. Our team has played the whole week and everyday its hours sitting in the dressing room as we are connected to North America opponents while we are based in Europe. Matchmaking fix needs to happen fast. Just bring back the same options as you did have in the 24.. Please react fast as ppl are really getting angry inside the community because you cannot play decent games in EASHL/WoC. Also add the match my room size in there. Thanks bye.knuzon6 months agoSeasoned Novice410Views19likes8Comments“Flex cam” Goal Celebrations
Please, for the love of god, I beg of you PLEASE make it an option to turn off the “flex cam” goal celebrations. I seriously cannot think of anything more inauthentic and flat out annoying in the entire game. They look terrible, and I’m sorry, but nobody, NOBODY in the NHL celebrated goals like how the flex cam moments do. They ignore their teammates and stand in an awkward pose, and you can’t even skip it. Please please please please PLEASE make it an option to turn it off. The regular celebrations were completely fine the way they were! What was even the reason to change them? Come on.jwaits6 months agoNew Traveler1.1KViews18likes31CommentsWOC - Why did you destroy the matchmaking?
What has happened to the matchmaking in World of Chel? We have been enthusiastically playing 6vs6 in World of Chel for years. Since NHL25 this enthusiasm is dwindling more and more. NHL24: Finding opponents in 6vs6 usually took less than a minute. The opponents we found were all at the same level as our club. Every now and then some opponents were 2-3 rank levels better, but overall it was perfect and we had exciting and close games. NHL25: I don't even want to mention the missing matchmaking filter and the bug where a game is only found if you leave the lobby several times. This is simply not right for a full-price game if such bugs have existed since launch. Furthermore, the opponent search usually takes 8-10 minutes. The opponents found are then no longer at our level but well above it. Our players are at silver - gold level. At best, the opposing teams have platinum ranks. Usually even higher. That kills any fun in the game. I don't understand why you came up with the idea of changing what we consider to be perfect matchmaking and now have such a broken and unsatisfactory solution in the game. I hope you get this under control, otherwise we will turn our backs on your game series after many years of fun. Needless to say that all of our club members are also avid HUT players and thus help to finance the CHEL mode.centennials5 months agoNew Traveler1.2KViews15likes25CommentsThe State of EANHL
As a staple elite rank player in WOC for about 5 years now & a big user of the offline modes I have a good understanding of how genuinely bad this game is. Offline modes are shoved to the side so EA can prioritize HUT. All gaming companies focus on what makes them additional money, understood, but there are bugs in these offline modes that are game breaking. There’s a bug in BAP for the past 3 games now where the entire game freezes during a coach interaction. And that’s it. Your be a pro is officially ended. I discovered this bug in both NHL 23 and 24. Reported it to the EA forums with video evidence. The reply I received was “this will continue to happen and hopefully we can fix it next game but for now, make sure to avoid quick closing/resuming your game” and when I told them that simply wasn’t good enough for the price point & people agreed, the community managers locked the post to stop further dialogue between the players. EANHL absolutely loves to take features out of games then add it back a few years later. Not only does this distract from other issues that need to be talked about, they commonly promote these things as being new, which is false advertisement, as is the promotion of the conversation system in be a pro, as when it first came out they marketed it as creating a way more diverse experience. Instead, my coach is telling me to go out there and swing momentum. After the game is done and I’m walking down the tunnel… There has been a cosmetic bug in the game for 4 (maybe 5) years now, where in WOC dressing room you will have on the teams uniform that you just played or are about to play. This is not a big deal but also shows the genuine carelessness and “doesn’t matter, they’ll give us their money anyways” attitude that is very readable. Repeated face off bug in WOC has also been in the game for 4-5 years now, where the game starts, resets to the faceoff seconds later, and does that 5 times before ending the game. Similar to the cosmetic bug (but obviously worse as it affects the playing of the game directly) this shows how EANHL really does not care about the product they’re putting in the store. Name a sports game that wouldn’t have this bug removed by the next game update, or AT LEAST the next game. I’ll wait… The menu is OVERWHELMINGLY slow for a game released in 2024. The loading times have improved. But navigating the menu itself, ESPECIALLY in franchise mode I’ve noticed is VERY slow and buggy. I click on a player to see their stats and have to wait 5 seconds before I can even start to move to the stats tab. They only change the menu & general game layout every 3 years when they release annually. Don’t need to elaborate there. The gameplay itself is below average. And it’s very easy to tell why as someone that’s played at a high level for a very long time - this game is aiming to be casual friendly, which is a HORRIBLE direction for almost any game to take as the dedicated players are usually the really good players. This argument is easily supported by the release of total control, as it makes moves that are supposed to take SKILL and IQ to set up & execute & makes it easy and accessible for anyone to do, even if you just loaded up an EANHL game for the first time. You dumb down the ceiling for skill, which means you allow luck to play more of a factor in the game. I have read a study that hockey is indeed the luckiest sport, but how many times in real life do you see teams out shoot their opponents by 15-20 shots and spend the entire game in the offensive zone and still lose by 2-3 goals? There are simple things that can be implemented to stop major issues. Picking up pucks requires skill IRL, especially when contested. You don’t have some magnet in your blade. Yet, in EANHL it seems like one game you do and the next game you wouldn’t be able to pick up a soccer ball with your blade if you tried. A dead by daylight styled skill check to all players within reach of the puck would be an amazing add. It doesn’t take a genius to know that just putting your player in position and HOPING that the game gets the puck for you isn’t sustainable and simply isn’t good enough. Again, price point. Franchise mode power play roles are still bugged after multiple years NEW BUGS: Player can’t line change in BAP and just skates into the boards & is penalized for a poor line change. Shot clock commonly reads the incorrect shots in all modes. The game commonly fully crashes in BAP mid game after simming to your next shift. I will add more new bugs to this post in the comments as I discover them, that’s if community managers don’t lock my post to stop meaningful dialogue between the players who have been ripped off. I’m sure there are a lot more problems in HUT as well even though they prioritize it so heavily, but I refuse to play that mode as it only encourages the company to not care about the rest of the game WHILE promoting gambling to children in a very cruel way (having them buy packs in hopes of drawing idols). In conclusion, if you genuinely support EANHL and their products, you’re either a HUT main with not much experience in other modes, or a mid/below mid player that benefits from EA’s constant pursuit of a casual friendly game. Thanks for the read!Solved484Views15likes22Comments- EA_Aljo7 months agoCommunity Manager786Views15likes21Comments
Team Builder in NHL 25
The addition of team builder to NHL 25 would be incredible. For many years, I have spent countless hours in the creation zone, creating hundreds of teams and thousands of players. Team Builder is far superior to the NHL creation zone. The creation zone has barely been updated since 2017 (maybe even longer?) and Team Builder would be a fantastic solution and a welcomed feature. This is something that benefits both online and offline players. Thanks EA.3.8KViews15likes7CommentsNHL 25 1.3.1 Patch Notes - Releasing 12/16

I've never felt the need to post anything regarding the NHL series until now. My first NHL game was 04 so I've seen the ebb and flow of this series, and it's definitely being riding a steady low for many years now. Let me set one thing clear first, I don't play online very much because the HUT system is largely response for the lack of development and care for any single player mode. I get NHL isn't a very popular series compared to the other sports games in EA arsenal but it still amassed a large enough fan base to dedicate more time and effort into the series. EA is a large successful business so I get that their main objective is to make as much money as possible from mircotransactions through online play, but that still doesn't justify the absolutely disgusting greed many people see in these games (EA Sports games). Every year you release a new title with minimal updates to anything, and when there is a big shift it takes seemingly takes away from other game modes. 99% of this forum is people complaining about the state of the game, every single year. The yearly releases are tiring and offer nothing new except a roster update (which can be downloaded by online rosters and community effort). It's long over due for there to be a change in how these games are released. Instead of yearly releases there needs to be flagship titles that receive constant updates to add content as well as roster updates. For example just "EA NHL" then after a few years "EA NHL 2". This way time can be put into each release that keep players coming back to potentially spend money on online play (use that line in your next meeting to keep the suits happy) If you remastered NHL 14 it would be the highest rated NHL game in years. At this point we feel we are playing shovelware slop. Some aspects of the game have been untouched for almost a decade. Every release has been 1 step forward 2 steps back. The poor menu speed, the terrible in game faces (looking at you bret burns) the unfair AI play that outclassed human team AI, the massive amount of glitches that come with every release, the absolutely disrespect towards single player. HUT features awesome customization and player freedom (unique jerseys, arenas, and design) that are entirely absent in single player. If I want to use unlocks in online in single player I should. I get its to keep you coming back to online play but seriously. The franchise mode is a great step and a blast to play, but again seriously lacking in details, control over AHL affiliates, and restricted to NHL. Finally be a pro. Wow. That is one of the worst game modes in the series. Every year it's the game slop, there's no sense of accomplishment in getting drafted because you automatically start in the playoffs, and highly favored. The in game "interactions" with cringe dialog are unbearable at times. No human talks like that. A story mode would revolutionize the series, sports stories are rarely good, but that the charm in them. They are meant to be cheesy feel good works. The live the life mode in 14 has yet to be met. Here are some improvements that I think are desperately needed a complete rework of be a pro An introduction of online unlocks into single player An overhaul of the creation hub: face sculpting, specific RGB codes not that wheel and triangle crap, more jerseys, more logos, better arena customization. A proper tutorial for beginner players that explain each position and ideal positioning (one of the hardest things I've noticed for new players to grasp) Better facial quality for in game animations, hair, animations, and overall appearance. The announcers need a desperate change especially the female, it seems all she does is complain and hate on the team and sounds like she does not want to be there. It's rather annoying after every save I have to hear about the butterfly or the start of every period she dumps on the losing team. A focus on player needs rather than milking money out of them as quick as possible then releasing a new slop fest for them to feed on I get this is 80% of the higher up causing these issues as the devs are in a constant crunch but these issues need to be addressed. And a proper hockey game with fun single player and online play could make serious bank. Hockey is a great game to play as a video game, that's not the issue for low sales. It's the lack of progress and corporate feeling in every release that people are tired of.kylar17713 months agoSeasoned Novice497Views12likes4CommentsMATCH TEAM SIZE NEEDS TO BE ADDED INTO 25
Why has this not been a thing since DAY 1, I get matched with 3 person teams when I only have 1 other person usually, they just walk to ai and I can't do anything about it because we should not have to watch more than 1 person. I should not be getting punished of MY RP and MY STATS because of stupid things like this. Either fix the AI d men or add a match room size. I'm trying to say this in the best way possible but this has gotten to the point where I am losing my mind over this.colepac176 months agoSeasoned Novice357Views12likes7CommentsCreation Zone - Disappointment
Another year of the same exact 10 arenas to choose from. Another year of the same logos. Another year of the same city and team names. Another year of ECHL logos but no AHL or CHL logos. Another year of pre ordering the game and immediately coming here to post my disappointment. Why is this mode so neglected?SnizzBarDizz2oh6 months agoNew Veteran244Views12likes6CommentsDidn't buy
Didn't buy this year's game. Likely won't buy next year's game.. Nearly every post on here confirms everything I believed. The devs have done so poorly that the player base is moving on. The sport itself is gaining popularity, despite this the game is losing population. This is only possible through gross incompetence. Year 1 with this new dev team we saw little changes as they claimed they didn't have time and despite the many bugs they didnt patch anything as they were focused on the next game. Year 2 we saw minor changes, they claimed most of their large updates would be multi year projects. Year 3 almost no updates, worse lobbies, almost no patches. It seems the EASHL community, HUT community, and offline community all feel they're being left out because changes must be happening in the modes they're not playing, right? I'm not sure as consumers we can do anything to right the ship. They claimed they were starting a discord so we may voice our concerns 2 years ago. They brought it back up on X about 5 months ago.. it's taking as long to open that up as any other update this game sees. This game is years behind every other EA title and now decades behind 2K. As they player pop drops we will see match making grow even worse. It's already no room size match, no rank match, AND long wait times? YIKES! Any game I play besides this game has FAR better matchmaking, I can't think of a single title that's close. HUT content from what I've heard has only grown worse/ more stale. BAP wasn't touched. EASHL they added robots or something? How many devs are working on this game? What are they doing? How many hours are they working? How much are they getting paid? How many more years before we see sizable updates? Is it a lack of ideas or ability that this game is just not able to keep up/ improve/ evolve. I'd love to see sales numbers over the last decade. I only see them continuing to drop. This game could be so much more fun with the right devs in place and a team who really cared. I see much more popular games where the devs are active with their community. Here.. we just hope they get word of what we think and we get no response in return. It's sad. This was my favorite game for a number of years, now I wouldn't play it for free..rsandersr473 months agoSeasoned Ace458Views11likes36CommentsDefensive interceptions and forced passes
https://www.xbox.com/play/media/UqwkfaLLvv I'll keep it short and semi-sweet. Play in question begins around the 20-second mark. 2-on-1 situation. Forced pass all the way from the boards to the far side of the net. I'm in the passing lane. My build has 94 defensive awareness and gold Quick Pick. Can't even disrupt the play at all. "wE dOn'T cAtEr To OfFeNsE!" Lmao. Ok, EA. Anyway absolutely nothing that I and others have requested has been included in this patch, purchasing the deluxe edition was pointless for us who play chel as its not worth playing with the features that are missing and certain bugs... I'm disgusted the game has released as it has, and will 110 percent not be buying another EA Sports NHL game again on release... From lack of feedback (apart from one of the community managers which has been nothing constructive) I genuinely believe unless they bring someone new in to make these games how they used to be its potentially a downhill from here... I know many others who wont buy your games day one again either, and it's sad because of the memories many of us make on your game. Please get the passion back, this is the last post I will be putting on here and will wait to see if the devs actually patch what we have asked for... Disapointed and disgusted would be an under statement, Cheers EA, LB Edit: Removed mentioning of moderation. This is against the Answers HQ rules. -CMLazyBuzzard866 months agoSeasoned Traveler686Views11likes24CommentsInability to Edit Player Attributes
Now that the game is out, it is officially confirmed that we once again do not have the ability to edit generated players attributes, potential, bio, etc. This is extremely disappointing and I will once again not be buying the game because of it (along with the grey silhouettes). I understand that not everything can be updated from year to year but this is something that every other sports game does and something that EA's College Football 25 was able to implement via patch. The NHL series' franchise mode is the most restrictive out of any other major sports game and at this point, it seems like it is not oversight or inability, but rather a deliberate game design decision. If possible, is there any way to confirm that the developers have any plans on adding this feature to the game? Any sort of comment from EA on this would really help those of us who are expecting this feature to temper our expectations moving forward.Stunning_daddy6 months agoSeasoned Traveler709Views11likes7CommentsNavigating the forum.
Not sure if its the browser I'm using but I find this forum difficult to use compared to the previous one. Having replies to posts hidden until you click a link (which is tiny and hard to see) makes it difficult to know whats been said, especially if their is multiple different quoted replies within the one thread. I get the daily digest email and when I come on the forum to find posts that were in the email its a bit of a struggle due to all the drop down links. Would be much easier if all posts were made visible without having to go through multiple links.Stubo_NHL247 months agoNew Ace124Views11likes11Comments
