Full Presentation
I'm excited that the focus this year was offline, specifically franchise mode. But I have to say, I am equally disappointed that full presentation is not back. The team knows how requested it is, and I'm sure they've seen our suggestions by now that it be on a toggle switch for those who aren't as interested. I understand the syncing issues might make it impossible to do for online, but it could have just been put back into offline modes since that's what the team was working on anyway.
Fix the matchmaking in WoC
Hi, feels nice to pay 60% more for a game that is actually broken. Our team has played the whole week and everyday its hours sitting in the dressing room as we are connected to North America opponents while we are based in Europe. Matchmaking fix needs to happen fast. Just bring back the same options as you did have in the 24.. Please react fast as ppl are really getting angry inside the community because you cannot play decent games in EASHL/WoC. Also add the match my room size in there. Thanks bye.
Creation Zone - Disappointment
Another year of the same exact 10 arenas to choose from. Another year of the same logos. Another year of the same city and team names. Another year of ECHL logos but no AHL or CHL logos. Another year of pre ordering the game and immediately coming here to post my disappointment. Why is this mode so neglected?
Navigating the forum.
Not sure if its the browser I'm using but I find this forum difficult to use compared to the previous one. Having replies to posts hidden until you click a link (which is tiny and hard to see) makes it difficult to know whats been said, especially if their is multiple different quoted replies within the one thread. I get the daily digest email and when I come on the forum to find posts that were in the email its a bit of a struggle due to all the drop down links. Would be much easier if all posts were made visible without having to go through multiple links.Team Builder in NHL 25
The addition of team builder to NHL 25 would be incredible. For many years, I have spent countless hours in the creation zone, creating hundreds of teams and thousands of players. Team Builder is far superior to the NHL creation zone. The creation zone has barely been updated since 2017 (maybe even longer?) and Team Builder would be a fantastic solution and a welcomed feature. This is something that benefits both online and offline players. Thanks EA.
Patch 1.1.0 Are you serious?
Anyway absolutely nothing that I and others have requested has been included in this patch, purchasing the deluxe edition was pointless for us who play chel as its not worth playing with the features that are missing and certain bugs... I'm disgusted the game has released as it has, and will 110 percent not be buying another EA Sports NHL game again on release... From lack of feedback (apart from one of the community managers which has been nothing constructive) I genuinely believe unless they bring someone new in to make these games how they used to be its potentially a downhill from here... I know many others who wont buy your games day one again either, and it's sad because of the memories many of us make on your game. Please get the passion back, this is the last post I will be putting on here and will wait to see if the devs actually patch what we have asked for... https://youtu.be/N64U7-jNmKs?si=9r2JYFxeTkIGI3JA So I just want to put this video here because someone has finally come out and been honest about the NHL franchise and I want to give this guy his props for doing it because the NHL youtubers may normally get well let's just say they're probably paid but I won't get into that because for obvious reasons but this guy deserves props because he speaks to truth and I think the devs need to see this video because the NHL franchise is so out of touch with its community it is unbearable at this point like come on guys figure it out or let someone else do it
Inability to Edit Player Attributes
Now that the game is out, it is officially confirmed that we once again do not have the ability to edit generated players attributes, potential, bio, etc. This is extremely disappointing and I will once again not be buying the game because of it (along with the grey silhouettes). I understand that not everything can be updated from year to year but this is something that every other sports game does and something that EA's College Football 25 was able to implement via patch. The NHL series' franchise mode is the most restrictive out of any other major sports game and at this point, it seems like it is not oversight or inability, but rather a deliberate game design decision. If possible, is there any way to confirm that the developers have any plans on adding this feature to the game? Any sort of comment from EA on this would really help those of us who are expecting this feature to temper our expectations moving forward.
“Flex cam” Goal Celebrations
Please, for the love of god, I beg of you PLEASE make it an option to turn off the “flex cam” goal celebrations. I seriously cannot think of anything more inauthentic and flat out annoying in the entire game. They look terrible, and I’m sorry, but nobody, NOBODY in the NHL celebrated goals like how the flex cam moments do. They ignore their teammates and stand in an awkward pose, and you can’t even skip it. Please please please please PLEASE make it an option to turn it off. The regular celebrations were completely fine the way they were! What was even the reason to change them? Come on.
The new symbol on the ice for slapshots can we turn it off?
Are we stuck with another symbol on the ice like the pressure meter?this time the new well timed slapshots can we turn this blinking red/gren/grey thing off??we do not need more arcadey stuff on the ice like pass bottons and pressure meters the game need to be present like a real tv game experience not a pinball NHL game with flashing colours all over the ice so give us the choice to turn these things off.
STILL no "Match Club Size"?
C'mon EA...do better. Sure you fixed the human goalie thing so that human G's will match with clubs with human G's...but why did you not put "Match Club Size" back in? Absolute L. Not surprised though...the silence from EA when everyone and their uncle was asking about it spoke volumes, and usually means EA KNOWS it's gonna be a hated move. EA_AljoCan you confirm whether this was deliberate? Or if it was an oversight and will be patched in ASAP?
Usual request about full presentation mode
It's been a BIG topic on this forum for a while now. I don't understand what you guys don't understand at that point. One of the biggest treads on this forum was about the removal of full presentation broadcast back on NHL 23. We, the community (and especially the hardcore offline players who plays for immersion and realism), have been pretty clear and vocal about this being an issue. A lot of us, including me, have decided not to buy the game until this feature was brought back. Even for one year, because of said bugs about the new presentation, it was unacceptable. How could a once well-trusted franchise could possibly think that it was a good idea to remove the immersive pregame presentation? ALL of the biggest sports games have super pumping pregame introduction but NHL. What's the problem? We never have a valid and transparent explanation about why this was removed. Here we are, 3 years later on a "new" engine with a game only available on the latest generation of console and we still don't have a full presentation mode. This is unbearable and unworthy of a true sports game. I will never buy another NHL game until this feature is back no matter how good the game is. And don't tell us that "You don't have any details on the topic" or whatever excuse we had for the past 3 years. We want a clear answer. Will this ever come back or not? Until then, you won't have another dime on me. From a really disappointed (again) die hard NHL fan. PS : The new tunnel celebrations are horrible, give us the ability to turn back to NHL 22's celebrations please. This is also unbearable for a lot of us.
Can the NHL 25 pressure Meter icon be turned off?
Does anyone know if the pressure meter icon can be turned off this year? It totally kills the immersion and realism in franchise mode to have that arcade style icon in the middle of the zone, and then the boards flash when it goes “full pressure”. I don’t think I will buy the game this year if it isn’t possible to turn it off. Last year I played 3 games in my Franchise Mode and then came to the realization I couldn’t play anymore with that silly arcade look. Please EA make it an option to turn the icon off! Please!!!
